Benoit Gionet

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 31, 2010 at the age of 90, Mr. Benoit Gionet. Born in Caraquet on December 18, 1919, he was the son of the late Cyrenus Gionet and the late Malvina Hache.

He leaves to mourn his daughters Colette (Gerald) Leblanc of Atholville, Georgette (Fernand) Duclos of St Arthur, Patricia (Louis) Guimond of Atholville and Joanne (Daniel) Briard of Pointe-a-la-Croix, his sons Irené Gionet of McLeods, Jean Claude (Lina) Gionet of Campbellton, Percy Gionet of Dalhousie Junction and Roland (Mariette) Gionet of Rexton his sisters Rosalie Gionet of Trois Rivieres, Angelina Doucet of Montreal and Alphonsine Robichaud of Shippegan. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his wife Delia Mallet Gionet.

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Wednesday, February 3 at 11 am.

Catherine (Honey) Stewart Kendall

Passed away at the Magog Hospital on Sunday, January 17th, 2010 at the age of 82. Honey was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Miller) Stewart of Dalhousie, NB and beloved wife of Clarence Kendall, Ayer's Cliff, Quebec, loving mother of Janna and Doug (Susan), adoring and fun-loving grandmother of Jamie and Andrew.

She was predeceased by her brother Jim in 2007.

Honey leaves to mourn two sisters Jean Stefano of Lennoxville, Quebec and Patricia Brown of Fredericton NB, sister-in-law Jean Stewart of Dalhousie, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honey was a graduate of Dalhousie High School and received her music degree from Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. She moved to Quebec in 1949 and taught music home economics and commercial sewing in several high schools in the Eastern Townships, including Alexander Galt Regional High School until 1984. Visitation was held at the Cass Funeral Home, Lennoxville, Quebec.

Simonne Benoit Desrosiers

It is with great sadness that the Benoit family would like to announce that Simonne Benoit Desrosiers of Montreal, QC. formerly of Campbellton has passed away on January 8, 2010 at the age of 79 at the Centre d'Accueil Alfred Desrochers Montreal.

Besides her dear spouse Antonio Desrosiers she is survived by one brother Arthur (Jackie) Benoit and five sisters; Della Parker Bujold, Helene (Alonzo) Diotte, Laurette (Bob) Durette, Annette (Dave) Allingham and Jackie Legacy; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Benoit and Raymonde Benoit Levesque all from Campbellton, along with many nieces and nephews and friends.

The funeral was held at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church in Montreal, on Friday January 15, 2010.

Mary Margaret Mundle

Mary Margaret Mundle passed away at the Campbellton, Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 27th. Born in Campbellton on June 26, 1917, she was the daughter of Margaret (Campbell) and James Paul Alexander. She is survived by her son Jim (Beverly) of Kamloops BC, daughters Bonnie (Bill) Gordon of Belfountain, ONt., and Holly (Kirk) Cheney, of Grand Manan Island NB six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband John Stewart Mundle two brothers Harold and Ronald Alexander and three sisters Ruth Stevens, Jean Stevens and Rae Forster.

A memorial service in Mary's remembrance will be held in the spring. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Campbellton Regional Hospital Foundation, Knox Presbyterian Church or any charity of the donors' choice.

William Edward Black

Born in Campbellton NB retired to Edmonton Alberta in 1995 to be closer to family. Left to celebrate a life well lived yet mourn their loss is his beloved wife of 53 years Muriel.

Forever in the hearts of his children sons William and Eric, daughters Jodi (Douglas Gregoire) and Kelly (Jean Claude Gaudreau) and grandchildren Jason Colin, Courtney, Logan and Emily, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bill will be missed by his remaining siblings Merle (Bud) Everett and Edward. He was predeceased by his parents Lydia and Edward and siblings Randolph, Robert, Gary, Allan and Elaine.

The family would like to thank the staff at Alberta Hospital, the Good Samaritan Society Southgate Care Center and the Choice program for their dedication, care and compassion shown toward Bill and his family.

Bill had requested that memorial tributes be made to support the Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Society or to your local SPCA.

A private family service will be held at a later date cremation has taken place.

Lucille Emerton (Audet)

On January 26th 2010, Lucille Emerton (Audet) passed away at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa.

Survived by her son, Jason Emerton (Tina Barr) and grand-daughter Emily May, Sarah and Kelsey of Cornwall ON., brothers, Yvan Audet, Armel Audet, Jean Yves Audet of Charlo, and sister Yvette Audet of Gatineau QC, daughter of John Emile Audet (deceased) and Stella Landry of Charlo and sister Micheline Audet (deceased).

Lucille was a kind person living every day with an undeniable passion for life. Struggling through many years with multiple sclerosis, her father was tested but never lost. Lucille succumbed to a brief arduous battle with cancer but her strong will was ever-present.

Rest now in peace Lucille - your pain is gone and y our beaty eternal in Heaven.
