Jeannine Coulombe

At the St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie on March 27 2004, passed away at the age of 69 after a long battle with cancer, Mrs. Jeannine Coulombe.

Daughter of the late Camille Gauvin and the late Helene Landry. She leaves to mourn, her husband Wallace "Wally", her son Jean Guy (Nicole), Ottawa, as well as her two brothers, Richard (Fredericton) and Georges (Dalhousie). She also leaves behind a few sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be held from St. John Bosco Church on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Culligan officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Emelia Pelletier

The death of Emelia Lavallee Pelletier of 16 Malcom Street Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 15, 2004, at the age of 85.

Born in Balmoral on August 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Trefflee Lavallee and Mathilda Roy. Emelia was an active member of the Notre Dame des Neiges Parish.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Benoit Pelletier, daughters Cecile (Yvon), Edna (Louis) of Dieppe, Monique (Paul-Emile), Murielle (Herve) of Campbellton, sons Emelien (Delisca), Roger (Rose-Alma) of Balmoral, Lucien (Claudette) of Campbellton, Fernand (Viviane) of Havre St. Pierre, Quebec, sister Therese (Alphonse) of Campbellton, Brothers Polidore of Campbellton and Ludger (Cecile) of Matane, Quebec, as well as 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by Andre, Emelien, Michel, Armand, Robert, Ida, Eveline, and grandson Jean-Benoit Roy.

The funeral was held from St. Benoit Church in Balmoral on Thursday, March 18, 2004, with Father Leo Lanteigne officiating. Interment will be in the Balmoral cemetery. Pallbearers were Herve Landry, Yvon Pelletier, Vincent Roy, Jason Pelletier, Mathieu Doucet and Eric Landry.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Beulah Firth

The death of Beulah Jane Firth of Robinsonville occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 8, 2004 at the age of 89.

Born in Robinsonville on October 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Murdock Firth and the late Sarah Demeau. Beulah worked as a custodian at the Robinsonville School for over 30 years and was a member of the St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Robinsonville. In her early years she was an avid gardener and caregiver who loved to sing, play cards and attended church faithfully.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Mary (Cecil) Parker of Robinsonville and Sara (David) Mann of Robinsonville, sons: Beverly (Barb) Firth of Brampton, Ontario and daughter-in-law Dona Firth of Robinsonville. She will also be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandson, as will as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Eugene, two sisters Winnie Firth and Lillian Thompson, and two brothers Elmer Firth and Robert Firth.

The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on March 11, 2004, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser. Hymns sung were "In The Garden", "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Interment will be in Murray Cemetery in Robinsonville.

Pallbearers were Michael Firth, Kelly Firth, Peter Firth, Robbie Firth, Justin Firth and Neale Glidden. Honorary pallbearers were Beverly Firth, Cecil Parker, David Mann, Tyler Glidden, Douglas Murray, Don Harris, Dennis Parker, Kenneth Parker, Fred Parker, Larry McKinnon, Timmy Glidden, Russell Firth, Glen Murray and Dave Ferrier.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Georgette Savoie

The death of Georgette Savoie of 421 Well St., Dalhousie, occurred at her residence on March 25, 2004, at the age of 64.

Born in Dalhousie on September 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Leandre Savoie and the late Leonile Melanson.

She is survived by her brother Vernon (Pascale) of Montreal, Quebec, nephew Paul and niece Louise Clark. The funeral was held on March 29, 2004, at Saint John Bosco Church in Dalhousie with Culligan officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Albert Fallu

The death of Albert Fallu of 99 St. Louis St. Atholville, NB. occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 24, 2004, at the age of 83.

Born in Campbellton on June 22, 1920, he was the son of the late William Fallu and the late Agnes Lurette. Albert was retired, but still active with the Golden Age Club, the snowmobile club, as well as an active bowler. He was also a veteran of World War II.

He will be sadly missed by his common-law wife Antionette Doucet, daughters Docile (Clifford) Landry, Adeline (Antonio) Doiron and Therese Fallu (Gerard Jean), sons: Delphez Fallu (Nicole Theriault), Gerard (Monique) Fallu, Cleo (Dianne) Fallu, Ronald (Helene) Fallu, Etiemme (Lise) Fallu, sisters: Rita (Polydore) Maltais, Agnes (John) Ouelette, Helene (George) Gaudet and Eltta (Gerard) Robichaud, brothers: Delphis (Marcelline) Fallu and Denis (Cecil) Fallu. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nadine, Marion, Annie, Eric, Luc, Daniel, Isabelle and Gabrielle as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by Victoria (Donat) Levesque and Pricilla (Armand) LeTourneau.

The funeral was held from Notre Dame de Lourde Church on Friday March 26, 2004, with Father Morrison officiating. Pallbearers were Mario Fallu, Marcel Doucet, Gerard Fallu, Delphez Fallu, Ronald Fallu and Omer Doucet.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Opal Parent

The death of Opal F. Parent of 333 Goderich St. Dalhousie, occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital on March 25, 2004, at the age of 92.

Born in Charlo on September 23, 1911, she was the daughter of the late James Thompson and the late Margaret Gallen. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Alice of Dalhousie, Yvonne of Dalhousie, and Catherine (MikeCote) of Ohio, sons Lloyd (Theresa Regan) of Dalhousie, Walter (Jean Dumville) of Blackland and Leonard (Beverly Jamael) of Dalhousie. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Parent.

The funeral service was held from St. John Bosco Church on Saturday, March 27, 2004, with Rev. Gregory Culligan officiating. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Kenneth Downs

The death of Kenneth Duncan Downs of Campbellton, offccurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 18, 2004, at the age of 89.

Born in Campbellton on July 29, 1914, he was the son of the late Duncan Downs and the late Emily McNaughton. Kenneth was employed as a Railway Carman with CNR for 50 years. He was also a past member of the North Star of I.O.O.F., member of the CNR Pensioners' Association and an avid horseman.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Ramona Bolton Downs of Campbellton, sons: Donald (Susan) Downs of Campbellton, David (Heather) of Campbellton, Michael (Laurel) Downs ofEdmonton, Alberta, Shawn (Catherine) Downs of Quispamsis, NB, grandkids Lesley, Jock, Nicholas, Morgan, Alexa, Kieran, Liam and Lindsay, nieces: Anne Harling, Marley McPeake and Sara Joseph and nephew Henry Joseph.

He was predeceased by his sisters Leila, Della, Muriel and Wanda.

The funeral was held from First United Church, Campbellton on Monday March 22, 2004, officiated Rev. R. Kraglund. Readings were offered by granddaughters Alexa, Morgan, Rebecca and Lesley Downs, daughter-in-law Heather Downs and son Michael. Interment will be in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Harling, Allen Benwell, Rick Gray, Brian Bujold, Georges Dufour and Rodney Gray. Honourary pallbearers were Clayton Allison, Frank Brooks, Harold Casey, Lorne Gray, David Hachey, Lorne LeFurgey, Glen MacKenzie, Harold Pritchard, Bill Bolton, Bill Bulmer, John Goode, Gordon Hachey, Graydon Irvine, Roland Lortie, John Nolan and Bill Stewart.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Hugh Fraser

The death of Hugh Shirley (Shrimp) Fraser of 9 Gerrard St., Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday March 19, 2004, at the age of 82.

Born in Campbellton on June 26, 1921, he was the son of the late Stanley Fraser and the late Margaret Mann. Hugh was employed with the City of Campbellton for 44 years. He was also a member of the First United Church in Campbellton. He would best be remembered for his many years of service to the minor hockey association as a coach, manager, mentor and friend.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Geraldine (McNaughton) Fraser, daughters Sharon (Owen) Jelly of Campbellton,and Nancy Fraser of Coombs, British Colombia. He also leaves to mourn his brother Ian (Sonny) Fraser and family of Kingston Ontario, grandchildren Shannon, Lindsay and Annie Jelly of Campbellton, Darren and Katie Terhune of Coombs, B.C. amd A,u Fraser pf Repentigny, Qc., as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, son Stephen, brother William (Bud), and sisters Margaret, Elizabeth (Betty) and Dorayne.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday March 23, 2004, with Olive Ann Archibald, LPM officiating. Interment will be in the rural cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Campbellton.

Delima Aubie

Aubie: Delima Rose on March 24, 2004, at Oakwood Park Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ontario at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by husband Stanley (1976). Funeral mass to celebrate Mrs. Aubie's life took place on March 26, 2004, in St. Thomas More Church Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed in Lundy's Lane Cemetey, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Gertrude McLaughlin

The death of Gertrude McLaughlin of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 23, 2004.

Born in Campbellton on August 15, 1917, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Bradley . Gertrude worked as a registered nurse and was a member of the Catholic Women's League.

She is survived by her sons: Pat of Campbellton and John (Frances) of Oakville, Ontario, grandchildren: George McLaughlin (Natalie), Sarag McLaughlin and Lisa McLaughlin and great grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas McLaughlin. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Gorden and son George.

Funeral was held in St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on Monday March 29, 2004, with Father Culligan officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care jof Maher's Funeral Home, Dignity memorial, Dalhousie.

Tammy (Thomas) Drapeau

Tammy passed away on Sunday March 7 after a brave battle with cancer. Her loving heart was constantly with her son Nicholas. She was comforted by her loving companion, Raymond Durette and sister, Kimberly Thomas.

Her death occurred one day after being admitted to hospital in Lethbridge, Alta. Born February 17, 1964, she was predeceased by her parents Vernon and Fern Thomas and a sister Jacqueline Thomas. Prior to living in Alberta she lived in Campbellton.

Tammy's love of God was great and her home reflected Faith in every room. She gave me, her sister, this verse and I an honored to share it with you.

A memorial service will be held later in the spring. Cremation was performed by Christensen Salmon Funeral Home & Crematorium, Lethbridge, Alberta.
