Giles Esliger
With heavy hearts, the family of Giles James Esliger announces his passing at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 7, 2008 at the age of 57.
Born on October 7, 1950 in Archibald Settlement NB, he was one of 9 children born to Theresa Dickie and Norman Esliger.
He is survived by his mother Theresa (Firlotte), daughters Wanda Esliger (Chester LaPointe) of Jacquet River, Holly Esliger (Shawn Lavigne) of Jacquet River and eight siblings, Bob (Peter), Gerald (Roberta), Jan Mallaley (Kirk), Kevin (Muriel), Linda Furlotte, Norma Duplessis (Joe), Vern (Chris) and Paul. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren (Kayla and Jami) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Giles was predeceased by his father Norman and wife Elizabeth Ann (Dickie).
As a reserved, dexterous man, Giles worked at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Hotel Dieu and the Campbellton Regional Hospital for 28 years.
His funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River March 11, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers were Vern Esliger, Kevin Esliger, Paul Esliger, Gerald Esliger, Bob Esliger and Joe Duplessis. Active pallbearers were Chester LaPointe, Shawn Lavigne, Reggie Firlotte, Kirk Mallaley, Thomas Hickey and Hilray LaPointe.

Mabel Jones
In loving memory of Mabel Jones who passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on March 8 at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Victor (Buck) Jones.
She leaves behind to mourn her 6 children---Gerald (Tony), Raymond, Norma, Jeannette, Richard and Linda. Her son Normand (Pete) passed away in Sept. 2000. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, four sisters and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at St. John Baptist church on Thursday morning March 13. She will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Mayer's Funeral Home Dalhousie.
Marie Jeanne Thérèse (Theresa) Butler
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 11, 2008 at the age of 82, Mrs. Marie Jeanne Thérèse (Theresa) Butler. Born in Campbellton on August 31, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Eugène Lavoie and the late Elizabeth Pineault.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Sharon Butler of Campbellton and Ann (Donald) Power of Glen Levit, her son Stephen Butler of Campbellton, her sisters Rose-Marie Lavoie of Atholville, Rosealie (François) Passemard of Montreal, Rose-Anna Lavoie of Montreal, Juliette Bertin of Cambridge, ON and Rita (Robert) Aubut of Campbellton, her brothers Marcel Lavoie of Campbellton, Lionel (Willa) Lavoie, Léo Lavoie of Orilia and Arthur Lavoie of Toronto. Also survived by 2 grandchildren John Butler of Campbellton and Mark Power of Glen Levit. Predeceased by her husband Herman, her son Jimmy Butler and her brother Georges Lavoie.
The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Friday March 14th at 11am. Father William Arsenault officiating.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Mary Lavoie
Mary M. Lavoie of Dalhousie, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday Feb.29, 2008 at the McNair Manor, Riverview.
Born in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late William O'Neill and Mary Norton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mary was an avid bridge player for most of her life and a long time active member and past president of CWL. In her earlier years she excelled in sports, especially basketball and tennis. Following the untimely death of her husband Edouard in 1954, she began a successful career in insurance until her retirement at the age of 65. Mary will be sadly missed by her six children, Camilla MacDougall (James)of Oromocto, Mary Clare Macleod (Wayne) Dalhousie, Anne Mahoney (Leo) of Moncton, Andre (Karen) of Charlottetown, Louis (Ginette) of Petit-Rocher and Paul (Frances) of Riverview. Grandchildren Diane, Sandra, Joanne, Lynn, Kim, Bobby, David, Brian, Cherie, Doug, Edward, Mathieu, Jeff, Mark, Michael, Steven and Claire.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Mary Magdalene in 1941 and granddaughter Colette (1995), brother Lawrence and sisters Ella and Grace.
Funeral Mass in St. John Baptiste Church Dalhousie Tuesday March 4 at 11 o'clock. Funeral arrangement were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
Peggy Lynn Harquail
Passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on March 10, 2008 at the age of 52, Mrs. Peggy Lynn Harquail. Born in Campbellton on January 4, 1956, she was the daughter of the late John (Jack) Crowley and the late Leah Poole. She was a member of the Christ Anglican Church, enjoyed her many hobbies and crafts.
She leaves to mourn her husband John Harquail, her sons Aaron (Isabel Hebert) and Jeremy (Tiffany Bridges), her sister Cathy (Reynald LaPointe), her brothers Dennis (Sandra Lyons), her twin Robert (Pansy Sullivan) and John. Also survived by her granddaughter Kayla Chloe.
The funeral service was held from Christ Anglican Church Campbellton on Friday March 14th at 4pm. Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Pallbearers were Stephan Callaghan, Clermont Savoie, James Michaud and Denis Gregoire.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
William Jr. Arseneault
1957 - 2008
At the Queen Elizabeth II - Infirmary in Halifax on Thursday, March 6, 2008, passed away Mr. William Arseneault at the age of 50, husband of Annette Savoie. He was the son of the late William Arseneault and late Eveline Fontaine.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Annette of Dundee, his daughter Caroline of Dundee, his sisters and brothers: Fernande Mallet (Denis) of Dalhousie, David Arseneault (Suzanne LeBlanc) of Dundee, Marlene Arseneault of Dundee, Bobby Arseneault of Dalhousie and Eileen Arseneault of Balmoral. Also, many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends will sadly miss him.
The funeral was held on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the St-Jean-Marie-Vianney Church, Dundee, and celebrated by Father Regent Landry with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring.
