Kay (Kathleen) Mann

Kay (Kathleen) Mann, at her residence, Cobourg, on Monday January 19, 2009, at the age 83. Kay (nee Christie) wife of the late Glenford Finley Mann. Daughter of the late George and Annabelle Christie. Dear sister of Peggy Radatzke and Dorothy Poelzer both of B.C. Predeceased by her sister Sheila Cornish. Aunt Kay will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Kay was a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corps Pipe Band and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elizabeth Smellie Br. 452, Peterborough. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg. Interment Cobourg Union Cemetery. Linda Gauthier-Roy
1949 - 2009

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 24, 2009, passed away Mrs. Linda Gauthier-Roy of Val d'Amour at the age of 59, wife of late Rene Roy. She was the daughter of late Gertrude (Carrier) and late Richard Gauthier. She will be sadly missed by her son Ghislain (Gaëtane) of Balmoral; her daughter Johanne Roy (Marcel Doucet) of Balmoral; her granddaughter Melissa; her brother and sisters: Gladys Guitard (late Charlie) of Newcastle, Lillian Charest (late Gordon) of Lorne and Calvin Gauthier (Judy Devereaux) of Lorne; her mother-in-law Rose-Anna Hachey of Val d'Amour. Also, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends will sadly miss her. She was predeceased by her husband Rene, her parents, her sister Eunice and her brother-in-law William Brideau. The funeral was held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the Our Lady of Sacred Hearth Church, Val d'Amour, and officiated by Father Emile Godin with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. Jacqueline (Borden) McLaughlin

In her 78th year at the Etibicoke General Hospital. Daughter of the late Grant Borden and Edith Purser. Wife of the late Robert McLaughlin (1985). Jackie was formerly of North York and Brantford, Ontario, and Campbellton, NB. She is survived by her children; Bonnie Jensen, Woodstock, NB; Patricia Marshall, North York, ON; Terry (Mavis), Brantford, ON; Allen (Molly), Campbellton, NB; Anne, North York, ON; Kathie, NorthYork, ON; Sharon (Glenn) Keays, Fredericton, NB; Kellie (Gordon) Burlington, ON; Daughter-in-law Val,Squaw Cap, NB. Predeceased by her oldest son Royce (1999). Much loved "Gram" and "Nanny" of Sean and Scott Marshall, Jessica McLaughlin (Hooman), Royce (Mireille) McLaughlin, Renae Keays (Phillip), Matthew Keays, and Megan McLaughlin. Beloved Great Grandmother of Emma McLaughlin. Survived by sisters Joan Lyons, Campbellton NB; Ruth (Sam) Chiki, Welland ON, Brothers Earle Borden, Comox, BC and Ralph (Jean) Borden. Predeceased by sisters Jean, Daisy, Joyce and Delha and brother Eric. Cremation has taken place. Service and internment will be held in Campbellton in June

Richard J. Grenier

Passed away at his residence on January 23, 2009 at the age of 42, Mr. Richard J. Grenier. Born in Dalhousie on October 20, 1966, he was the son of Marina Arseneault and step-son of Albert Arseneault. He leaves to mourn his mother Marina Arseneault, step-father Albert Arseneault of Fredericton, step- daughter Kristin Joncas, son Nigel Grenier of Fredericton, sister Jeannie (Rodney) Martins of Charlo. Also survived by two nephews Corey Arseneault and Tyler Martins. The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Wednesday January 28th at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Pallbearers were Gordon Harquail, Herman Lavigne, Kevin Martins, Eldon LaPointe, Charles Larsen and Lloyd Larsen. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Russell Fugere

Friends and relatives were saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of Russell Charles Fugere, beloved husband of Edith Agnes Firth (Fugere) which occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 2nd, 2009. Russell was born in Campbellton on December 24th, 1946, the son of the late William and Mona Fugere of Campbellton, NB. Russell was a dedicated husband, brother and uncle. Russell made his home of 31 years with the love of his life, Edith in the close-knit community of Glen Levit, NB. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Russell was a plumber and pipefitter for 30 plus years with Bradley and Walsh. At the time of his passing he was employed with Godin Plumbing of Bathurst. He was a member of the Local Union 325, Fredericton, NB. Russell had many joys in life and enjoyed each and every one, but his second love was the sound of his Blue Grass music which he played each evening at his home with Edith by his side. Russell enjoyed taking his motorhome when he and Edith would set out on a Blue Grass Concert across New Brunswick or Quebec where he had many great friends. He is survived by his step sons, Larry and Kevin; grandchildren, Shawn, Christinia, Stephanie and Tammy; two great-grandchildren, Kaylence and Kennedi. Beloved sister, Margot Fugere; brothers, John (Coleen), LeRoy (Janice), Toby-Ralph (Donna) and Jim. Many loving aunts and uncles. Russell had many nieces and nephews he enjoyed and loved dearly. By being a supporter of hockey at the Civic Centre weekly he took great pleasure in watching his nephew, Jordan excel in playing minor hockey as a young man which brought back many memories to him. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Maher's Funeral Home Services and were held at St Thomas Aquinas Church on January 8th, 2009. Mass by Friar William Arsenault, music provided by St. Thomas Choir, solos by cousin, Leopold Richard. The readings were read by sister-in-law, Frances Firth. Pallbearers were Mark Parker, Gordie Kerr, Gary Russell, Johnny MacDonald, Bucky LeBrun, Rod Arsenault and Leonard Malley. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Miller, Gerald Kerr, Lewis DeMerchant, Ernest Holton, Aubrey J. Firth, Ralph Nichol, Earl Dunn, Aubrey A. Firth, Bob Glidden, Hery Montefrisco, Gilles Bernard, Eddie Duguay, Willie Lepoint, Eddie Poirier, Bob Coughlan, Lionel Roy, John Cormier, Rod LeBlanc, Russell Robertson, Jack Firth, Robert LeBoeuf, Scottie Walsh, Eucli Arseneault, Ron LeBlanc, Hermil Levasseur and George Berube. "Do not cry for my absence, for I am with God and my prayers are with you. I will love you from Heaven as I have loved you on Earth." The family of the late Russell Fugere would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to each and everyone for the donations, masses, memorials, and flowers, also the phone calls received and the visits at the Funeral Parlor. 1949 - 2009

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at the age of 59 years, passed away Eugene Doucet of Campbellton, husband of Monique (Savoie) Doucet. He was the son of Mrs. Lorina (Savoie) and late John Doucet. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Monique of Campbellton; his daughters, Liette (Daniel Duguay) of Cross Point, QC and Vicky (Robbie Bremner) of Dalhousie-Junction; his grandchildren, Carter, Danie and Megan; his mother, Mrs. Lorina Doucet of Montreal, QC; his sisters and brother: Linda (Luc Raymond) of Montreal, QC, Lionel 'Pitou' (Julie Gallant) of St-Arthur and Diane (Pierre McSween) of Montreal, QC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and by many friends. He was predeceased by his father, John. The funeral mass was held on Monday, January 26th, 2009 in the Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton and officiated by Father Romeo Morrison with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. Dr Fernand Côté

A la Villa Providence de Shédiac le mercredi 28 janvier 2009, à l'âge de 71 ans, est décédé Dr Fernand Côté, domicilié à Shédiac mais autrefois de Campbellton. Né le 28 juin 1937 à Ste-Françoise, Québec, il était le fils de feu Alfred Côté et de feu Marie-Anna St-Jean. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Jeannine LePage-Côté; ses trois fils: Yves (Monique), Jean-François et Stéphane; deux petits-enfants Isabelle et François; ainsi que ses frères et soeurs: André, Armand, Ida, Nicole, Roger, Réal, Yvon, Gilles et Marcelle. Fernand était un médecin (omnipraticien) retraité depuis 1995. Il a fait ses études à l'Université Laval de Québec. Il a travaillé à Rimouski puis surtout à Campbellton, N.B. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée au Salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church à Moncton (858-1900). Les funérailles auront lieu en l'église N-D-de-Grâce, chemin Mountain à Moncton, le mercredi 4 février à 14h. L'inhumation se fera dans le cimetière N-D-du-Calvaire à Dieppe. Heures de visite le mardi 3 février de 14h à 16h et mercredi dès 13h jusqu'à l'heure du départ (13h45). Dora (Lagacé) Doiron

ATHOLVILLE - Passed away at the Bathurst Regional Hospital on January 29th, 2009 at the age of 82, Mrs. Dora Doiron. Wife of the late Léonard Doiron of Atholville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lagacé and the late Pamela Haché. She leaves to mourn, her children Nora (Claude Jean) Atholville, Lucien (Charleen Pelletier) Rimouski, PQ, Jean-Claude (Jacqueline Lapointe), Nackawic, Jacques (Jeannine Poirier) Campbellton, Lise, Atholville, Aline (Gilbert Lapointe), Nackawic, Yves (Gisele Cayouette), Atholville, Louis (Madeleine Lavallée), Atholville; five sisters, Corinne, Yvonne, Adelia, Aline and Lorraine, all of Atholville; two brothers, Henri from Kedgwick and Émile from Moncton; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Léonard and one son, Charles. The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atholville on Monday, February 2nd at 11am. Father Roméo Morrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Multiple Sclerosis or Our Lady of Lourdes Parish would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Ivan James David Dempsey
1930 - 2009

Ivan James David Dempsey, 78 years, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday morning, January 24th, at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury. Born in Jacquet River, New Brunswick on February 5th, 1930, he leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Harriet (nee Guitar) Dempsey of Sudbury. Beloved father of Brenda (loving friend Kelly) of Sudbury, David (wife Liz) of Chelmsford, Dorothy (husband Doran Guitard) of Sudbury, Louis (wife Joanne) and Donald both of Jacquet River, N.B. and Catherine of Sudbury. Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, Denis, Danny, Deborah, Donna, Jeffery, Jennifer, Tammy, John, Robert, Douglas; and by nine great grandchildren, David, Chelsea, Nathan, Sarah, Emily, Shalyn, Jakson, Alexia and Ajay. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters he will be forever in the memories of several nieces, nephews, family members in Moncton and Jacquet River and by his new family from Extendicare Falconbridge. He will be sadly missed but memories of his kind, pure and accepting spirit, his great sense of humour will be treasured always. We will always remember his love for his garden, all stray pets and animals but most of all his accepting the love of God and respecting the life he gave us for a short time on earth. Anita (Kerr) Mercier
1963 - 2009

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 8, 2009, passed away Anita (Kerr) Mercier of Campbellton at the age of 45 years. She was the daughter of Isabelle (McGrath) Kerr. She will be sadly missed by her son Allan, her mother Isabelle, her brother Stafford, her boyfriend Charlie Bernier of many years. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many friends. The funeral mass was held at Marie Queen Church in Richardville on January 12th, 2009 and officiated by Rev. Romeo Morrison with burial to take place in the parish cemetery in the spring.
