Mark Edmond Servant

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edmond Servant on March 2nd, 2009 at the Seven Rivers Hospital in Port Cartier, QC, at the age of 56 years and 9 months. Edmond, nicknamed Mondo, was born in Campbellton and moved to Port Cartier at 19 years old, where he lived and worked on construction most of his life, except for two years in Alberta and a year in Campbellton in 2007. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rolande; his son, Marc (Nancy) Servant; daughter, Chantale (Tony) Bourgoin; and four grandchildren, Gabriel, Elody, Raphael and Juliette, all of Port Cartier. He is also survived by three sisters, Colleen (Stan) Horner, of Victoria, BC, Joan (Van) Currie, of Campbellton, Jean Diotte, of Campbellton; and brother-in-law, Murray Diotte of Campbellton; three nephews, Dwight (Irmgard) Diotte, James Diotte, of Campbellton, and Nedos Servant, of Victoria, BC; also three uncles and two aunts, Jim (Rita) Woods, George Woods, of Campbellton, and Alex Alexander, of Saint John, NB, and Pierette Woods, of Campbellton; grandniece, Jessie Diotte of Campbellton; grandnephew, Carlos Luschen, of the Netherlands; and many cousins. Edmond was predeceased by his parents, Lucien Servant and Vera Woods Servant, of Campbellton. Funeral services were held in Port Cartier on March 5th, 2009. His family and many friends will dearly miss Edmond.
