Patrick Boucher

On Sunday, February 29, 2004, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle against cancer. Patrick Michel Boucher, 25 years old of Fredericton and formerly of Campbellton.

He will be sadly missed by his loving parents Jean-Paul (JP) and Ginette (Fountain) Boucher and his brothers Francois and Mathieu of Campbellton and his loving girlfriend Salisha Tatton and his beloved dog Rockie.

He will also be sadly missed by his maternal grandmother Maria (Lucien) Fontaine of Quebec and his godfather Michel Boucher of Petit Codiac.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Elie (1981) and Therese (1993) Boucher, and his maternal grandfather Lucien Fontaine (2002).

His funeral was held at Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton, on Thursday March 4, 2004, with Father Morrison and Valerie Hachey officiating. Interment in Our Lady of Snows Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Michel Boucher, Benoit Fournier, Roland Fontaine, and Marc Andre Ouellette. Honorary pallbearers were Eric Dancause and Billy Power.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Sr. Joséphine Buotte, F.J.

Sister Joséphine Buotte, f.j. passed away Tuesday March 9, 2004, at her residence, the Provincial House of Les Filles de Jésus, 553 Elmwood Drive, Moncton, at the age of 84, and on her 60th year of her religious profession.

Born March 13, 1920, on Collette, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Benoit Buotte, and the late Obéline Gaudet.

She spent the greater part of her life performing manual tasks for several communities in New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Marie Bernard of South Canaan, NB, Sr. Anne Buotte, p.s.s.f. of Sherbrooke, Q.C.

She was predeceased by a sister Yvonne Bernard; three brothers: Joseph, Wilfred, and Michel.

Remains rested at the Provincial House of Les Filles de Jésus, 553 Elmwood Drive, Moncton, from where the funeral mass was held Thursday March 11, 2004, at 3 p.m. Interment was in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Renaud Lavoie

The death of Renaud P. Lavoie of 326 Victoria St., Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 26, 2004, at the age of 79.

Born in Timmins, Ontario, on June 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Alphonse Lavoie and the late Marie Luce Levesque.

Renaud was an owner and manager of a grocery store and was involved in the Richelieu Club, Legion, Restigouche Golf and Country Club as well as being a veteran of World War II in aviation.

He leaves to mourn his wife Ramona Lavoie of Dalhousie, sons Roch (Lise) of Moncton and Rene of Montreal, sisters Rachele (Paul) Poirier of Dalhousie, and brothers Raymond of Moncton and Germain (Laura) of Dalhousie.

He was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Marie Luce.

The funeral was held at St. Jean Baptiste Church in Dalhousie on Monday, March 1, 2004, with Father Doiron officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Joyce Pettigrew

On February 7, 2004, Joyce Pettigrew, Mew Mills was called to her heavenly home. She departed this life at the Saint John Regional Hospital after having a heart attack. Mary Joyce Elliott was born November 3, 1937, in Black Land.

She was a member and Sunday school teacher of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, New Mills. Joyce was manager of the Dalhousie Workshop for the Handicapped for 30 years. Joyce was a member and an officer of many community services. Her heart and soul was devoted to the workshop, her special family.

Among those who share cherished memories of Joyce are her daughters Shelly, Sherry and Robbie Stewart, grandchildren Timmie and Katie all of New Mills, sister Juanita and Paul Doucet of Charlo, brother Robert and Bernice Ault and a sister JoAnne.

By Joyce's request there was no visitation or service. A private prayer will be held at her final resting place in the family plot at New Mills cemetery.

We celebrate Joyce's life and the contributions she made while living among us.

Georgina Pentland

Pentland, Georgina- passed away at her residence in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Thursday February 26, 2004, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Gerald Pentland. Dearly loved aunt of Norm MacDougall, who was always so kind and helpful to her when she needed him, and his wife Mary Smith. Sadly missed by several other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Bessie Dickie, her sisters Annie MacDougall and Bessie Keays and her mephew Roger Kenney.

A Funeral service was held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. Pentland donations to the Cancer Society of the CNIB would be appreciated by her family.

Maxine Thompson

On March 14, 2004, passed away at the Edmonston Regional Hospital, Maxine Thompson, wife of George Elmer Thompson of Kedgwick River, N.B., at the age of 72 years.

Born in Mann's Settlement, Quebec on October 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Albert Irvine and the late Rhena Irvine.

She is survived by her husband George Elmer Thompson, daughter Brenda Thompson (Brian Bessey) of Riverview, N.B., two sons David Thompson of Victoria B.C. and Kerry (Marjorie Chamberlain) of Kedgwick River, four grandchildren Bonnie Thompson, Meridith Bessey, Cameron Bessey and Graeme Bessey, two brothers William E. Irvine of Campbellton and Daryl T. Irvine of Campbellton.

The funeral will be held from Maher's Funeral Chapel in Campbellton on Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wendell Gregan officiating. Burial will be in the Glen Levit United Church Cemetery in the spring. Active pallbearers were Frank Haley, Frank Fitzgerald, Shane Bolton, Carl Irvine, Alison Bulmer, Bonnie Irvine, Stacey Montgomery and Tim Irvine. Honorary pallbearers were Jackie Letourneau, George Pollock, Gary Thompson, Jean LeGresley, Colin Murray and Charlie Picard. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Mrs. Jacqueline Morrison-Metallic

The death of Mrs. Jacqueline Morrison-Metallic occurred on March 10, 2004, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital in Campbellton, New Brunswick after a lengthy illness with cancer. Born on August 22, 1954 Jacqueline was the wife of Henry Metallic of Listuguj and the daughter of James Morrison (deceased) and Lucille Lavigne both of Listuguj. She is survived by husband Henry Metallic, three daughters, Jill, Abby, Mallory, son Caase and son-in-law Cory Barnaby, two grandchildren Kali and Oakley, two brothers Maynard Morrison and Ray Morrison of Listuguj, nephews; Derek Patterson (Hudson Mass), Billy Morrison, Kyle Morrison, Tyler Morrison, nieces; Sandy Patterson (Hudson Mass), Lucille & Melissa Morrison of Oregon, Jacqueline was pre-deceased by her father James and two brothers Franklin and Reuban. Jacqueline worked as the coordinator for the Listuguj Mi'gmaq Government's Medical Carrier Program for 24 years.

Her loving family and closest friends surrounded Jacqueline at the time of her death. Her remains lay in rest at the family residence 81 Riverside East, Listuguj, Quebec, until the time of funeral on March 13, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., so gracefully officiated by the kind personnel of Maher's Funeral Homes Ltd. Of Campbellton, New Brunswick. Fr. Landry officiated at the funeral mass, readers were Billy Morrison, Leila Jacques, organist was Mr. Mike Day, and the choir was led by Patsy Gray. Jacqueline's brother, Ray Morrison, delivered the eulogy. Internment was in the Listuguj Cemetery immediately after the funeral. Pallbearers for the service were Cory Barnaby, Lewis Barnaby, Fred Metallic, Ivan Martin, Stanley Metallic and Chuck Augustine (Hudson, New Hampshire). Honorary pallbearers were Audrey Isaac, Pam Isaac, Lita Isaac, Judy Ann Isaac, Rose Marie Metallic, Norma Morrison, Myrna Sook, Joanne Martin, and Mrs. Leona Barthelot.

Yvon Albert

Mr. Yvon Albert of 7 Park St., Campbellton, accidentally passed away at the age of 50

Yvon was the son of the late Rene Albert and Alexandrine Roy.

He is survived by his two sons Rene and Alain Albert, both of Campbellton; his mother Alexandrine Albert, brothers and sisters Raymond (Geraldine) Albert of Campbellton, Roger (Paulette) Albert of Campbellton, Russell (Brenda) Albert of Campbellton, Terry (Mathilda) Albert of McKendrick, Marielle (Wallace Best) of Glen Levit, and Carmelle (David Doyle) of Fredericton.

Funeral mass was held at Our Lady Of Snows Church in Campbellton on Monday, March 8, 2004, with Rev. Morrison officiating. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Clarence Williamson

The death of Clarence Williamson of 13 St. Peter Street Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 4, 2004.

Born in Nouvelle, Quebec on March 22. 1922, he was the son of the late George Williamson and the late Louise Bernier. He was a painter.

He is survived by his brother George Williamson of Pointe-a-la Croix, sisters Lina Durette of Campbellton and Rita Senechal of Balmoral.

The funeral was held from Our Lady of Snows Church in Campbellton of February 7. 2004, with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Florence Firlotte

The death of Florence Firlotte of Jacquet River occurred Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax at the age of 61.

Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Guitard and Elizabeth Daigle. She is survived by her husband Raymond, daughters Lisa Guitard (Sheldon) of Jacquet River, Linda Gibson (Bruce) of Kingston, Ontario, sons Jerry of Brampton, Ontario, Jamie of Jacquet River, four grandchildren, brothers Alex and Paul, and sisters Evangeline Carr, Theresa Savoie, Frances Carrier, Ann Marie Gerrard, Mona Guitard and Helen Kellachan.

She was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Arin Gibson and brother John Guitard.

Her funeral service was held at St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, Thursday March 11, 2004, officiated by Father Comeau with burial in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Kenny LaPointe, Bruce Gibson, Gerald Savoie, Sheldon Guitard, Wayne Russell and Derrick Savoie.
