Larry McNaughton

Friends and relatives learned with deep regret of the death of Larry McNaughton of Barrie, Ontario, which occurred at the Brantford General Hospital at Brantford, Ontario on Wednesday Aug 27, 2003 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 47.

He was the son of the late James and Maxine (Firth) McNaughton of Matapedia, Quebec.

He leaves to mourn his daughter Ashley , his son Casey and his companion Brenda Shannon , sisters Robin (Larry) Cooper, Ruth (Allan Moores, Carol (Ricky) McNaughton, Kim (Ricky) Gray, Shelly, Tracy (Mathew) Glidden, brothers Pat, Mike, Terry, Jimmy (Liette), Kevin (Patsy), Danny (Maria), Robert, Barry (Sheila), as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

William A. Blake

The death of William Blake of Black Point, occurred on Tuesday, October 14 at his residence at the age of 90.

Born in Black Point, he was the son of the late Wilfred Blake and Alice Murchie.

Bill was a motor mechanic and began his career at Steward McAlister's garage in Jacquet River. He worked many years for Caldwell & Ross Co. mainly in Green River but also in other parts of the province, the to Bristol Motors, Dept. of Natural Resources and finally at Steeves Motors in Dalhousie. He returned to the family farm in Black Point, where he raised beef cattle and grew potatoes and other vegetables.

He was a member of the Bethel Church, Nash Creek, and served as an elder and trustee. He was deeply involved in the construction of the church basement and hall. He served as Treasurer of Miramichi Presbytery for many years and on the Board of the Dalhousie Cooperative. He is Survived by his wife lice, two daughters Mary (Gilles) Pelletier of Moncton and Mabel (Errol) Jamieson of Sydney N.S., son Alex (Rachel) of Campbellton, eight grand-children, one brother Allison (Muriel) of Black Point, and a special cousin Marlon McMaster of Point La Nim, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Joseph Guitar

His death occurred on Tuesday, October 14th, 2003 in Jacquet River at the age of 90.

Born in Armstrong, he was the son of the late Frank Guitar and Louise Cormier.

He is survived by his children Evangeline Carr of Dalhousie, Florance (Raymond) Firlotte of Jacquet River, Alex of Noel Settlement, Theresa (Gerald) Savoie of Lorne, Helen (Ron) Kellachan of Toronto, Paul (June) of Ontario, Mona Guitar of Toronto, Frances Carrier of Doyleville, Ann-Marie Gerard (Wayne Russel) of Belldune, Linda of Eel River Bar, 23 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, brother Raymond, sisters Adeline and Mary.

He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, his parents, son Johnny and grandson Ricky.

Manny Legacy

The death of Manny Legacy of Belledune occurred on October 8th, at the age of 70. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late Sylvester Legacy and Victorine Pelletier.

He is survived by his wife Albertine , his children Blanche (Fidele) Guitard of Belldune, Kieth (Gail) of Belledune, Theresa (Charles) Legacy of Belledune, Gordon (Michelle) of Ontario, Jeannine (Yvon) Comeau of Belledune, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brothers William, Percy, Leo, Evangelist, sisters Blanche, Alice, Antoinette, and Pamela.

Manny was driving truck since he was the age of 14, his passion was playing the guitar and he loved to listen to country music.

His funeral service was held from St. Gabriels church, Jacquet River , Friday, Oct 10, 2003 officiated by Father Benoit. Pallbearers were Michael Legacy, Valmond Legacy, Edward Legacy, Victor Legacy, Simone Legacy and Arnold Ellis.

Yvon "Ivan" Pelletier

The death of Yvon "Ivan" Pelletier of 546 Queen St. Dalhousie, occurred at St. Joseph Hospital on October 16, 2003. At the age of 64.

Born in Eel River Crossing on June 20, 1939 he was the son of the late Omer Pelletier and the late Nora Diotte. Yvon was employed as a custodian.

He was survived by his common law wife Jane Boudreau of Dalhousie, step daughter Carol Ann Boudreau of Chomedy-Laval, Quebec., sons Ken of Dalhousie, Terry of Dalhousie, step-son Brian Boudreau of Pancourt, Quebec, sisters Anne Walsh of Dalhousie, Claudette LeClair of Dalhousie, Jeanette Butlan and Doris Drapeau of Balmoral, brothers Robert, Jean-Guy and Edgar, as well as six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Omer and Nora.
