Alice Edna Ross Theriault
On November 25th, 2003, Alice Edna Ross Theriault, the daughter of the late Beatrice Huntington and Sydney Ross of Hopetown, P.Q., passed away at the age of 85. After a lengthy illness, she passed away at home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Harquail in 1945; her second husband, Felix Theriault in 1999; her infant son, Donald Theriault in 1949; her youngest daughter Suzanne Theriault in 2003; grandson, Andrew Harquail in 1992 and grandson-in-law, Etienne Raymond in 2000.
Alice was an avid bingo player, who also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She belonged to the ladies bowling league, was secretary for one of the political parties and she was a member of the Ladies Main Branch Auxiliary.
She is survived by Randy (Donna) Harquail of Saint John, N.B.; Beulah (Paul) Frenette of Point la Nim; Elaine Theriault (Delphis) Lanteigne of Dalhousie; Leonard Theriault of Toronto; Leona (Robie) Mcdavid of Flatlands. There are 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Henry McGrath
The death of Henry McGrath of Glencoe, occurred in Campbellton on November 25, 2003 at the age of 74.
Born in Campbellton on December 31, 1928 he was the son of the late Adelard McGrath and the late Corrine Coutange. Henry was a retired auto body mechanic who worked at Central Garage for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife Isabel (Malley) McGrath; daughter Marilyn (Vincent) Court of Point-a-la-Garde, Que.; step-daughter Lisa (John) Michaud of Niagra Falls, Ont.; sons Roland McGrath of Calgary, Alb. and Donald McGrath of Frankville, Ont.; sisters Rose Marie Pitre, Doreen Weibe and Marlene Shalala; brothers Arthur McGrath, Hector McGrath and Leo Paul McGrath; as well as six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, one sister Rosilda Bourque and one brother Alphonse McGrath.
Joseph (Joe) Julian
The death of Joseph (Joe) Julian of 274 Miller Road, Eel River, N.B. occurred at the St Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie on November 24, 2003 at the age of 56.
Born in Dalhousie, N.B. on January 29, 1947 he was the son of the late Cecile Julian.
He is survived by his wife Merielle Perron; daughters Annette Julian of Eel River Bar, Tracey Julian (Leonard) of Bathurst; step-daughter Sylvie Ann (Danny) Smith of Moncton; step-sons Marc (Lili) Smith of St-Arthur and Sylvin Smith Campbellton; sisters Ruby (Denis) Henderson of Augusta, Maine, Jennevieve (John) Julian of Nova Scotia and Marlene Julian of Calgary, Alberta; foster brothers Arthur Narvie of Eel River Bar and Donnie Caplin of Eel River bar, as well as 12 grandchildren.
Mary B. Lapointe
The death of Mary B. Lapointe of New Richmond and formerly of Nash Creek occurred Tuesday, November 26, 2003 at the age of 86.
Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Godin and the late Filicite Carrier. She was a loving mother who enjoyed music and good laugh. Her life evolved around her family and she will be loved forever and sadly missed.
She is survived by three sons, Norbert of Eel River, Leonard (Geraldine) of Pointe Verte, Larry (Janet) of Nash Creek, three daughters Jeannette (Barry) Hickey of Bathurst, Shirley (Donald) Bishop of Oxford, N.S. Lorraine (Robert) Lebuffe of New Richmond, Que., two brothers Norman Godin of Nash Creek and Leo Godin Doyleville, two sisters Ida McColm of New Richmond, and Lena Thibideau of New Richmond, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband John, two sons Romeo and Emery, three brothers Alex (Jack), Gordon and Omer, one sister Bertha Mae.
Simonne Aubut (Lanteigne)
The death of Simonne Aubut (Lanteigne) of 311 Pineault St., Atholville, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 21, 2003 at the age of 61.
Born in Campbellton on February 28, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Simon Aubut and the late Anne Aubut.
She is survived by her daughters Rachelle (Richard) Quinn and Therese (Ronald) Geraghty; sons Richard (Monon) Lanteigne; sisters Nicole Rattie, Julia Aubut and Yvonne Wilson; brothers Aurele, Ronald, Jan-Claude, Marcel, Julien, Gerard and Lionel; as well her grandchildren Mathieu, Patrick, Joshua, Kelsie and Melanie Harley.
She was predeceased by her husband Fernand Lanteigne.
Viola Duchesne
The death of Viola Dechesne, resident of the Village Nursing Home, occurred at the nursing home on November 25, 2003. She was the wife of the late Leon Duchesne.
Born in Campbellton on July 15, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John Gallant and the late Rose Anna Thibeault.
She is survived by her daughter Denise Duchesne of Quebec; sons Jean Paul (Claire Oulette) of Campbellton, Jean Marc (Denise Chouinard) of Campbellton, Georges (Denise Leger) of haute Aboujagne and Romeo of Bathurst; grandchildren Luc Duchesne, Mario Duchesne, Bruno Duchesne, , Catherine Charest, Pierre Duchesne, Christine Duchesne and Frederick Duchesne; and great grandchildren Kimberly Charest, James Gauthier and Lee Land Duchesne
