Anastasia Sharpe

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 26, 2007 at the age of 98, Mrs. Anastasia Sharpe of Campbellton.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Dawna Biddiscombe of Campbellton. Also survived by 1 grandson Perry Biddiscombe of Victoria, BC and 1 great grandson Alexander Biddiscombe. Predeceased by her father Alexander Arseneau and her mother Catherine Blake.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday March 1st at 11 am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Interment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in the spring.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Clovis Landry

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 25, 2007 at the age of 76, Mr. Clovis Landry of Dalhousie. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Cyril Landry and the late Philomène Basque.

He leaves to mourn his wife Gilberte Godin of Caraquet, his son Roland (Irène) of Balmoral and Donald (Sylvie) of Dalhousie, his daughter Suzanne of Dalhousie, his three grandchildren Eric, Nathalie and Matthieu and his great granddaughter Haley. Predeceased by his two brothers René and Norbert (Tiguine) and three sisters Lina, Louisa and Cora.

Visitations were held at Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie. The funeral mass was held from St. John Baptiste Church Dalhousie on Tuesday February 27th at 11 am. Father Réjean Landry officiating. He will be sadly missed by his family & friends.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Georges Borris

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 22, 2007 at the age of 71, Mr. Georges Borris. Born in Val D'Amour on August 5, 1935, he was the son of Robert Borris and Aldea LeBlanc. He was a truck driver by trade.

He leaves to mourn his wife Emilienne Perron, his daughter Carmelle B. (Camille) Ouellette from Malauze, his sons Réjean (Aurore ) Borris Cross Point, QC , Steven (Jeannot) Borris Malauze, his sisters Rita Savoie, Simonne Johnson and Gladys Wilson, his brothers Ernest, Ronald and Donald Borris, 3 grandchildren Eric Ouellette, Caroline Ouellette and Meliska R. Borris.

Predeceased by his parents, sister Ernestine Lavoie and his brothers Eugène Borris and Hazen Borris. The funeral mass was held from Notre Dame du Sacré-Coeur Church Val D'Amour on Monday Feburary 26th at 11am. Father Godin officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Joseph Leo Paul Arseneault

At Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls, Ontario on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Husband of Mae (St. Onge) Arseneault. Dear father of Carol Wilson and her husband Bob, Niagara Falls. Grandfather to Will Saunders and Jason Arseneault, great grandfather to William, Andrew and David Saunders, Tristan, great great grandfather to Ethan. Survived by brothers Rene Arseneault and wife Eileen, Wilfred Arseneault and wife Jean bother of Campbellton, Willard Arseneault and wife Shirley, Ridgeway, Ontario. Predeceased by Raymond Arseneault and wife Theresa. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance was held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill, Ontario.

Lonnie Carrier

The death of Lonnie Carrier of Lorne occurred at his residence Wednesday Feb.21/07 at the age of 49. Lonnie was a talented musician, artist and photographer who also loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his Maman Evangeline, parents Jacqueline and Alphie Lavigne, brothers Ross and Tony, sisters Rejeanne, Sylvia, Tillie, Feeny, Pauliphy, Gisele, nephews John and Bobby, niece Lindsay and grandniece Madison. He was predeceased by his grandfather John R. Carrier.

His funeral was held from St. Maria Goretti Church Lorne, Monday February 26, 2007, officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were Maurice Lavigne, Christopher Carrier, Omer Hickey, Jessie Lavigne, Dale O'Brien, Allison Carrier, Mitch Hickey and Jim MacMillan. Mary (Power) Lanteigne

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 26, 2007 at the age of 79, Mrs. Mary (Power) Lanteigne of Campbellton. Born in Caraquet on May 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Xavier Power and Virginie Haché.

She leaves to mourn her daughters Jacqueline Harquail of Dalhousie, Germaine Boucher Montreal and Sonia Borduas Campbellton, her sons Jean-Guy Lanteigne (Simonne) of Rimouski, QC, Yvon Lanteigne (Claudette) Dalhousie, Robert Lanteigne (Bonnie) Moncton, Louis Lanteigne (Thérèse) Dalhousie, Paul Lanteigne (Diane) Dalhousie, Richard Lanteigne Campbellton et André Lanteigne (France) Dundee, sa soeur Mabel (Power) Lanteigne Campbellton, also 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her husband Omer Lanteigne, sisters Yvonne (Power) Gosselin and Hedwige (Power) Desrosiers, her brother Charles Power.

The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Thursday March 1st at 2 pm. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Interment will be at St. John Bosco cemetery Dalhousie in the spring.

Stella Mary LeBlanc

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 23, 2007 at the age of 69, listening to her favorite "Pavarotti" and with her devoted son and daughter-in-law "Babe" and Carol, her beloved daughter Diane, her adored granddaughter Christina and friends Louise and Richard by her side. She will be sadly missed by her other "Sweet little Hearts" her grandsons Jason, B.J. and Dylan, her granddaughters Jessica and Jacqueline and her great grandchildren Olivia and Hunter. She leaves to mourn her other son Fred and his wife Susan, her brother Danny and sisters Rosaline and Gertrude and will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral mass was held from Mary Queen Church Richardsville on Monday February 26th at 4 pm. Father Morrison officiating. Pallbearers were Gary Savoie, Richard Thibeault, Dr. Vijay Sharma, Donnie Durette, Louis Laviolette and Scott Savoie.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Sylvia Carrier

The death of Sylvia Carrier of Lorne occurred Monday Feb.19, 2007 at the age of 73.She was born in Lorne the daughter of the late Joseph Mallaley & Evangeline (LaPointe) Mallaley.

She is survived by her sons-Gary (Glenda) of Lorne, Sylvio (Delores) of Montreal, Sherman (Pam) of Lorne, Scott (Sacha) of Lorne, daughters Patsy Carrier (Tracy) of Ottawa, Bernadette Lavigne (Myles) of Lorne, Brenda Esliger (Ronnie) of Lorne, Marlene Gagnon (Floyd) of Amherst, 14 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Angus, Allen, Evans, Andrew, and sisters Jackie Dempsey, Anna Lavigne, Darlene LaPointe and Ernestine Carrier. Sylvia was pre-deceased by her grandson Ryan Esliger and brothers Ralph and Ernest and her sister Cecile.

Her funeral was held from St. Maria Goretti Church Lorne, Saturday, February 24, 2007, officiated by Father David Ferguson with interment in the spring in the parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alex Esliger, Joshua Lavigne, Manuel Carrier, Jean Marie Lavigne, Mason Dempsey and Gary Mallaley.

Honorary Pallbearers were Eldon Mallaley, Allen Mallaley Jr., Kevin Mallaley, Waylon Carrier, Craig Dempsey, Jeremy Lavigne and Jacob Esliger. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.
