Jean Isabel MacPherson

Jean Isabel MacPherson passed away peacefully on October 4, 2003 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a brief illness with cancer.

Born in Charlo on February 2, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Billy and Margaret (Cook) Beaton and had resided in Charlo most of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, James MacPherson; her son Bill MacPherson, and her daughter, Jean Hannay.

Besides her daughter, Doreen Fleck of Bathurst and her sister Enid Adams of Moncton, she is survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews whom reside in various parts of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta.

At her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. However, a private committal of her ashes will take place at graveside in New Mills cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home.

Alvin Kenneth Thompson

The death of Alvin Kenneth Thompson of Squaw Cap, N.B. occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 3, 2003.

Born in Dawsonville, N.B. on October 1, 1918, he was the son of late Mitchell and Janie Thompson. Alvin worked as a wood mill laborer.

He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel on October 4, 2003 with Rev. Raymond Kraglund officiating. Interment was in the Glen Levit Cemetery. Pallbearers were Howard Cooling, John MacDonald, Bill Thompson, Randy Thompson, Wayman Dunn and Gerald Irvine.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
