Zelda Irvine Moores

Zelda Irvine Moores Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 22, 2010 at the age of 69, Mrs. Zelda Irvine Moores. Born September 19, 1940, in Flatlands, NB.

She leaves to mourn her mother, Margaret Irvine, six brothers and two sisters, three sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her father, her husband, her son, and two sisters.

Pallbearers; Allan Moores, Carey Moores, Jason Moores, Christopher Moores, Michael Firth, and Terry Firth. Honorary Pallbearers; Wilson Lagoa, Todd Moores, Harold Gillis, Brad MacNaughton, David MacNaughton, and her Brothers. The Family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the staff of the 4th floor Paediatrics for all their Professionalism Kindness and caring.

Theresa (Terry) Parker

Theresa (Terry) Parker, 78, of Campbellton, died Friday at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a very courageous battle with cancer.

She was born to the late Arthur and Helen Constantine on April 5, 1931 in Salisbury, NB.

She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband, Lawrence (Lunchie) Parker. Terry was a school teacher in Campbellton until she retired in 1989 and she was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. Terry was a very active member of St. Aquinas Church and the CWL.

Terry leaves behind her loving children: Allan (Cathy) of Halifax, NS, Nick (Debbie) of Fredericton, NB, Elaine (Jeff) of Ajax, ON, Janet (Gerald) of Regina, SK, and 11 beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends. She is also survived by her brother Paul Constantine.

The funeral mass was held at 11am on Tuesday, March 23 at St. Aquinas Catholic Church.

Patrick (Pat) Barthe Coulombe

Patrick (Pat) Barthe Coulombe Passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on Monday, March 22, 2010, at the age of 74 years,

Mr. Patrick (Pat) Coulombe was born in Dalhousie on September 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph Coulombe and Georgina (Barthe) Coulombe, both of Dalhousie.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Jane Nicol, and his two daughters Linda of Campbellton and Joanne (David Morgan) of Saint John, his brother George (Dorothy) and sister Rose- Marie (Réal) Poirier, his ex-wife, Jeannine (Dumas) Coulombe and his stepchildren, Caroline (Miguel) Recine and Samuel (Chantal) Recine. He was predeceased by his brother Wallace (Jeannine) of Dalhousie. He also leaves to mourn many nephews and nieces.

He retired from the Campbellton Regional Library where he worked for 28 years as a Bookmobile driver. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton.

Marion LaBillois (Gram)

The sudden death of Marion LaBillois (Gram) occurred on March 17, 2010 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 96. Born on April 23, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Simonson, and the wife of the late John Morris LaBillois, who passed away in 2003.

Marion is survived by her children Joan Caplin, Leonard LaBillois (Peg) Ernest LaBillois (Judy) Patricia Simonson (Richard), Hubert LaBillois (Marie), Robert LaBillois (Rachel), Nora LaBillois (Leo), all residing on Eel River Bar, Jeanette Peter-Paul (Peter) Dalhousie, 48 grandchildren, 107 great grandchildren, and 46 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Dorothy Francis from Eel Ground, NB.

She was predeceased by 3 children, Gilbert LaBillois 1943, Geraldine Narvie 1979, and Irene LaBillois 2006, by 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, all donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements and calling hours took place on Sunday March 21, and Monday March 22nd. Marion (Gram) will be sadly missed by the community of Eel River Bar, family and friends as she was the oldest surviving member of Eel River Bar.

Lillian MacLean

The death of Lillian MacLean of Charlo occurred Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital Dalhousie, at the age of 87.

Born in Blacklands, she was the daughter of the late James Nichol & the late Bertha (Hamilton). Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was always an active member in the church, serving as sunday school teacher for over thirty years, youth leader in the Crusaders as well as past president of the W.M. Group. She & her husband Kenneth operated Mac's Motel & Dinerin Charlo.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth, son Donald (Gloria) of Charlo, grandchildren - Brian, Allan & Heather (Banfield), great grand- children Sarah Maclean & Alyssa Banfield, brother William Nichol as well as her sisters Nettie Chedore & Holly Haliburton. She was pre- deceased by her brothers Sterling, Stanley, Charlie, Kenneth, Allan, Ernest & Alex as well as her sister Beth.

Her funeral was held from St. John's Presbyterian Church, Dalhousie Tuesday, March 16, 2010 officiated by Rev. Fred Howe. Pallbearers were Glen Hamilton, Doug Nichol, Hal Nichol, James Hamilton, Gary Simonson & Scott Chedore.

Leonard Allan Upton

Leonard Allan Upton, 65, Bedford, NS passed away peacefully on March 21, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 18, 1944 in Atholville, NB, he was the son of the late William Louis Upton and the late Margaret Butler.

He was Town Administrator in Dalhousie, NB from 1976 to 1987 after which he worked with Indian Affairs. He and his wife also operated a flower shop for 20 years before moving to Halifax 10 years ago. He was a Reserve Officer for the Restigouche Sea Cadets in Campbellton, NB for many years. He was also President of Campbellton Salmon Festival in 1976 and a member of the Dalhousie Lions Club. After moving to Halifax, he volunteered as Eucharistic Minister at the IWK Hospital for almost 8 years before retiring due to illness.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Irene (Reine) Gallant, two daughters Louise Upton-Ruddock (Ellis) of Bedford, NS and Shelley Upton-Landry (Claude) of Cole Harbour, NS, grandchildren, Nadia & Josh Landry of Cole Harbour, NS, brother William (Bill) Upton (June) of Ottawa, ON, Sheila Upton-Hill (Wayne) and Doreen Upton-Haley (Gerald) both of Fredericton, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Harold Upton of North Bay, ON.

Interment to take place at a later date in Tide Head, NB. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

John LaPointe

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 18, 2010 at the age of 74, Mr. John (Joe) Douglas LaPointe of Campbellton.

Born in New Mills on July 5, 1935, he was the son of the late George LaPointe and the late Stella Mercier.

He leaves to mourn his wife Alice LaPointe of Campbellton, his daughter Sandra Lee McGrath (Perry McGrath) of Campbellton, his son Dale LaPointe of Chatham, ON, his grandson Adam McGrath (Katy McGrath) of Miramichi, his stepdaughter Stephanie McLean (Wally McLean) of Miramichi, granddaughter Alyssa from Miramichi, his brother George (Tony) LaPointe, sisters Lydia Hill of Niagara Falls, ON and Georgette Backs of Toronto, ON . Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donald Etienne Archambault

Passed away at the Veteran's Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, on March 17th, at the age of 93, Mr. Joseph Donald Etienne Archambault, husband of the late Liliane Monfils, formerly of Ottawa, Ontario.

Predeceased by his wife Liliane Monfils and his son John, he leaves to mourn his children, Ginette (Roger Bradley) of Campbellton, Lyne (Michel Gagne) of Montreal, Serge (Karin Zabel) and Marc of Ottawa, as well as his grandchildren, Thomas, Pascale, Mathieu and Nicholas.

A service was held on March 20th at Maher's Funeral home in Campbellton, cremation has taken place and internment will be held in Ottawa.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff of the Veteran's Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital and to Donald's caregivers in particular Gerald Carrier. Donald will be dearly missed.
