Lucien Levesque
The death of Lucien Levesque of 500 Queen Street, Dalhousie, occurred at St. Joseph Hospital on September 10th 2003 at the age of 83.
Born in Nicollette, Quebec, on June 8th 1920, he was the son of the late J.R. Remi Levesque and the late Marie Reine Champagne.
Mr. Levesque worked as a supervisor with NBIP for 42 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva Levesque (Born LeBlanc), his children Simonne (Ralph) LeClair of Dalhousie, Suzanne (Orine) Pimpare of St. Gabriel, Quebec, Raymond (late Alida) Levesque of Dalhousie, Marie Reine (Marc) Bourque of Fredericton, his sister Berthe (Roderick) of Larder Lake, Ontario, and his brothers Wilbrod and Henri of Quebec. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John Peter Joseph
John Peter Joseph of Listuguj, Passed away in Listuguj on September 7th 2003 at the age of 66. Born in Listuguj, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph and the late Lucie Bernard.
John was employed for 20 years as a taxi driver, bus driver and construction worker. He also worked at the local bingo hall and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his daughter Bernadine Barnaby, grandchildren Colton and Sydney Jade Barnaby-Clevette, sisters; Mary Barnaby Joseph, Helen Clement (Clarence), Lucy Clement (Ernest), Sarah Joseph (Emilien) and Joyce Joseph, all of Listuguj, Barbara Stancliffe (Stan) of Vermont USA, Joan Marie Sapier of New Hampshire USA and one brother Adrew Joseph (Rose) of Listuguj. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by Thomas Joseph.
Myra Elizabeth Thompson
Born in Campbellton, former resident of Brantford, passed away peacefully at Thorntonview Nursing Home in Oshawa on Friday August 29th 2003 in her 73rd year.
She was the loving sister of Lloyd Thompson and his wife Lena and Lurlyn Mann and her husband Herbert. She will be remembered by her nieces and nephews and her many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Elizabeth Thompson, her brother Lyman Thompson, and her sisters Attrude Thompson and Chloris Lazenby.
Before Huntington's Disease took her health, Myra was employed for 27 years with S.C. Johnson and Son Ltd., and was a proud member of the Evangel Pentecostal Church, a lont-time of World Vision, traveled extensively, enjoyed photography and reading.
Eveline Lavallee Fontaine
Eveline Lavallee Fontaine passed away on September 6th 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie in her 72nd year. Born February 16th 1931 she was the daughter of the late Trefflee Lavallee and the late Mathilda Roy.
She is survived by her husband Romain Fontaine of Dalhousie, her son Trefflee (Lyette) Fontaine of St. Basile le Grand, her sisters Emilia (Benoit) Pelletier and Therese (Alphonse) Chouinard, both of Campbellton, her brothers Polydore Lavallee of Campbellton and Ludger Lavallee of Matane Quebec, and one grand-daughter Evelyne.
She was predeceased by her sister Ida, her five Brothers, Andre, Michel, Armand, Robert and Emilien (June 2003) as well as her parents.
Gerald Godin
The death of Gerald Godin of Dalhousie occurred Monday, September 8th 2003 at the age of 69. Born in St. Arthur; he was the son of the late Treffle Godin and Clara (Doucet). He was an employer of NBIP for 30 years.
He is survived by hi swife Muriel, two daughters Barbara Furlotte of Dalhousie, Lori Gallie (Chris) of Moncton, sons Alan Godin (Heather) of Dalhousie, Brian Godin (Cristine) of Campbellton, four grandchildren, brothers George (Willie) of Ontario, Joe of Campbellton, Danny of Dalhousie, Donnie of Campbellton, Roger of British Columbia, sisters Geraldine Scott of Calgary, Vivian Travis of Ontario, Charlotte Godin, Barbara Thibodeau of Perth Andover, Theresa Scott of British Columbia, Leona Arseneau of Dalhousie, Eileen Drapeau of Eel River, and Jeanette Arsenault of Dalhousie.
Suzanne Arseneau Loran
The death of Suzanne Arseneau Loran, age 47, of Montreal, Quebec, occurred in Montreal on September 3rd 2003.
Born in Dalhousie NB., she was the daughter of the late Yvon and Rita Arseneau.
She is survived by her husband Alex Loran, Montreal; four sisters Nicole (Allan) Arseneault of Moncton NB., Denise (Ricky) Delaney, Dalhousie, NB., Louise (Brian) LeCocq, Dalhousie, NB., Hélène (Jean-Denis) Arseneau, Montreal Quebec, three brothers, Jean-Claude Arseneau, Cross Point, Quebec, Adrien Arseneau, Montreal and Gabriel (Tobi Simon) Arseneau, Montreal.
She was predeceased by one brother Michel Arseneau.
Rose Furlotte
Born in Eel River Crossing on August 20th 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ernest LaPointe and the late Josephine Allain.
She is survived by her husband, Irvine Furlotte of Charlo, her daughter Suzanne (Denis) Lavallee of Balmoral, her sons Ferdinand "T-Boy" (Dorina) of Mountain Brook and Adrien (Hazel) of Mountain Brook, sisters Viola Hickey of Mountain Brook, Alma (Paul Emile) Diotte of Montreal, May (Normand) Franc of Montreal and Lucie (Gilbert) Poirier of Charlo, brothers Melvin (Florine) of Toronto, Raymond (Yolanda) of Ontario, Normand (Monique) of Montreal, Clarence (Marsha) of Montreal, Patrick (Antoinette) of Ontario and Norbert (Pierette) of Eel River Crossing. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Mailyne, Brian and Jeffery, one uncle Isodore Allain of Eel River Crossing, one aunt Beatrice Clancy of Montreal and as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
