Carol Ann Allard

The death of Carol Ann Allard of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 24, 2006, at the age of 63.

Born in Minto, N.B. on April 26, 1942, she was the daughter of Eddy Cormier and the late Cora Wade. Surviving is her husband John B. Allard of Campbellton, her father Eddy Cormier, her daughter Wendy (Foster) Rashid of Dartmouth, her sister Barbara (George) Gould of Dalhousie, her brother John (Susan) Barthe of Malauze. Also surviving are her grandchildren Leila and Yasmin Rashid, her nieces and nephews John and Joy Austin, Rick and Eddy Frenette, and Cindy, Cher and Ian Barthe.

Predeceasing her was her mother Cora Wade and her sister Margaret Austin.

The funeral was held from Maher’s Funeral Chapel in Campbellton on January 26, 2006, officiated by Father Bill Arseneau. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.

George Jr. Williams

The death of George Jr. Williams of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 20, 2006, at the age of 76.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late George Williams and the late Martina Monzello. George was Fire & Safety Coordinator with the N.B.I.P. mill in Dalhousie. He was also a member of the Anglican Church, a mason, Town Councillor, Member of the N.B. Liquor Commission and member of the N.B.I.P. Mill Fire Department.

Surviving is his wife Maxine E. Pollock Williams of Dalhousie, his daughters Shauna (Patrick) McGraw of Halifax, N.S., Sally (Robert) Davis of Port Perry, Ont., and Anne (Douglas) Mintie of New London, P.E.I., his sister Billie Handley of Bathurst, N.B., his brothers Linden and Earl Williams both of Dalhousie and six grandchildren.

Predeceasing him were his parents, son Ricky and sister Pearl.

The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on January 23, 2006, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser (Anglican Minister), with interment in Dalhousie in the spring. Any donations made to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

John A. Maltais

The death of John A. Maltais, resident of the DVA wing of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, occurred on January 27, 2006 at the age of 88.

Born in Eel River Cove, N.B., he was the son of the late Antoine Maltais and the late Bella Pitre. John was employed with the Groundwood Dept. at the N.B.I.P. mill in Dalhousie. He was a veteran of WWII and member of the Legion Branch #17.

Surviving him is his wife Doris Lavigne Maltais of Dalhousie, his daughters Diane Brown (Michael) of Dalhousie and June Hocquard (Chris) of Ottawa, Ont., his sons Michael (Wanda) Maltais of Trenton, Ont., Danny (Sue) Maltais of Moosejaw, Sask. and Jude (Carla) Maltais of Campbellton, his sisters Laura Methot of Dalhousie, Maggie Doucet of Dalhousie and Cecile Hachey of Eel River Crossing. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church on January 31, 2005, officiated by Rev. W. Arseneault, with interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery Dalhousie in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Kerry Rioux

The death occurred on Monday, January 16, 2006, of Kerry Rioux, of Summerside, aged 39 years.

Survived by his wife Lori (Girard) Rioux; daughters Samantha and Sloane Rioux; by his mother Ethel (Shearer) Rioux, Campbellton, NB; sisters Debbie Rioux; Margo (David) Gallant; brothers David (Mary), Michael (Susan), all of Summerside; Carl, Poplar Grove; Kevin, Miramichi, NB; and by 4 nieces and 8 nephews.

Predeceased by his father Thomas Rioux on January 10, 2006. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside.

No visiting hours by personal request. Funeral Thursday with funeral service at St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Kerry Rioux Children’s Trust Fund would be appreciated.

Patricia Nelson

The death of Patricia Nelson, resident of the Dalhousie Nursing Home, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 24, 2006, at the age of 90.

Born in Petit-Rocher, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Theodule Roy and the late Emelie Boudreau.

Surviving is her daughter Rochelle (Richard) Mistretta of Germantown, Tennessee, USA, her son Charles (Judy) Nelson of Winnipeg, Man., her sisters Sr. Alma Roy of Bathurst, N.B., Augustine Baldwin of Montreal, P.Q. and Rosaline Boudreau of Montreal, her brother Rodrigue Roy of Montreal. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceasing were her parents and her husband Wayne Nelson.

The funeral was held from St. John the Baptist Church in Dalhousie on January 27, 2006, officiated by Rev. Yvon Doiron, with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
