Ronnie Jacques
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather Ronnie Jacques on February 4th, 2009 at the age of 72. He was surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Monique and Peter, brother Walter and great-grandson, Ethan. Ronnie will be sadly missed by his children, Paul, Roland, Caroline, Rodney, Walter, Richard, former wife, Shirley, companion, Maureen, 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers Henry, Marcel (sailor), Mathew, Clyde, Roger and only sister Dolores. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Joey Gray, George Peter Jacques, Ian Jacques, Cass Jacques, Jesse Jacques and Zachary Arpin-Jacques. Honorary pallbearers were, past and present Mi'gmaq Chiefs, Allison Metallic-Listuguj, Scott Martin-Listuguj, Brenda Gideon-Listuguj, Jerry Wysote-Listuguj, Toni Dedam-Listuguj, Everett Martin-Eel River Bar, Bernard Jerome-Gesgapegiag and Leonard Paul-Eskasoni, NS. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home. Funeral mass was held at Saint Anne's Church in Listuguj, Quebec. Burial will take palce in the Saint Anne's Church cemetery later in the spring. Wanda Margaret Mann 1921 - 2009
Wanda Margaret (Law) Mann of Riverview and formerly of Mann Settlement Que., passed away Friday, February 20, 2009, surrounded by family at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter Glenda (Rick) Legrand of Beaverton Ontario, son Ewart of Shediac NB, son Ian (Carol) Mann of Riverview with whom she resided, grandchildren Blair (Andrea) of Moncton, Blake (Heather) of Halifax, Cindy Woodall of Toronto, Patricia Mann (Jeremy Young) of Toronto, Jamie (Allyson) Mann of Thunder Bay Ontario, Stephanie Mann of Calgary and Weston Mann of Shediac, great grandchildren Avery and Ellie Morgan Mann of Moncton and Landyn and Vera Jean Mann of Thunder Bay; as well as nieces and nephews. Our Mother was predeceased by her Mother and Father Charlie and Margaret Law of Flatlands NB, her husband Richard (Dick), twins son and daughter Lorne (Wendy) Mann and Lorna (Doug) Powers, brothers Arnold (Helen) Flatlands, Reginald (Hectorine) of Campbellton NB, Morden (Hazel) of Flatlands NB, Ritchie (Lyda) of Toronto Ont., Charlie (Elda) of Vancouver and Frank (Gurtie) of Flatlands NB, Sisters Laura (Tom) Haley of Matapedia Que, Freda (Cliff) of Dalhousie NB, Dorothy (Borden) of Campbellton NB, Queenie (Sanford) Mann Settlement Que., and Jean(Jim) Haley Matapedia Que. Visitation was held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, February 23rd, 2009. The funeral was held on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 from the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mark Barrett and Rev. Steve Berube. Interment took place in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB. Albertine Gauvin
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Feburary 22nd, 2009 at the age of 86, Mrs. Albertine Gauvin. Born in Eel River Crossing on November 2nd, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Gaspard Allard and the late Rose Anna Savoie. She leaves to mourn her daughters Alice (Don) Gallant from St. John, Irène Robichaud from Moncton and Rita Gauvin from Boisbriand, her sons Raymond (Karen) from Montreal, Edgar (Colleen) from Charlo and Albert (Lise) from Charlo, her sisters Marguerite from Pointe Claire, Liza from Charlo and Léa from Moncton, her brother René from Eel River. Also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Amédée Gauvin. The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snows Church Campbellton on Wednesday February 25th at 11am. Father Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment at St. John Baptist Cemetery Dalhousie this spring. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
