The death of George LeClair of Charlo, NB. occurred at Saint Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie on October 4, 2003 at the age of 87.
Born in Charlo on February 24, 1916 he was the son of the late John LeClair and the late Josephine McIntyre and was employed as a carpenter for 40 years. George was a veteran of World War 2 where he served the North shore regiment.
George is survived by his wife Oliva Doucet of Charlo, daughter Lynn (Richard) Majka of Fredericton, sister Yolande (Hector) Poirier as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five sisters; Bernadette, Carmelle, Dora, Stella, and Yvonne, four brothers; Arthur, Lionel, Omer and Robert.
The Funeral was held at St. Francis Xavier Church in Charlo on October 7th, 2003 with internment in the Charlo cemetery.
William Llyman Sansom
William Llyman Sansom of 6 Argyle Street, Campbellton passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 11, 2003.
Born in Campbellton on December 27, 1917 he was the son of the late Havelock Sansom and Annebel Short.
He worked for 35 years as yard master of the C.N.R. he was an elder of First United Church, member of boys club, Tyro, Tuxis and Trail Rangers, gave of his time to Camp Chaleur as a director; councilor & leader and was also a life-time member of the Masonic lodge #32 A&FM.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jean Sansom nee Hamilton, children Joan Sansom of Mississauga, Ont., and companion Jim Bagley, Paul (Linda) Sansom of Phinawa, Man,. Dennis (Diane) Sansom of Bothwell, Ont. Susan (Victor) Morin of Quispamsis, N.B., Mary (John) Polegi of Grand Prairie, Alb., And Scott (Linda) Sansom of Dartmouth , N.S. he is also survived by his grandchildren; Stefan, Sarah, Kevin, Morin, Brett, Colin Sansom, Kerry Dalzell, Peter Sansom, Laurie and Andrew Gaudin.
He was predeceased by his mother, father, brothers, sister and grandson Bradley Sansom.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton with Rev. Olive Ann Archibald officiating. Honourary pallbearers Donald Black, Gordon Black, Kip Walting, Bruce Bremner, Bill Irvine Steve Wiseman, Chester Mcnair, Ralph Mann, Donald Mann and Fred Bujold.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
