Danny Lynch

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 6, 2012 at the age of 73, Mr. Danny Lynch of Tide Head.

He leaves to mourn his wife Jeanne-d'Arc Francoeur, his stepkids Jean-Guy, Rita, Raymond, Annette, Juliette, Lilianne, Pauline, Nicole, Ghislain and Gilbert. Also survived by his great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Percy Lunch, mother Josephine Arsenault, brother Ronny, daughter Wendy, stepkid Alain.

Jeanetta (Smith) MacIntosh

Jeanetta (Smith) MacIntosh peacefully passed away, with her family by her side on March 5, 2012, at the age of 97. The beloved wife of the late Russell (Pat) MacIntosh, and predeceased by her siblings Alice, Gerald and Harvey. Cherished mother of Robert (Sandra) of Collingwood, Lorraine (ordon) of Big Fork, Montana, Bruce (Lynn) of Campbellton and Ronald of Toronto. Loving aunt to Roger and Alexander and grandmother to Derek, Gordy, Kara, Chantal, Bryan, Kyle, Neil, great-grandmother to ten wonderful children and one great great-grandchild.

Jeanetta lived most of her life in Dalhousie Junction where she was a member of the Saint James United Church choir, founding member of the Chaleur Echoes and often introduced herself as Jeanetta Smith of Lily Lake, with a broad smile. She spent many of her remaining years in Whitby Ontario.

Lionel Arseneault

It is with great sadness that Lionel Arseneault's family announces his death which occurred March 10th, 2012 at the Dalhousie palliative care unit at the age of 93. Lionel was born April 2, 1918 in Darlington, the only son of James (Jimmy) Arseneault of Darlington and Emerilda (Tremblay) of Lac St Jean, QC.

At age 22, he married the love of his life, Donalda (Levesque) of Charlo, just prior to his leaving to serve in WW11. When he returned from war, he and Donalda built a home and raised their family in Charlo.

He is survived by four children Marie of Rimouski, Jeanne of Belford, France, Paul (Emilie) of Charlo and Bettie of Petit-Rocher, four grand-children Caroline, Linda, Annie and Martine, four great grand-children Sebastien, Marc-Andre, Chloe and Yannick.

He was predeceased by older sisters Blanche, Emilia, Delima, an dMararet and then in 2006 by his beloved wife Donalda.

For many years, Lionel was an active member on the executive board of the Royal Canadian Legion BR. # 17 in Dalhousie.

Those who have crossed path with this wonderful human being will remember him best by the sound of fiddle. He was a passionate violin player.

Pearl Boudreau McDavic

Pearl Boudreau McDavid, 75 years old of Dalhousie Nursing Home, died on March 12, 2012 in the Palliative unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Thompson and the late Grace Demers.

She is survived by her son Keith, sisters Mae (Victor) Zakrevsky, Marjorie (Guy) Belanger and three grandchildren.

Howard David Geraghty

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 5, 2012 at the age of 74, Mr. Howard David Geraghty of Campbellton.

He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret (Chedore), his daughter Connie Main (Keith) of Moncton, sons Mike Geraghty (Lori) of Campbellton Thomas Geraghty (Daniel) of Montreal, James Geraghty of Rothesay, Kevin Geraghty (Irma) of Grand Falls and Shawn Lyons (Nancy) of Milton, ON. Also survived by his eight grandchildren; Dakota, Lyons, Kalryssa Geraghty, Aaron Main, Shawn Lyons Jr., Jordan Main, Hawley Lyons, Devin Geraghty and Kayelyn Main.

Predeceased by his mother Eva (Ferguson) Geraghty, father Arthur Geraghty, brothers Ronald and Thomas, sister Marie.

Pallbearers were Mike Geraghty, Thomas Geraghty, James Geraghty, Kevin Geraghty, Shawn Lyons and Keith Main. Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Geraghty, Connie Main, Nancy Lyons, Lori Robinson, Irma Lavrijsen, Daniel Vaudrin and Ronnie Geraghty.

Laurent (Lawrence) Boudreau

Sunday March 11, 2012 at his residence at the age of 77, passed away Mr. Laurent (Lawrence) Boudreau of Campbellton, husband of Noella Pitre. Originally from Quebec, he was the son of the late Edith Cyr and the late Leon Boudreau.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Noella; four children; Gilbert (Lise Dumont) of Moncton, Carole (Theo Levesque) of Val d'Amour , Denise (Rene Downing) of Moncton and Jacques (Denise Daigle) of Dalhousie-Junction; his sister Aline (Randy McRae) Of Campbellton; his nice grandchildren; Eric, Luc, Joanie, Mathieu, Monika, Emmanuelle, Jacob, Alain and Melissa; his five great grandchildren; Gabrienle, Samuel, Claudie, Anthony and Nicolas.

Mr. Boudreau was predeceased by his parents and daughter Marie.

Patrick Hickey

The death of Patrick Hickey of Belledune occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Thursday March 1, 2012 at the age of 71. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Forrest Hickey and the late Louretta (Russell).

He is survived by his wife Norma (Firlotte); sons Kevin of Jacquet River and Patrick of moncton; brother Charles; sisters Bonnie Moneghan, Irma Hogge, Alma Chapman, Greta Blair, Betty Simms and Anne Finn.

He was predeceased by his sister Lillian Doucet and Doris Hickey.

Maggie May Martin

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 10, 2012 at the age of 78, Mrs. Maggie May Martin-Mannion.

She leaves to mourn her husband Edward R. Mannion, daughter Brenda Mannion and husband Frank Harrison, son Steven Mannion, son Paul Mannion, daughter Margaret Barker and husband Tim Barker. Also survived by her grandchildren Chrystal Mannion, Frank Harrison, Travis Harrison, Ashley Barker, Steven Mannion, Gionanni Mannion, Tim Barker Jr., Alexus Mannion, Mystik Mannion, Mariah Nieves, Savannah Mannion and Desirea Mannion, great grandchildren Miley Clana Harrison and Tye Hamelin.

Rita Angeline Thibeault (Lepage)

Passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 13, 2012 at the age of 86, Mrs. Rita Angeline (Lepage) Thibeault, wife of Robert Thibeault.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Robert Thibeault and her children Angie Claudette (John Hannington), Jeannette (Ovila Levesque) Rollande and her son Jean-Claude (Pierre Simard) eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her sisters Therese (Gignac), Liliane (Poirier), Anita (Emile) Auger, Lauraine (Pelletier), Laurette (Thibeault), her brothers Fortuna Lepage and Rene (Bertha) Lepage, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews , nieces and friends.

Walter Legacy

The death of Walter Legacy of Armstrong occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Monday, March 5, 2012 at the age of 66. Born in Armstrong, he was the son of the late Sanford and Amanda Mary (Furlong) Legacy.

Walter was employed at the Brunswick Mines, Belledune Fertilizer and Brunswick Smelter for over thirty years.

He is survived by his wife Yvette, step daughter Kim Guitar(Gary) of Hampton, granddaughters Madison and Jorja; brother Fidel (Joan) of Armstrong and sister Mary Lou Patturelli (Charlie) of Boston as well as many nieces and nephews.

Albina Brown

The death of Albina Brown of Dalhousie occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home March 13, 2012 at the age of 91. Born in Paquetville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Boucher and the late Marie (Gauvin).

She is survived by her husband Wallace; sons Michael (Diane) of Dalhousie, Pat (Catherine) of Pt La Nim, Paul (Jennifer) of Campbellton daughter Pauline Schlosser (Gregory) of Charlo; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Muriel MacAllister

The death of Muriel Viola MacAllister of Benjamin River occurred at the Palliative Care in Dalhousie on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the age of 89. Born in Seaside on December 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alpheus A. Ward and Elsie (Dickie).

She is survived by her sons, Ken (Carol) of Point la Nim, Melburne (Elaine) of Abbotsford BC., Rod (Pat) of Charlo, daughters Cheryl Gallen (Don) of Seaside, Norma Lafleur (Yves) of Montreal; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren as well as her sisters Velma Nichol (Royce) and Helen MacCurdy.

She was predeceased by her husband Melville, son Ray, brothers Leslie, Allen, Wendell, Gordon and sisters Gladys and Hilda; and infant great grandson, John Edward.

Pallbearers were Arthur Taylor, Don Gallen, Yves Lafleur, Eric Cook, Ron Ward and Walter Parent. Hornorary pallbearers were Joyce Nichol, Sandra Dickie, Philemone Allard, Kathy Marcoux, Jean Parent, Heather Ward and Lynn Taylor.

Clement LaPointe

The death of Clement Lapointe of Gravelhill occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the St. Joseph Hospital Saturday March 4, 2012 at the age of 74. Born in Gravelhill, he was the son of the late Frank LaPointe and the late Stella (Gagnon).

He is survived by his daughters Audrey LaPointe of Dalhousie and Rachel LaPointe (Terry Pictou) of Eel River Bar; son Clement Jr. (Tammy) of Glen Levit, 10 grandchildren, a great granddaughter; brothers Leonard Everette, Lawrence; sisters Doris Carrier, Gertie Hickey, Mona Richard, Janie Bertin, Cora Lavigne, Roslyn Mallaley and Florence Lapointe.

He was predeceased by his brothers; James, Delphis, Basil and Francis.

Darlene MacDonald (Basque)

In loving memory of Darlene MacDonald (Basque), who passed away in Grande Prairie, Alberta, formerly of Listuguj on March 4, 2012 at the age of 59.

She is survived by her two sons Ted and Todd, five granddaughters Desiree, Samantha, Autumn, Willow and Sydney all from Grande Prairie, her father Daniel Basque , her sisters Carmel Vicaire of Listufuj and Marie Pauyla Gobeleiel of Ste Julienne, QC., her nephews Jayson and Joshua and niece Virginia from Listuguj.

She is predeceased by her mother Margaret Bernier (Vicaire).

Ila Katherine Fitzpatrick

Passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2012 at the age of 86, Ila Fitzpatrick wife of the late Earl Fitzpatrick. She was born on November 29, 1925, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Gaudin) LeBlanc and the late Fred Leblanc. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Ila was an avid reader, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, played bingo and followed golf. Her greatest joy however was her two grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Fitzpatrick (Bryan MacNaughton) of Tide Head, Jean Woods (Jim) of St John, and Nancy Fitzpatrick (Chris O'Hara) of Fredericton and her sister, Isabel Gagnon of White Rock, BC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Emily and James Woods, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, and a sister Irene Grant.

Onard Godin

The death of Onard Godin of New Mills occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital March 17, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Doyleville he was the son of the late Frank Godin and the late Isabella (Carrier).

He was a lifelong fisherman fishing in the Bay of Chaleur for 65 years.

Onard is survived by his wife of 53 years Jacqueline (LaPointe) ; daughters Darlene Turner (Jeff) of Richmond Hill ONT. Susan Bonner (Patrick) of Saint John, Eileen Godin (Mark) of Saint John; son David of Charlo; seven grandchildren as well as his brothers Jimmy, Willard and Clovis and sisters Frances Sheard, Elsie Parsons and Jean Bahrey.

He was predeceased by his brothers Charles, Ivan, Ronnie and sister Mary Stella.

Pallbearers were Sherman Lapointe, Arthur Taylor, Archie Richard, Lloyd Lapointe, Leander Lapointe and Ricky Lapointe.

Pearl (Auld) Fitzsimmons

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pearl (Auld) Fitzsimmons on March 17, 2012 at the age of 81. She was the daughter of Clarence Auld and Margaret (Splude) Auld of Dalhousie.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her niece Shelley Gauthier of Bathurst, daughter in Law Elaine McKay, Dalhousie, one nephew Glen Gauthier, four great nieces Samantha, Brittany, Kaylee and Tarrah, one great great nephew Jacob all of Bathurst, four grandchildren Kevin, Theresa (both from Ottawa) Joshua (formerly of Dalhousie) and Kyle (Moncton and one son Scott Fitzsimmons (Dalhousie).

Pearl worked for the Town of Dalhousie as business clerk for 23 years. Pearl had a kind heart and a strong love of family, friends and animals.

She was predeceased by her brother Murray Auld and her sister Claudine (Auld) Gauthier. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Louis Poirier

Wednesday March 14, 2012 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 87, passed away Mr. Louis Poirier of Atholville, husband of the late Alice (Durette). Born in Atholville, he was the son of the late Ida Parent and the late Stanislas Poirier.

Besides his sisters Marie (late Paul Gallant) of Atholville and Catherine (late Albert Bertin) of Atholville, he will be sadly missed by his children; Gisele (Raymond Boudreau) of Atholville, Paulette (Roger Pitre) of Edmundston, Rosa (Dan Constable) of Dartmouth, Robert (Murielle Rioux) of Dieppe, Jocelyne (Gilles Gallant) of Atholville and Huguette (Richard Audet) of Campbellton also by his grandchildren; Brigitte, Roobert, Melanie, Isabelle, Joey, Daniel, Samuel, Jean-Francois, Nathalie and Chantal and his great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Marie-Eve, Alex, Julie-Pier and Gabrielle.

Mr. Poirier was predeceased by his wife Alice.

He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was also a founder of the Atholville Fire Brigade and was an active member for over three decades. He was a volunteeer all his life for the Canadian Legion.

Beatrice Doucet

The death of Beatrice Doucet of Lorne occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home March 14, 2012 at the age of 102. Born in Lorne she was the daughter of the late Alexander Carrier and the late Mary Rose Lie (LeBreaux).

Beatrice was married to her husband Wilfred for 52 years until his passing in 1979. She was well known in the area for her cooking skills, love of bingo and above all the incredible sense of humour.

She is survived by her son Lloyd (Trudy) of Jacquet River; Lydia Godin of Belledune, Adelaide Duplessis of Fredericton Rita Bannett (Bob) of Beaton On., 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, half brothers Donat, Alex and Celestin Carrier and half sister Lucy Waters.

She was predeceased by a son Alex; great granddaughter Gisele as well as her sisters Marion, Elizabeth and Theresa.
