Alice Keays-Mousseau

May the Road rise to Meet you and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands

Passed away peacefully December 21st, 2010 at Montmagny, Quebec Hospital at the age of 86. Alice Margaret Keays, wife of the late Joseph Mousseau of St Boniface, Manitoba surrounded by his brother George, his son Glen and her sister Josephine.

Alice was born in Matapedia Quebec, June 26th, 1924, daughter of the late James Henry Keays and the late Alice Doiron.

She leaves to mourn her brother George, late Cecile Fortier, three sisters Jessy Late Leonard Comeau, Mona late Georges Henri Dumont, Josephine, late J. Claude Poitras, two sisters in law, Suzanne Dufour, late Lawrence Keays, Gemma Poirier, late Joseph Keays, several nieces, nephews and friends. She will also be remembered by two step daughters Patricia and Jo-Ann and their children Wayne, Barry, Laura, Bobby and Nicholas.

She was predeceased by two sisters: Christy, late Adelard Richard, Therese, late Norbert Bourgoin, seven brothers: Edward, late Therese McKay, Leo, late Christy Water, J.W. Henry, late Gilberte Gaudreau, Charles, late Claudia Boudreau, Lawrence, Ernest Joseph.

J. T. Alonzo Diotte

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Tuesday January 18, 2011 at the age of 79 after a long battle against cancer has passed away Mr Alonzo Diotte.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Helen of 54 years, daughter Lynn (Jocelyn Landry), his grand-daughters Manon (Marc-Andre Ouellette) and Natalie (Dave Shalala) from Fredericton, great Grandchildren Olivia and Jasmine (Ouellette) and Myles (Shalala), his sisters Sylvia (late Roland) Durette from Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Clarisse (late Claude) Landry from Toronto, his brother Johnny (Christina) from New Richmond, QC, sisters-in-law Della Parker Bujold, Laurette (Robert) Durette, Annette (Dave) Allingham, Jackie (late Rod) Legacy, Raymonde (late Cyrille) Benoit and Jerry (late Fred) Benoit, his brothers-in-law Arthur (Jackie) Benoit all from Campbellton and Antonio DesRosiers (late Simonne) from Montreal. Also by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Bertha Diotte.

Clarence David Gillis

Mr Clarence David Gillis, of Campbellton, 71, passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on Friday, January 21, 2011. He was the son of the late Grace (nee; Coffin) and the late James Gillis.

He will be sadly missed by his sister Ada Coffin (Carter) of Gaspe, QC., his brothers; Frank of Lake George, NB., Lloyd of Campbellton and Charles (Elizabeth Ann) of Runnymede, Matapedia Qc. He is also survived by his residence friends George, Billy, Dany, Raymond, T. Paul, Leopold, Gordie, Scott, Chris and Jean Marc; also by some nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Alice and two brothers; Freeman and John Robert (Jackie)

Joan Sansom

It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Sansom, Mississauga, ON., announces her unexpected death on January 16th. She was the daughter of the late William and Jean Sansom of Argyle Street, Campbellton.

She is survived by her brother Paul (Linda), brother Dennis, sister Susan (Victor) Morin, sister Mary (John) Polegi, brother Scot (Linda)

A funeral service will be held in Campbellton in May.

James G. Main

Mr James G. Main of Campbellton passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 16, 2011 at the age of 83. He was the son of the late James Main and the late Julia (nee Fraser) Main of Dawsonville

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife Kaye and children: Valda (Stanley) of Dawsonville, Jamie (Crystal) of Whitby ON., Keith (Connie) of Barrie ON, and Lana (Fernand) of Fredericton, his nine grandchildren:: Alicia, Julia, Kyle, Bill, Corey, Aaron, Isabel, Jordan and Kayelyn, three great grandchildren: Eden, Logan and Preston, his brother Fred Main and sister Glenda McKinnon.

Jim was predeceased by his sisters Gladys Thomas, Doris Fraser and Helen Hennigar and brother Stewart Main.

Pallbearers were grandchildren Alicia Cooling, Julia Cooling, Bill Cooling, Corey Main, Aaron Main and Jordan Main. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Main, Glenda McKinnon, Kyle Main, Isabel Shamsudeen, Kayelyn Main, Fernand Ouellette, Winston Shamsudeen and Charles Firth.

Irene Woodworth
1922-2011

After a short illness surrounded by her family, Irene Burns Woodworth passed away peacefully January 24, 2011 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

Born in 1922 to William and Charlotte Edmunds in Price Settlement, NB, Irene moved to Campbellton and married Douglas Woodworth in 1939.

Irene was employed at T. Eaton Co, and Woolworths for many years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church, WA and the Atlantic Mission Society.

Irene will be fondly remembered by sons Jerry (Valerie) Woodworth of Campbellton, Dale (Marise) Woodworth of Fredericton, daughters Florence (Jim) Thobodeau of Welland, ON, Dora Mae (Clem) Bolduc of Moncton, daughter-in-law Donna Woodworth of Bathurst, and sister-in-law Irene Edmunds of Campbellton. She was a devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Her kind and humble manner will never be forgotten by all who loved her.

She was predeceased by her husband James Douglas Woodworth, son Wayne Woodworth and infant granddaughter Heather, sisters Ida Harris, Violet Oswald and Annie MacDonald and brothers Carl, John and Alvin Edmunds.

Active pallbearers are John Woodworth, Leo Cormier, Bill Budgell, Robert Budgell, Douglas Woodworth and Mark Corkum. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Stewart, Frank Brooks, Harold Wilbur, Peter Edmunds and Gordon Harris.

Donations may be made in Irene's memory to Knox Presbyterian Church, Palliative Care Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.

Leona Duplessis

The death of Leona Duplessis of the Dalhousie Nursing Home and formerly of Nash Creek occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the St Joseph Hospital Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the age of 78. Born in Black Point, she was the daughter of the late Michael Thompson and Rosa Lee (Martin)

She is survived by her sons; Michael of Fredericton, Jason of Fredericton; daughters: Brenda Duplessis of Nash Creek and Joan Duplessis of Jacquet River. She is also survied by her two grandchildren Heather and Edward as well as her sisters Glenda and Val.

She was predeceased by her brothers Jackie and Wendell

Pallbearers were Placide Francoeur, Rickey LaPointe, Carl Shannon, Adrian Hickey, Adam Francoeur and Lee LaPointe.
