James Marsten Moores

James Marsten Moores passed away peacefully at the Dalhousie Hospital on December 1, 2003. He was the son of the late Henry and Eliza (Murray) Moores.

Jim lived his life in Robinsonville and over the years was very active in the community. At the time of his death he was a member of the Robinsonville United Church and the Seniors Club. Jim was an army veteran and a retired registered fishing guide.

His passing is mourned by his sisters, Ethel McDavid and Wanda (Ben ) Stevenson; brothers Harry (Lou), Boyde, and David (Shirley) Moores; sister-in-law Jane Moores and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Nelson, Murdock, Alden, Louis and Richard and sisters-in-law Audrey and Eileen.

Isobel Bond

Isobel Bond , wife of the late Tracy Bond of Windsor, N.S., passed away at Kennety E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, NB on December 15, 2003, at the age of 94.

Born in Black Point, NB,she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel MacMillan and Eva Chalmers.

She is survived by her sister Gladys Black of Moncton, brother Allison MacMillan of Montreal and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Lloyd, sisters Margaret, Harriet and Muriel.

She was a member of the Windsor United Church and a devoted member of the choir for many years.

Roland "Glen" Stewart

December 10, 1946 - November 12, 2003

Roland Glen Stewart of Okotoks, Alberta passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 after a short courageous battle with brain cancer. Glen passed away quietly surrounded by his family he loved.

He is survived by his best friend and weife of 32 years, Clare (Tremblay), his beloved children Sandy (Terry) Jobs, Erskine, AB, Roland (Nicole), Nanton, AB and Russell (fiancée Sierra Rowan), Okotoks.

Glen was a precious grandfather (Papa) to his four grandchildren, Nadia Jobs, Jayden, Graysin and Jaxson Stewart. Glen is also survived by one brother Harold Stewart and wife Lil of Calgary and a special brother-in-law Michael Tremblay, Dalhousie, NB along with many other extended family members throughout Canada and the U.S. He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Lila Stewart of Brookdale, Manitoba and a nephew Jeffrey Stewart, Calgary.

Mildred Farrer Blaikie

Mrs. Mildred Farrer Blaikie passed away at the Campbellton Nursing Home on December 13, 2003. Born in Upsalquitch on October 31, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Guy William Farrer and the late Margaret Parker. She was the wife of the late Harry Blaikie of Kempt Road Quebec.

She is survived by her brothers Tommy Farrer of Saint John, NB, Bedford Farrer of Campbellton as well several nieces and nephews.

John William (Jack) Beattie

The death of John William Beattie of 120 Saywood Dr., Truro, N.S. occurred at Colchester Regional Hospital, Trro, on Wednesday, November 26, 2003.

Born in Saint John, NB, on July 23, 1930, he was the eldest son of the late William and Helen (Cassady) Beattie.

He served in the Canadian Armed Forces (Army) from 1949 to 1975, followed by employment with the Department of External Affairs working at different posts outside the country. On retirement in 1993, he settled with his family in Truro area spending the summers at their residence in Quebec. He enjoyed many fishing trips with family and friends in northern Ontario. He was a member of Saint James Presbyterian Church, Truro and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro.

He is survived by his wife, Sue (Harvey) and their daughter, Patricia Beattie at home; daughter Sharon (Robert ) Cloutier, Calgary, Alta.; sons Michael (Glenda) and John, Fredericton, NB,; brothers, Douglas and Robert, Toronto, Ont., and Lawrence, Costa Rica.
