Kathryn Marion Bremner (nee Button)

Kathryn Marion Bremner of Dalhousie Junction passed away peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday, March 24th at the age of 69. Born in Dalhousie on April 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy (Hounsel) Button.

Beloved wife of Bruce Bremner, she will be sadly missed by her children Scott (Marlene) and Robbie (Vicky) of Dalhousie Junction, grandchildren Samantha, Matthew, and Carter, who were her pride and joy, brothers Clark (Carol) and Ronald (Doris) Button of Dalhousie, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Priscilla Neufeld, Dorothy (Dottie) MacDonald, Christina (Tiny) Babin and brother, William (Bill) Button.

Funeral services were held from the First United Church, Campbellton, on March 27, 2006 at 2 p.m. Arrangements in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Mina G. Irvine

Of Mann's Mountain, NB, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Friday, March 24th at the age of 51. Born in Campbellton on February 19, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Verna Law and the late Harvey Murray.

She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Jarvis Irvine; her children Jodie Irvine of Moncton and Jamie (Angie) Irvine of Campbellton; her sister, Ava (Ron) Court of Tide Head, her brothers, Franky (Judy) Murray and Kevin (Carmen) Murray both of Tide Head. Also surviving is 1 granddaughter, Britney and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held from the St. Anthony's in Glen Levit on March 27, 2006 at 11a.m with Father William Arseneau officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Joseph Ferdinand "Honey" Servant

The death of Joseph Ferdinand "Honey" Servant, resident of Beresford, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 19, 2006, at the age of 57.

Born in Campbellton on August 28, 1948, he was the son of the late Ferdinand "TB" Servant and the late Mary Duguay.

He is survived by his loving wife June Garvis, his daughters Wendy Servant and Rhealee Servant (Stephane), his son Sebastien (Mary Ann), by 8 grandchildren, one stepdaughter Audra and one stepson Ricky. The funeral was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 24, 2006, officiated by Father Bill Arseneau. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Léandre (Leo) LeBlanc

Léandre (Leo) LeBlanc passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2006, at the Veteran's Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 84.

He leaves to mourn his wife Rita (Boudreau) LeBlanc, a son Jacques (Linda) of Ottawa, Ont., a daughter Carole (Thomas) Murtagh of Windsor, Ont., and two grandsons Thomas Murtagh Jr. and Matthew LeBlanc.

He also leaves behind his brothers Laurie, Craig, Aurele, Peter, Eugene, and one sister Doris (Jean Paul) Allard and Georges who predeceased him.

Léandre, an ardent sport fisherman and hunter, always enjoyed the outdoors. A Hong Kong Veteran, Leo was a long time member of the Campbellton Curling Club, Restigouche Golf & Country Club, Knights of Colmbus, Canadian Legion, and Atholville Senior Citizens Club.

He had retired as manager of the NB Liquor Commission store in Campbellton in 1981. The family plans to hold a chapel ceremony to celebrate Leo's life in the spring.

Marie Edna Landry

Marie Edna Landry passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 17, 2006 at the age of 84. Mrs. Landry resided in Dalhousie.

Born in Shippagan, NB on February 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Haché and the late Emma Landry.

She is survived by her daughter Anne Marie Savoie (Ronald LeClair), Dundee, her son Marc André Landry, Dalhousie, her sister Mme Alfreda Chiasson, Dalhousie, her brother Camillien Haché, Shippagan, her grandchildren Jean Guy Savoie (Lise Durette), Roberval Lac St. Jean, QC, Rhéal Savoie (Natacha), Eel River Crossing, Nicole Landry, Dalhousie and by her great grandchildren Shawn, Haley and Danick.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur A. Landry, one brother Aurel and by two sisters Leonie and Rose. The funeral was held in the St. John Baptist Church, Dalhousie on March 25, 2006, officiated by Father Doiron. Spring burial to take place at the St. John Baptist Parish Cemetery, Dalhousie. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Robert "Snap" Dickie
1911 - 2006

The passing of Robert Dickie occurred at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on March 22, 2006 at the age of 94 surrounded by his family. Born in Campbellton on August 07, 1911, he is the son of the late Thomas and Effie (Nevin) Dickie.

He left Campbellton in 1932 and was employed at the Fraser Co. Ltd. in Edmundston until his retirement in 1975. While in Edmundston, he organized the "Snap Dickie Minor Hockey League" and coached hundreds of boys from the age of 6 to High school. He was elected to the Edmundston Sports Hall of Fame in 1972 and was a member of the Edmundston Golf and Curling Clubs as well as a life member of the Pulp and Paper Association.

He is survived by two sons George (Patricia), Riverview, NB and Robert for New Glasgow, NS; one sister Mary Tasman from Montreal; one brother Jim (Meg) from Ottawa; three granddaughters, 6 grandsons, 6 great granddaughters and two great grandsons, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Jean (MacNutt) in 1977, and his daughter Helen (Bobbie) MacCombe on November 7, 2005. He was also predeceased by three brothers John, Alec and Bill; by four sisters Ethel Adams, Bertha Smith, Laura Dawson and Jean Gay.

The funeral service will be held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Dalhousie, on Friday, March 24, 2006. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Thomas Irvine Riley

Passed away peacefully, Friday, March 24th, at the age of 90 years, in his home surrounded by his family. Tom, Born September 6, 1915 in Saint John, N.B. was the son of James N. and Beatrice Irvine Riley.

Tom served his country in RCAF during WWII Honorably discharged in 1945 holding the rank of Sergeant.

Tom spent his life in the dairy business. After graduating from the Agricultural College in Guelph, Ont. He worked in Moncton, N.B. with a dairy supply company, and in Campbellton, N.B. as General Manager of Grey's Velvet Ice Cream until moving to Dartmouth in 1964 to be General Manager of Woodlawn Dairy. In 1969 he became Manager of the Milk Division of Twin Cities Dairy (now Farmers Dairy). He resigned from Farmers in 1975 into semi-retirement. He came out of retirement to set up and become Production Manager of Baxter's Dairy in Darthmouth. He retired again in 1980 to travel. He and Mary spent many happy years on the roads of Canada and the U.S. with their Airstream trailer, then spent a numbers of winters in Florida until Mary could not travel due to illness.

Tom joined to Rotary Club in 1953 in Campbellton, N.B. and they moved to Dartmouth Rotary Club in 1964 where he has been a member since. He served as President from 1978-1979. During Tom's time in Campbellton he was involved in a number of organizations, he was President of the Board of Trade, member of the board of the Soldier's Memorial Hospital; director of the New Brunswick T.B. Association and Worthy Patron of Lady Alexander Chapter No. 24, O.E.S. Tom was also a 50 year, 33rd deg. Member of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Halifax. Tom was a long standing member of Fairview United Church.

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Mary Louise (Barnes) Riley, a sister, Constance Marion (in childhood) and his parents.

Tom leaves behind a son, Douglas and wife Donna of Halifax, daughter Elizabeth Bignell of South Carolina, grandchildren, Andrew Bignell of Dartmouth, Christine Riley and Thomas Riley of Halifax, and a sister Dorothy Kingette of Rothesay, N.B. as well as extended family and many friends.

The family wishes to thank Roz Benoit, nurse practioner of the General Medicine Heart Failure Clinic, for her living and attentive care of Papa over these last 6 years.

Visitation will be 7-9pm Monday and Tuesday in the J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St, Halifax. Funeral service will be 2pm on Wednesday March 29, 2006 in Fairview United Church, Dutch village rd, Halifax, Rev. Heather Hemming officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
