Beatrice Isabel Kennedy Isaac

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 2, 2008 at the age of 77 Mrs. Beatrice Isabel Kennedy Isaac. Born in Lawrence, Mass on August 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William Kennedy and the late Lilian Dubuis. She leaves to mourn her husband of 48 years Patrick Isaac, her children Thomas (Laurie) TautFest, Charlene (Robert) West, James (Mary) TautFest, Lillian (Panos) Cyalamas, Gail (Mark) Raynowska and Kathleen (Todd) Howell. Also survived by her 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her godson Jerome Vitta, many nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne's Church Listuguj on Thursday March 6th at 3pm. Father Evariste Landry officiating. Interment will be at the Parish Cemetery this spring.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Cheryl Margaret MacLean Berent

Cheryl Margaret MacLean Berent of Dalhousie Junction passed away Sunday February 17, 2008, at Campbellton Regional Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Campbellton on June 16, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Wesley MacLean and the late Myrna MacLean née Ross. Predeceased by brother Billy and husband Earnest Berent. Survived by aunt Connie Ross of Barrie Ontario, sister-in-law Anna Chamberlain Dalhousie Junction, niece Irene Zwicnen, Halifax and aunt Gertie MacLean, Dalhousie Junction.

Cheryl was known for her warm and friendly disposition, her great sense of humor, and zeal for life. She had strong faith and was known for her love for her family. Her love for animals was evident with her love for lucky, her beautiful husky dog.

Her journaling she shared with her mom was so brilliant, she knew all our family history and enjoyed sharing it with all of her family. She loved music, Cheryl was known for her quilting.

She was laid to rest at Maher's Funeral Home Dalhousie and service was held at the St. John's Presbyterian Church, Edwards Street. Dalhousie. The pallbearers were friends and family, Sterling Johnson, Stewart MacLean, Cameron Mcrae, Delphis Lantaigne, Paul Frenette and Lloyd Babin.

Burial will be at the New Mills cemetery in the spring next to her husband Earnie.

She is gone but will never be forgotten, our love for her will live on.

A very special thank you to a special person, Mr. Fred Howe that shared time with Cheryl and comforted family at our time of need.

Gordon Hachey

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 1, 2008 at the age of 69, Mr. Gordon Hachey of McLeods, NB. Born in Campbellton on August 15, 1938, he was the son of the late Lionel Hachey and the late Winnifred Durette.

He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret Doyle Hachey, his sisters Florence Mann of Campbellton, Gloria Belliveau of Campbellton, Doris Moore of Campbellton, Jacqueline Ritchie of Montreal, Helen Ritchie of Montreal, Muriel Cyr of Campbellton and Ethel Murchie of Dalhousie, his brother David Hachey of Campbellton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his sisters Shirley Gallant and Judy Savoie.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Friday March 7th at 11am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Readings done by Lynn Hachey and Jackie Ritchie. Interment at the McLeods Cemetery this spring. Pallbearers were John Hachey, David Hachey, Jimmy Alexander, Shawn Loisel, Allan Alexander and Tom Wellman

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Margaret (Bryant) Chedore

Margaret Eleanor Elizabeth(Bryant) Chedore passed away Mar.3 ,2008, at the Campbellton Nursing Home, Campbellton, at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Gordon Bryant and the late Agnes (Firlotte) Bryant.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth , daughter Marsha(Kim) Liverpool, N.S., son Gary(Marsha) Black Point,N.B. and daughter Lynn(Michael Young), Fredericton, N.B. sisters Marie Maisey, Campbellton, Margaret Rasmussen(Christian), Moncton, and,brothers James, Campbellton and Jack, Niagara Falls, On. as well as six grandchildren ,Zachary, Meghann and Lauren Crawford and Michelle, Geoffrey and Brandon Chedore and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Gordon "Teco", William "Billy", and Temple.

Eleanor was a long time employee with Simpson-Sears Canada where she was the order office manager until her illness in November of 1975. She loved to sing and play cards.

Funeral services were held at 11 am, Thursday, March 6, 2008 from Maher's Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers were Mrs. Chedore's grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Campbellton Nursing Home or to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Dr Christopher MacDonald the staff at the Village, Debbie Maisey, Esther Irvine, and Linda Bryant for their wonderful compassionate care and support.

Valmont Paquet

Passed away at the Veteran's Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 29th 2008, Valmont Paquet of Dalhousie at the age of 89.

Born on November 29th 1918 in Dundee, N.B., he was the 2nd son of the late Samuel Paquet and Hilda Savoie and was married to the late Etiennette Pelletier of Dundee, who predeceased him in 1994.

Valmont was a Veteran of the 2nd World War, being a private and gunner of the Canadian Artillery Reinforcement Unit. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe; was overseas for 34 months.

After the war, he worked on the family farm and as a lumberman before he moved to Kedgwick where he worked in the woods at the Rapids Depot for Fraser Company for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, reading, watching television and most especially to lend a hand. He was a private religious person who gave us an example of courage and perseverance during his lengthy illness. He had a special place in his heart for small children whom he loved dearly and enjoyed spoiling them.

He leaves to mourn him, his daughter Suzanne Blaquière of Dalhousie and his son Martin Paquet ( Hélène Blaquière) of Nigadoo; four grandchildren: Anne Blaquière-Nowlan, Luc & Julie Blaquière and Marie-Josée Paquet and 3 great grandchildren: Spencer Doyle, Syloé & Elodie Blaquière.

He is survived by his brothers: Robert (Marie-Paule) of Campbellton, Clair (Solange) of Dalhousie, Laurier ( Fida) of McLeods and sisters Germaine Paquet of Tracadie-Sheila, Corinne Allard of Dundee, Marie-Hèlène Paquet, Daughter of Jesus, Moncton, Gabrielle Paquet, of the religious order Les Servantes de Jésus-Marie of Gatineau, Qc.

He was predeceased by his brother Romain (Hectorine), his sisters Colombe (Roger Lagacé), Sister Eleonore (Irene) of the religious order of Les Servantes de Jésus-Marie of Gatineau, Qc., and Jeanne (Robert Leclair).

The funeral mass was held at the Saint Jean-Marie Vianney Church in Dundee, Tuesday March 4th 2008 at 4:00pm with Father Armel Audet officiating.

The pallbearers were: Luc Blaquière, Stéphan Pelletier, Michel Pelletier, Pierre Roy, François Paquet and Romain Leclair. Interment in the Dundee cemetery in the spring.

The presence of the Veterans from the Legion as honor guards and their ceremony including the Last Post was most appreciated and added a special touch to the funeral.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.
