Amanda Diotte

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 15, 2007 at the age of 92, Mrs. Amanda Diotte of Richardsville. Born in Campbellton on September 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Louis Bernatchez and the late Marie Jeanne Loubert.

She leaves to mourn her children Albert, Jeannine, Irene, Yvette, Ernest, Gerard, Richard, André, Roger, Raymond, Thérèse, George and Nathalie. Also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Edmond Diotte, her son Louis and her daughter Rose Marie.

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Tuesday December 18th at 4pm. Father Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment at Our Lady of Snows Cemetery this spring. Pallbearers were Raphaël Roy, Guillot Diotte, Guy LeBlanc, Gilles Arsenault, Mathieu Arsenault and Daniel Arsenault.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Barbara B. Miller
1937-2008

Barbara Miller, 70, of Eel River Bar, wife of Alex Miller passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday January 13, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband Alex Miller of Eel River Bar, five sons: Ronnie, George, Eric, Rene and Tony; three daughters: Linda, Nancy (Harn) and Patricia (Hachey); 18 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind three brothers: Jerome, Robert, and Richard and one sister: Eileen, all of the United States.

She is predeceased by her parents: Blanche (Lescault) Walsh and Francis L. Walsh, her brother Francis Walsh and two sisters: Joan Martin and Margaret Zuginnis.

A funeral service was held at the St. John Bosco Church on Victoria Street in Dalhousie on January 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Darlington Cemetery in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Barbara Miller.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.

Catherine Guitard

The death of Catherine Guitard of Belledune occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Wednesday January 16, 2008 at the age of 88. Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Louis Guitard and Harriet (Moore).

She is survived by her son Dennis of Palm Bay Florida, brothers Allen (Viola) of Jacquet River and Arnold of Jacquet River, sisters Jean Chamberlain (Lawrence) of Montreal, Harriet Dempsey Ivan) of Sudbury, Barbara Doull of Jacquet River as well as 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Catherine was pre-deceased by her husband George, brothers Charles and Lawrence and her sister Margaret.

Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River Thursday January 17, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.. Pallbearers were Louis Dempsey, Joe Legacy, Nathan Meade, Scott Carrier, Noella LaPointe and Patrick Guitard. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Earl Walker

The death of Earl Walker of Black Point occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the age of 78. Born in Strabane, Ont. he was the son of the late Herb Walker and Venetia (Waller).

Earl was employed at Brunswick Smelter, Belledune for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife Daisy (Cline), daughter Brenda of Black Point, sons Bruce (Valerie) of Grand Prairie Alberta and David of Fredericton as well as his brother Glen of Strabane, Ont. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Donald. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations to the Palliative care unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital in memory of Earl would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Randolf Keith Mann

Relatives and friends were saddened to hear of the death of Randy Mann, of Tide Head, N.B. after a lengthy illness. He was 54 years old. He passed away on January 11, 2008 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Robert Mann and Christine Irvine Kierstead Mann.

He is survived by one brother Robert Kierstead and 6 sisters, Joyce Kierstead, Lois (Donald) Crozier, Grace (Milton) Fitzgerald, Dawn (Alison) Gallie, Bonnie (Bruce) Banks, Brenda (Terry) Mckinney, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Gordon Kierstead Jr., and Arthur Kierstead.

The Service was held at the Maher Funeral Chapel, on January 14, 2008, and was conducted by the reverend Jim Postlewaite. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
