Arthur Curtis Dixon
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 13, 2007 at the age of 86, Mr. Arthur Curtis Dixon of Campbellton. Born in Sackville, NB on May 22, 1920, he was the son of the late Garfield Dixon and the late Alice Lund. He retired as a forest engineer with C.I.P. after 35 years of service. Mr. Dixon was a veteran of WWII RCAF 1940-1945.
He leaves to mourn his wife Isabel, his daughters Shelley (David) Wisener of Tide Head and Leslie Dixon of Wolfville, NS, his sons Carman (Madeline) of Fredericton, NB, Michael (Jenny) of Guelph, Ontario and Gregory (Shelli) of Edmonton, Alberta. Also survived by his grandchildren Jonathan, Sheena, Stephanie, Curtis, Jane, Ashley, Gregory, Philip and Sejer.
Predeceased by his brothers Cedric, Carman and Charles.
The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton on Friday March 16th at 2pm. Reverend Kragland officiating.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Charlotte Eva (Hickey) Walton
1914-2007
Passed away in Halifax, N.S. at 92 years and 10 months. Born, April 23, 1914 in Hickey Settlement, N.B. to William C. Hickey III and Emma Carrier.
She was predeceased by her mother in 1919 at 25 and her father in 1960, her stepmother Catherine (LaPointe) Hickey in 1979, eldest brother William IV in 1975 at 63, sister Emma in 2002 at 86, sister Leona in 1917 at 3 months, brother Gordon in 1919 at 15 months, brother Clarence in 1919 at 4 days and brother Oliver in 1982 at 55.
The matriarch of the Hickey and Carrier family, she was the last of her immediate family.
Predeceased are her first husband Eugene Durette of Campbellton, N.B., her second husband Thomas Walton of N.S., her infant son Eugene Durette and her only daughter Francis Durette Waverly.
She is survived by her son William (Bill) Walton and his wife of Fox Harbour, N.S., her son-in-law Bob Waverly of Dartmouth, N.S., sister-in-law Gertie Hickey of Nash Creek, N.B., her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families.
A family historian and great spirit who loved among many interests: world travel, local history and her extended family.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in Nova Scotia with her second husband Tom Walton.
Florian Boudreau
We have been asked to announce the death of Florian Boudreau of Sunnyside who passed away at Bathurst Regional Hospital, Sunday March 11, 2007 at the age of 72. Born in Petit Rocher, he was the son of Adelard Boudreau and Alfreda (Pitre) Boudreau.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, step daughters Rose Marie Chamberlain (Ricky) of Cambridge ON., Patsy Goodine (Herbert) of Montreal, Pauline Carrier (Dan) of Thetford ON., Peggy Levesque (Patrick) of Jacquet River, stepsons Terry (Tara) of Sunnyside, Sherman of Sunnyside and Clayton of Jacquet River. He is also survived by a sister Adrienne Legacy and his 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
His funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church Jacquet River, Thursday March 15 officiated by Father Chamberlain followed by a Legion service. Donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation in memory of Florian would be appreciated by the family. GALLANT, Helen Mary (Kaizer)
Peacefully, at the Campbellton Nursing Home, on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, Helen Mary Gallant (nee Kaizer), aged 87 years. Helen was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish where she was a chorister, lifetime member of the CWL. She was a much loved paediatric and obstetric nurse at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital
Beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph A. Gallant. Loving mother of Tom (Lissa) Gallant (Lunenburg, NS); and Catherine (Michael) Edward (Belfast, PEI). Dear Nanny to Belinda (Jeff) Leichman (Jupiter, Florida), Gethin (Meg) Edward (St Andrews, NB), Cecily (Shaun) Edward-Smith (Pinette, PEI),and Eric (Lisa) Edward (Belfast, PEI). Great-grandmother to Steven & Crispin Edward; Ruby and Joseph Edward-Smith; Isaac Edward.
Predeceased by her parents Parker and Ethel (Feindel) Kaizer; her brothers Leon, Walter and Victor; and sisters Elsie and Bertha.
Resting at Maher's Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, March 17, officiated by Fr. William Arsenault. Pallbearers were Tom Gallant, Michael Edward, Gethin Edward, Eric Edward, Shaun Edward-Smith, David Swan.
Memorials to the Campbellton Nursing Home would be appreciated.

Joyce Lilian Maisey
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 25, 2007 at the age of 81, Mrs. Joyce Lilian Maisey of Campbellton. She was a member of the First United Church, UCW, Senior Citizen Club, Malcolm Ave. and also loved her daily walks and playing cards.
She leaves to mourn her brother Hubert Gordon Maisey of Toronto, her sisters-in-law Marie Maisey, Anita Maisey and Mary Charlong all of Campbellton. Predeceased by her father Hubert Maisey, her mother Sussanah Antle, her sisters Ruby MacKay, Hazel Brown, Dorothy Maisey, Muriel MacFarlane and Mildred Maisey, her brothers Harold Maisey, Beverly (Buster), Lionel (Joe), Douglas, Gerald and Arnold, special niece Florence (Babe) MacFarlane, great niece Christine Munro, nephews Andrew and Harold (Harry) Maisey.
The funeral service was held from First United Church Campbellton on Tuesday February 27th at 2pm. Reverend Genevieve Trudel and Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment at the Rural Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Stephen Maisey, Ryan Maisey, John Maisey, John Gorham, Peter Martin and Bruce Bremner.

Léo Paul LeBlanc
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 12, 2007 at the age of 83, Mr. Léo Paul LeBlanc of Campbellton.
He leaves to mourn his wife Laurette Audit LeBlanc, his sons Roger (Carmel) LeBlanc of Moncton and Gilles LeBlanc from Campbellton, his sisters Isabelle LaPierre and Rita Callahan both of Montreal. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers Hector and Edmond.
The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Snow Church Campbellton on Thursday March 15th at 2pm. Father Morrison officiating.

Leo Sherar
The death of Leo Sherar of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Thursday March 15 at the age of 84. Born in New Carlisle Quebec, he was the son of Wakeham Sherar and Lydia (Grenier) Sherar.
He is survived by 3 daughters Dianna Noel (Joey) of Belledune, Sharon Simpson (Bob) of Scarborough ON, Susan Tierney (Bill) of Scarborough ON, son Wayne (Wendy) of Regina, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Jay and a sister Willa.
A funeral service is to be held at a later date in the spring. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan Funeral Home, Black Point.
Richard (Rick) Legacy
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 12, 2007 at the age of 36, Mr. Rick Legacy of Campbellton, beloved husband of Linda Fitzgerald.
He leaves to mourn his wife Linda, his 3 daughters Eden Ouellette of Malauze, Erica Hartley of Miramichi and Selena Legacy of Campbellton, his mother Yvette Bertin Legacy, his sisters Linda Legacy of Glen Levit and Krystal Legacy of McLeod, his brother Raymond Legacy of Bathurst. Predeceased by his father Ronald Legacy.
The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday March 15th at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Pallbearers were his brother-in-laws John Fitzgerald, Larry Fitzgerald, Denis Fitzgerald, Norman Fitzgerald, Clarence Ferlatte and friend Michel Veilleux.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
