Albert Chamberlain
The death of Albert Chamberlain of Lorne occured Friday January 20 2006, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 78.
Born in Lorne, he was the son of John and Margaret (Furlong) Chamberlain. Albert was employed at the Brunswick Smelter for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Lou, son Gerald (Denise) of Doyleville, daughters Elaine Hickey (Gerald) of Lorne, Marilyn MacCormack (Wendell) of Black Point, Iona Hickey (Leonard) of Lorne, Christine Chamberlain (Brian) of Campbellton, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters Florance Mallaley of Eel River and Eva Godin of Nash Creek. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, William, Alex and Andrew and his sisters Marion and Margaret.
His funeral was held from St. Marie Goretti Church Lorne, January 23, 2006, with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Gerald Chamberlain, Wendall MacCormack, Brian Godin, Gerald Hickey, Leonard Hickey, and Gerry Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers were grandchildren Stacie MacCormack, Kayla Chamberlain, Ashley Chamberlain, Stephanie Chamberlain, Curtis Chamberlain, Nathan Hickey, Bradley Hickey, Aaron Hickey, Cindy Roussell, and Allain Roussell. Funeral arrangements in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home,Black Point.

Alton Roherty
The death of Alton Roherty of Belledune, husband of Mildred (Pitre), occurred Saturday, January 14th at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 87.
Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late James Roherty and Mary Ann Beaudry.
Alton served overseas in WWII with the Royal Canadian Army Services Corps., and was a proud member of the Herman J. Good Branch Bathurst Legion. Upon returning home after the war, he worked with his father James taking care of the Belledune lighthouse which he continued to do until 1971 when the lighthouse was de-commissioned.
He was well known in the community through his business as a convenience store/gas station owner which he operated for 22 years. It was the meeting place for many friends to catch up on the news.
He enjoyed political discussions and this may be what interested him in community politics. He had the distinction of being elected the first mayor of Belledune in 1968.
He was an avid hockey and baseball fan, loved a good card game and was a creative story teller especially regarding his WWII experience in Italy and ghost tales from the area. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor and warm smile.
A loving husband of 57 years to Mildred, wonderful caring father to six children, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as a successful businessman.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, sons Al of Belledune, Ricky of Belledune, Mark (Gail) of Belledune, daughter Jane Roherty of Brampton, Charlotte Power (Pat) of Dartmouth, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Ida Brown of Hyannis, Mass., Jean Kealty of Alexandria, Ont, Joyce MacArthur of Miramichi, and Carol Blaszkowski of Montreal.
He was predeceased by his daughter Judy Dudka, his brothers John, Ralph, and his sisters Mary Trace, and Ella Farrar.
His funeral was held January 16, 2006 from St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, with burial in the Parish Cemetery in the spring, officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were nephews Danny Farrar, Chris Farrar, Jim Roherty, Keith Roherty, and son-in-law Pat Power. Honorary Pallbearers were George Culligan, Bobby Killoran, Charlie Killoran, Reggie Russell, Harry MacDonald, and Lloyd Farrar. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home Black Point.

Daniel O'Keeffe
Daniel Ypres O'Keeffe, Born April 21, 1916 passed away peacefully at St-Vincent-de-Paul Nursing Home, Sherbrooke, Quebec, January 4, 2006.
Predeceased by his parents Hugh John O'Keeffe and Opal Keays O'Keeffe of Campbellton, his brothers Wallace, Hugh, and Art, he is survived by his sister Marie O'Keeffe of Montreal and his brother Frank of Vancouver. He leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his many friends around the world.
Cremation entrusted to Cass Funeral Home in Lennoxville, Quebec with funeral mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, N.B. on Friday, January 13, 2006, at 11 a.m.
Earl Connors
The death of Earl Connors occurred Thursday, January 5, 2006, at the St. Joseph General Hospital, in Elliot Lake, Ont.
Formerly of Dawsonville, N.B. and the son of the late William and Eleen Main Connors. He was 79 years old. He will be greatly missed by his family hear in New Brunswick, Bellivelle and Elliot Lake, Ont.
He is survived by one sister (Dede) Delia Ritch of Bellivelle, Ont., also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Lyida Hennigar, Dorothy Mcgiven (Law), May Pilon and her twin brother Jack.
Internment will be in the Dawsonville Cemetery in the spring. Wishes are that any donations be given to a children's charity.
Fern Beatrice Collis
Fern Beatrice Collis passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp., Oshawa, Ont., on Thursday, January 5, 2006.
Devoted mother of Terry Poitras (Micheal) and Elaine Collis, two grandchildren Jacob and Celina. She was the daughter of the late Hannibal and Ida Hoar, sisters Avis Cole, Dorothy Everett (Red), Mary Stokes (Bob), Carrol Mann (Ian), the late Lois Fisher, brothers Steven, Vernon (Jody), and Hollis.
Lovingly remembered by family and friends.
Irene Florence Connors (born Dow)
The death of Irene Florence Connors (born Dow) of 16 Maple Avenue, Tide Head, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 18, 2006, at the age of 90.
Born in Port Daniel West, Quebec, on January 14, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Asa Dow and the late Winnifred Robinson. Irene was a member of the U.C.W., Eastern Star, and Tide Head Seniors. She had many interests, but the most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving her are her daughters Joan (Bill) Flann of Tide Head, and Beverly Ann (Owen) Mailloux, Cross Point, QC, and her sons Kenneth (Vesta) Connors of Campbellton and Eric (Wendy) Connors of Campbellton. Also surviving is her sisters-in-law Alda Collins and Dorothy Pollock, her brother-in-law Eubulus Bisson, her grandchildren Peter, Patti, Perry, Paula, Andrew, Trevor, Stacey, Erica, Courtney, Jo Ann and Doug, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing her was her parents, her husband john A. Connors, her sister Evelyn (Eubulus) Bisson, her baby sister Eileen and her brothers Chester, Fred and Ernie Dow.
The funeral was held from Tide Head United Church on Saturday, January 21, 2006, officiated by Rev. Wendell Gregan, with interment in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were grandchildren Peter, Paula, Jo Ann and Erica. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Mona Miller
The death of Mona Miller of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 7, 2006, at the age of 72.
Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Leo Thibodeau and the late Lucy Young.
Surviving is her common-law husband Gilles Robichaud, her daughters Karen Thompson of Dalhousie, Brenda Diotte (Rheal) of Dalhousie, Lisa Miller of Dalhousie, Carla Miller (Charlie Dupuis) of Dalhousie, and Joanne Jones of Dalhousie, her sons Scott Miller of Dalhousie Junction and Mark Miller (Donna) of Point La Nim. Also surviving is her brother Ronald Thibodeau of Nova Scotia, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on January 11, 2006, officiated by Rev. William Arseneau, with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
Olive Rita Keeley
The death of Olive Rita Keeley, resident of Manoir Antoinette in Atholville, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 18, 2006, at the age of 82.
Born in Campbellton on November 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Adams and the late Louise Lejeune.
Surviving is her daughter Elaine (Albert) Roy of Campbellton, her sister Dorothy Pratt of Moncton and her brother Earle (Myrtle) Adams of Campbellton. Also surviving is grandson Gregory (Angela) Roy of Moncton and great granddaughter Keeley Roy of Moncton.
Predeceasing was her husband Joseph Keeley of Campbellton, her parents Alexander and Louise, and her brother Lawrence Adams of Saint John, N.B.
The funeral was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on January 21, 2006, officiated by Father Bill Arseneau, with interment in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
