Arnold (Cully) Frenette

The death of Arnold (Cully) Frenette, of Jacquet River, New Brunswick, occurred suddenly on Thursday, February 26, 2004. Born in Jacquet River on January 29, 1930, he was the son of Edgar Frenette and Audrey (Doyle) Frenette. He was orphaned at an early age and was attended to by his great aunt, Annie Ultican, during his formative years.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and was associated with various businesses as well as working for the Provincial Government for a number of years. He was well known throughout the north shore and will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Ada Hickey.

Along with his wife he is survived by two daughters; Audrey (Lloyd) Frenette-Donnelly of Jacquet River, Shanna (Lloyd) Harquail of Florenceville; two sons, Michael (Kim) of Jacquet River and Robert of Fredericton. Arnold is also survived by his brother Eugene Frenette of Abbotsford, British Columbia and three grandchildren, Cullen and Kate Harquail, and Shannon Donnelly.

Joan Mallaley

The death of Joan Mallaley of Bathurst, formerly of Lorne, occurred on March 4, 2004, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 56.

Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of Florence Chamberlain and the late James Mallaley.

She is survived by one daughter Josee Savoie (Claude) of Campbellton, one son Serge Pitre of Quebec, two sisters Beverly Chamberlain (Albert) of New Mills, Shirley Furlotte (Owen) of Thunder Bay, Ont., one brother Terry Mallaley (Joan) of Fredericton, one grandson Austin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Joyce Cameron Chapados

The death of Joyce Cameron Chapados, wife of Doug Chapados, occurred March 1, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 72.

Born in Sussex, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hedley Cameron and Sarah Robinson. She is survived by her husband Doug, sons Ken of Cambridge, Ont., Mike (Rena) of Point La Nim; daughters Lynda Carr (Don) of Point La Nim, Nancy of Ottawa; two sisters Marguerite Devine of Sussex, N.B. and Elizabeth Baskin of Sussex, NB, as well as six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters Doris Flanagan and Stella Burgess.
