Mrs Geraldine (Firlotte) Murphy Fournier
The death of Mrs Geraldine Fournier of the Dalhousie Nursing Home and formerly of Charlo occurred on February 28, 2010, at the age of 93. Born in Saint John, NB, on December 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George Firlotte and Mary Guitard.
She is survived by her daughter Esther Mercier (Gaston) of Balmoral, her son, Leslie Murphy (Emeline) of Ontario, eight grandchildren; Debra, Michael, Jo-Ann, Danny, Lisa, Brian, grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Norman Firlotte (Sophie) and two sisters Rita Perrott and Theresa Dickie.
She was predeceased by her first husband Ernest Murphy (1981), her second husband, Adéoda (Ray) Fournier (2005), her son Arnold Murphy (1993), and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral was held from St Francis-Xavier Church in Charlo on March 2, 2010.
Gertrude Chassé
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 2, 2010 at the age of 85, Mrs Gertrude Chassé. Born in St Alexis, QC on November 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Arseneault and the late Amanda Pitre.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Jacqueline Pollock (Allan) and Lisa Richards, her sons Claude (France) Denis (Annick), Gilles (Evelyne), Maurice (Noella), Camille (Lyne), and Daniel, her sisters Fernande Arseneault and Lorraine Arseneault. Also survived by her dgrandchildren Chad, Marguerite and Claudelle, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Roger Chassé.
Funeral mass was held from our Lady of Snows Campbellton on March 4.
Elizabeth Peggy Margaret Metallic
Family and friends were saddened to hear about the sudden death of Elizabeth Peggy Metallic who passed away on February 25, 2010 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was 74.
She was born on September 8, 1935 in Listuguj. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Vicaire and Margarite Methot.
The community of Listuguj mours Peggy's passing. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her two brothers, John Melvin Vicaire and Joseph Vicaire, eight children, Nicole (Dwayne), Donna (Aurele), Anita, Karen, Carl, Christine, Dolly and Rose Ann. As well as 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and more on the way.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Mary Jane Barnaby, Margaret Vicaire Bernier, two brothers, Percy Martin, Robert Vicaire, Raymond Vicaire, her four children, Peggy Ann, Wayney Boy and Howard Jr., Carol and her granddaughter Julia.
Pallbearers were Peggy's grandsons; Tyrone Metallic, Evan Metallic, CJ Wysote, Shawn Metallic, Sheldon Metallic and Edward Martin, Honorary Passbearers were Fred Metallic Jr., Aurele Isaac, Dwayne Ward, Tommy Larocque, Robert Vicaire, Patrick Metallic, Jacob Martin and Denver Martin.
Funeral Services were held at the St Anne's Church in Listuguj where Peggy was a dedicated member of the choir. She will be sadly missed.
Roger Beaudoin
The death of Roger Beaudoin of Doyleville occurred March 4, 2010 at Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 62. Born in Lorne, he was the son of Emile Beaudoin and Hazel (Godin).
He is survived by his parents, wife Rita (LeBlanc), sisters Aline Lanteigne (Claude) of Doyleville, Jeannine Beaudoing (Ron) of Bathurst, Crystal McEwen (Nathan) of Saint John, nephew Darrell, and nieces Denise, Tammy and Susy.
His funeral was held from St Maria Goretti Church, Lorne, Tuesday March 9, 2010.

Raymond Doucet
1929-2010
At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the age of 80, passed away Mr. Raymond Doucet of Campbellton, husband of Mrs. Therese (Porlier) Doucet. Born in Mountain Brook he was the son of Leon Doucet and the late Nora McIntyre.
He is survived by his wife Therese of Campbellton; his children; Real (Sylvie) of Moncton, Henri (Joanne) of Charlo, Marc of Moncton and Richard (Mary) of Fredericton; his grandchildren; Pierre, Mathieu, Simon, Sebastien, Bianca, Gabrielle, Amelie, David, Dominic, Kristen & Caleb; his sisters and brothers; Alphonse (Bernice) of Charlo, Louis (Aline) of Charlo, Esther Langlois (Jean) of St Hubert, Qc, Therese Allard (Elie) of Eel River Crossing, Martial (Ernestine) of Dalhousie & Alexina Robichaud (Omer) of Charlo. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and his granddaughter, Joannie.
The funeral mass was held on March 11, 2010, in the Our Lady of Snows Church.
Pallbearers were his grandsons: Pierre , Mathieu, & Caleb and his nephews; Gilles, Luc & Guy.

Roy Carrier
The death of Roy Carrier of Doaktown occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton March 3, 2010 at the age of 82. Born in Lorne, he was the son of Ida (Godin) and the late Patrick Carrier.
He is survived by his mother Ida, sisters Rita Mallaley of Lorne, Leona Carrier of Caplan Quebec, Murien Godin (Aurel) St Simeon, QC, brothers George (Jessie) of Lorne, Harold (Patsy) of Belledune as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his father, wife Rita, brothers Joe, Percy and Willard, as well as his sister Isabelle.
His funeral was held from Saint Maria Goretti church, Lorne on March 8, 2010.
Pallbearers were Michael Carrier, Roy Mallaley, Claude Godin, Wayne Godin, Val Lavigne and Cecil Chamberlain.
Elsie Poirier
A loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and nurse lost her battle with Parkinson's disease at the age of 85. Elsie Poirier passed away on February 11, 2010 at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, BC.
Elsie was born on March 4, 1924 in Dalhousie, NB. She went to primary and secondary schools in Campbellton, NB, graduated in 1942. Soon after, Elsie went to Nursing School at St. Joseph's Hotel Dieu Hospital in Campbellton, graduating in 1947 and started a life of nursing and caring for people.
Elsie married Paul Poirier of New Carlisle, QC on October 5, 1947 and moved to New Carlisle. She often travelled around the Gaspe coast assisting a local doctor to deliver babies, care for patients and even at times acted as a veterinarian for wounded pets. Elsie and Paul raised a family of four children in New Carlisle.
In 1962 the family moved to Campbellton, NB and Elsie nursed at the Hotel Dieu hospital. In 1964 the family moved to North Bay, ON where Elsie continued to nurse and even began oil painting, later becoming a very accomplished artist.
The family then moved to Pierrefonds, Qc (Montreal) in 1967 where Elsie became a surgical nurse at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe Claire, QC and later became the head nurse on the surgical floor.
Predeceased by her husband Paul on December 3, 1980, Elsie eventually retired from nursing on May 29, 1989 and lived in Pierrefonds until October 2004, moving with her daughter June to Elkford, BC to be closer to her other 2 daughters, Carroll and Paula and their families.
Elsie was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2005 and eventually moved in to Rocky Mountain Village in Fernie BC, in assisted living, where she was treated with the greatest of care. Her battle with Parkinson'[s disease was very courageous, fighting for her independence to the very end. Everyone is so proud of her determination.
Elsie is survived by her daughters Carroll MacKinnon (Jack) of Elkord, BC, Paula Smith (John) of Elkford, BC and June of Elkford, BC and son Barry Poirier of Escuminac, QC., her grandchildren Billy (Megan), David (Sabrina), Robbie and Ryan (Zenia) and Jason (Vanessa), her greatgrandchildren Zadia, Zander, Brock, Noah, Josh and Felicia. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Stewart (Mina) of Campbellton, NB and brother Bob Stewart (Phyliss) of Louisville, Kentucky and her sister Jean Daniels of Gibsons, BC.
