Estelle Boudreau
Estelle Boudreau passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 8, 2006, at the Village Nursing Home in the company of her loving family.
Estelle was born on June 25, 1925, in Dundee N.B. to Anna and Charles Parker. She was the second youngest of eight children. Clarence, Simon, Edgar, Irene Essiambre (Richardsville), Adolph, Lionel and Theresa all predeceased except for Irene. She was a member of Les Filles D'Isabelle. She was involved in the Richardsville Seniors Club and performed in various plays with her friends. Sewing, crafts, folk art painting, drawing, bowling, quilting and her loving grandchildren were a few of her many life's enjoyments.
As a young woman Mom won the heart of Neil and the couple were married June 17, 1946. This union resulted in 5 children Barb (Saskatoon), Muriel (London, Ont.), Gisele (Brantford), Richard (Campbellton) and Laurier (Saskatoon).
Under the guidance and patience, oh what patience, the children grew, married and provided grandma and grandpa with twelve loving grandchildren, Michael St. Onge, Kyle sons of Barb and Doug Smeltzer; Scott, Earl Neil and Joanne sons and daughter of Muriel (Price) Boudreau; Luc and Manon son and daughter of Gisele and Gaston Essiambre; Adam, Cory and Sonia sons and daughter (predeceased) of Richard and Cathy; Evan and Alyssa, son and daughter of Laurier and Wanda. And then along came seven loving great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held from Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton, on Saturday, March 11, 2006, with Father Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery of McLeods, NB in the spring. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Martin Bourdage
The death of Martin Bourdage, resident of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 5, 2006, at the age of 90. Born in Campbellton on July 28, 1915, he was the son of the late Francois Xavier and the late Graziella Perkinson. He is survived by his daughters: Huguette Laviolette, Claudette (Reginald Savoie), Grace (George Row), Yvette (Chester Garvie), Ginette (Yvan Bernard), his son Danny Bourdage, his sisters: Aline Boudreau of Dalhousie, Lorraine Cavanaugh of Bonaventure, Alice Vaillancout of St. Jean d'Iberville, Victoria Pardiac of Hamilton. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Bourdage (nee Godin) and his parents Francois and Graziella. The funeral was held from the St. John the Baptist Church in Dalhousie on March 8, 2006, officiated by Father Doiron. The interment will be at the St. John the Baptist cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
Yvonne Maltais
The death of Yvonne Maltais, resident of Moncton, occurred at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton on March 11, 2006, at the age of 85. Born in Saint André of Matapedia on December 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Achile Fortier and the late Marie Louise Dufour. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Casey (Tom) of Toronto, her son Laurent Maltais (Marcelle Lamontagne) of Moncton, her sisters: Louise Boudreau (Richard) of Rimouski, Bernadette Fortier of Saint André, Angéline Roy of Timmons, Ontario, her brothers: Albert Fortier of Shefferville, Qc, Joseph Fortier of Abitibi, Qc, Léo Fortier of Sarnia, Ontario, André Fortier of Napierville, Montreal, TJ Casey her grandchild and many nieces and nephews from the Fortier and Maltais families. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Maltais and her brothers Achille, Euchariste and her sister Jeanne. The funeral was held from Notre Dame des Neiges Church in Campbellton on March 15, 2006, officiated by Father Roméo Morrison. The interment will be at the Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery in Campbellton in the spring. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
