Betty Lee Firth

The death of Betty Lee Firth , resident of 9 Maple Way Lane, Glen Levit, occurred in Campbellton on March 13th 2005 at the age of 58.

Born in Campbellton on October 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Edward Claridge and the late Rita Kerr.

Surviving her is her daughter Lisa (Eddie) Firth of Glen Levit, son Charles (Lisa) Firth of Glen Levit, sisters Sylvia Moores of Robinsonville, Shelia Gallie of Glencoe, Rina Shannon of Montreal and Viva Denesha of Alberta, brothers Gordon Claridge of Campbellton, Jack Claridge of Robinsonville and Albert Claridge of Moncton, grandchildren Britany, Terrel, Amber, Dakota, Jordyn, and Evan.

Mary Julia Berube

The death of Mary Julia Berube of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 8th 2005, at the age of 83.

Born in Campbellton on March 21st 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Roy and the late Lucy Borris. Mary was a member of the CWL and seniors clubs.

Surviving her are her daughters Carole Berube, and Phyllis (David) Roussie both from Campbellton, sons Ronald (Sharon Orsor) of Nekawic, N.B, and Charles (Melissa Bushey) of Dartmouth N.S. eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceasing her was her husband, William Alexander Berube, one brother and five sisters.

Georgina Godin

The death of Georgina Godin of Lorne, wife of the late Joseph Godin, occurred on March 14th 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton and the age of 89.

Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Francis Hickey and the late Ida Lapointe.

Surviving her are her sons Julien (Lorraine) of Fredericton, Bernard of B.C, Ira (Gloria) of Fredericton, Bruce (Linda) of Alberta, David of Alberta, daughters Deanna Godin (George) of Fredericton, and Jeannine Leberge of B.C. Also surviving her are her brothers Eugene and Arsene , and sisters Evangeline Carrier, Julienne Doucet, Zita Carrier, and Annie Godin, 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.

Predeceasing her was her husband Joseph, sons Leonard, Claude and Clarence, brothers Peter and Hedley, as well as sisters Leona Poirier and May Godin.

Henry John (Pete) Furlotte

Born October 11th 1925, died at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 12th 2005. He was the son of the late Henri and Laura Furlotte of Atholville. A veteran of WW2, he was wounded 3 times while fighting in Italy. After the war, he was employed by Fraser Co. Ltd in Atholville, until he retired in 1988.

He leaves to mourn two daughters, Ann Furlotte-Doucette of Campbellton and Elizabeth (Marc) Borris of Lac Des Lys; one son, Michael of Hamilton Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Doris (Sherrard), and two sons Charles and Gordon. He also leaves four sisters, Jean (Guy) Landry of Montreal, Gilberte (Ed) Flanagan, Laurette Mercier of Richardsville, Irene (Marcel) Briere of Montreal and one brother Louis of Atholville. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Robert Morrison, Andrew and Karen Furlotte, Erin and Ryan Doucette and Emanuel and Gabriel Borris, also several nieces and nephews.

James Edward Lapointe

The death of James Edward Lapointe of Lorne, husband of Rita Lapointe, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 80.

Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Edward Lapointe and the late Bertha Godin.

Surviving him is his wife Rita, sons Alvin (Vanna) of Calgary, Onard (Nicole) of Montreal, Antoine (Gail) of Lorne, Louis (Anita) Amherst N.S, Gene of Edmonton Alberta, and daughters Argentine Guitard of Pointe-Verte, Vivian Gallen (Ronnie) of Bathurst, Adeline Doucet (Leo) of Lorne and Annette Lapointe of Jaquet River. Also surviving her are 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother Alex, and sisters Lida Larson, Mildred Carrier, Claudia Guitard and Florence Francoeur.

Predeceasing him was his grandson Danny, brothers Aurele, Gabriel and Murray, sisters Hilda, Argentine and Eileen, sons-in-law James Lapointe and Phillip Guitard and daughter-in-law Valerie Lapointe.

Marie Lauretta Mercier

The death of Marie Lauretta Mercier, resident of the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton, occurred at the nursing home on March 19th 2005 at the age of 74.

Born in Atholville on October 29th 1931, she was the daughter of the late Henry Furlotte and the late Laura Dugas.

Surviving her is her husband Alexandre (Alex) Mercier of Campbellton, daughter Laura Lee Mercier of Campbellton, sisters Gilberte Flanagan of Campbellton, Irene Briere of Montreal and Jean Landry of Montreal and brother Louis Furlotte.

Ralph W. Harrigan

The death of Ralph W. Harrigan of 237 Goderich St. Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 19th 2005 at the age of 66.

Born in Chelmsford N.B., on June 11 1938, he was the son of the late John Harrigan and the late Ruth Clark. Ralph was employed with NB Power as Production Manager for 38 years.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Rosemary (Kelly) Harrigan of Dalhousie; daughter Heather (Mike) Davis of Dalhousie; sons Ronald (Karen) of Iqualuit N.U., Scott of Halifax N.S., and Mark (Samantha) of Miramichi; sister Opal Doyle of Doyles Brook N.B., brother-in-law Charles Glynn of Nelson-Miramichi N.B., grandchildren Gregory and Jill Davis, and Kyle and Mark Harrigan, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Ruth and sister Evelyn.
