Auley M. Cooling

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 17, 2007 at the age of 79, Mr. Auley M. Cooling of Dawsonville. He leaves to mourn his wife Helen, one daughter Ruth (Marvin) Boudreau of Glencoe, NB, two sons Murray (Helen) Cooling of Sackville, NB and Garfield (Belinda) Cooling of Toronto, ON, four sisters Faye Mann of Moncton, Eilleen Allan of Moncton, Maxine Firth of Dawsonville and Lillian Thompson of Dawsonville, five brothers Malcom, Reggie, Ronnie, Harry and Robert. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his father James Cooling, his mother Gertrude Thompson, brothers Ralph, William, Frederick and Sterling and 1 sister Betty. The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday March 20th at 2pm. Reverend Godsoe officiating. Interment at the Dawsonville Cemetery in the spring. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Clyde Manning Edwards
1959 - 2006

The death of Clyde Manning Edwards, age 47, of Dalhousie Junction occurred on the morning of June 27th, 2006 in a truck- Armour Transport collision at Dalhousie Junction due to poor road conditions.

Born in the Soldier's Memorial Hospital in Campbellton on May 23rd, 1959, Clyde was the eldest son of Burgess and Ellen May (Mitton) Edwards.

Clyde was educated first in the community's two room school and then in the L.E. Reinsborough and Dalhousie Regional High Schools in 1978.

He continued his education at U.N.B. studying his great passion, computers. He graduated in 1984 with a degree of Bachelor of Science-Computer Science.

He worked for a number of years in Toronto before returning home due to health reasons. More recently he worked as a supply teacher at D.R.H.S.

Clyde leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Burgess and Ellen Edwards, his brother, Mark, Dalhousie Jct., his sister, Nancy, Hamilton, ON., his maternal grand-mother, Bertha Mitton, Dalhousie Jct, aunt Gwen and uncle Gordon Flann, aunt Ella Saba, aunt Elayne Hicks and aunt Orpah Edwards Uncle Jack (Joyce) Mitton of Hamilton, Ont., uncle Delbert (Barbara) Mitton of Ancaster, Ont., aunt Gay Matheson of Dartmouth, N.S., and many cousins.

Clyde was predeceased by his maternal grand-father, Manning Mitton, Matapedia, QC, his paternal grand-parents, Ruby and Clyde Edwards, Dalhousie Jct., by his uncle Arthur "Bud", aunt Edith Edwards, his uncle William "Bill" Edwards, all of Dalhousie Jct., his uncle Salem Saba, Lachine, QC, cousins Robin Flann, Sheila and David Edwards and Burton Matheson of Dartmouth, N.S. The funeral was held from St. John's United Church, Dalhousie on July 1st, conducted by the minister Rev. Roland Hutchinson. The organist was Mrs. Jean MacInnis.

The scripture readings were taken from Proverbs 4:4-27, the 23rd Psalm, and Matthew 15:21, 23, 25.

Hymns sung were "Abide With Me", "All Things Bright and Beautiful", "Will Your Anchor Hold". The choir sang "In the Garden".

A eulogy was prepared and eloquently delivered by boyhood friend, Danny MacLean of Plaster Rock. The pallbearers were cousins, Todd and Peter Hicks, Aubrey and Terry Edwards and long time friends Lorin Eddy and Richard Chiasson.

Following the service, a reception was held in the church hall for family and friends with refreshments served by the women of the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's United Church, Dalhousie, The Schriner's or a charity of the donor's choice.

Interment was in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Gérald Ferlotte
1931-2007

Passed away at the Laval Hospital, Quebec, on February 21, 2007, at the age of 75 years and 4 months, Mr. Gérald Ferlotte, officer of the 22nd Regiment, veteran of the Korean War and husband of Irma Savard. Originally from Dalhousie, N.B., he resided in a small community in Quebec near Beauport.

He leaves to mourn his wife Irma, his children: Danièle (Jean Picard), Joyce (Richard Goulet), Steve (Joann Deneault), Mark (Marie-Claude Rousseau), Gary, Élyzabeth (David Turcotte); his grandchildren: Jean-Michel, Guillaume, Phillippe (his godson), Mathieu; his brother and sisters: Helen (Gerry Mills), Lynda (Michelle Gillard), Donald (Margaret Noye), Kristine, John Richard (late Mona); his aunt Armande Fournier, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Savard family: Gaston (Laurette Cliche), Colette, Pierre (late Françoise Boily), Mariette Maheu (late Benoît), as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral arrangements were held on February 26, 2007, in La Nativité de Notre Dame Church. Funeral arrangements were in the care of La Seigneurie Coopérative Funéraire, Quebec.

Geralline "Zoon" Roy

Bathurst - Mrs. Geralline "Zoon" Roy, 69, wife of Maurice W. "Munn" Roy, of Vincent St., Bathurst, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday (March 18, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Val D'Amour, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Donia (LeBlanc) Johnson. She worked for the gift shop at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, until her retirement. Besides her husband, she is survived by: one daughter: Carol White (John) of Rose Hill, NB, one son: Gilles Roy (Darlene) of Moncton, two sisters: Gerry Gilbert of Campbellton, NB and Shirley William (Lindy) of Dalhousie, NB, one grandson; Niko, several nieces and nephews. There was no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. For those wishing to send expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.

Linda Lou Vicaire

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 20, 2007 at the age of 62, Mrs. Linda Vicaire.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Laura Lee Vicaire (Jeremy Johnson) son-in-law, her sons Dean Allen Vicaire (Chastity Mitchell) future daughter-in-law and Steven Vicaire, her sisters Elizabeth Ouellette, Serena Murphy and Jennie Vicaire, her brothers Gerald Vicaire, Roland Vicaire and Walter Vicaire. Also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Mitchell, Mallory Isaac and Hutch Vicaire, her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father George Vicaire, mother Mary Isaac, brothers David and Patrick Vicaire, sisters Nora, Sarah and Margaret Vicaire.

The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne's Church Listuguj on Thursday March 22nd at 3 pm.

Father Landry officiating. Pallbearers were Ricky Condo, Forrest Condo, Darrel Isaac, Jeremy Metallic, Lance Mitchell and Gerry Martin.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Yvette McGraw

Passed away at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton on March 5, 2007 at the age of of 88, Yvette McGraw née Allard of the Manoir Notre Dame Moncton and formerly of Campbellton. Survived by one daughter Connie McGraw of Dieppe, 3 sisters: Alfreda Sawyer Brantford On, Viola (Richard) Gallant St. Alexis PQ, Marcelle (Jim) Stone Tide Head, 1 brother Leonard (Marcelle) Allard Campbellton.

Predeceased by her parents Alfred Allard and Lea Bienvenue, one brother Viateur. Born in Campbellton on June 15, 1918, she was a nurse in Campbellton.

Funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Snows Church Campbellton Thursday March 8th at 2 o'clock with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Leo Sherar

The death of Leo Sherar of Dalhousie occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Thursday March 15 at the age of 84. Born in New Carlisle Quebec, he was the son of Wakeham Sherar and Lydia (Grenier) Sherar.

He is survived by 3 daughters Dianna Noel (Joey) of Belledune, Sharon Simpson (Bob) of Scarborough ON, Susan Tierney (Bill) of Scarborough ON, son Wayne (Wendy) of Regina, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Jay and a sister Willa.

A funeral service is to be held at a later date in the spring. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan Funeral Home, Black Point.

Richard (Rick) Legacy

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 12, 2007 at the age of 36, Mr. Rick Legacy of Campbellton, beloved husband of Linda Fitzgerald.

He leaves to mourn his wife Linda, his 3 daughters Eden Ouellette of Malauze, Erica Hartley of Miramichi and Selena Legacy of Campbellton, his mother Yvette Bertin Legacy, his sisters Linda Legacy of Glen Levit and Krystal Legacy of McLeod, his brother Raymond Legacy of Bathurst. Predeceased by his father Ronald Legacy.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday March 15th at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Pallbearers were his brother-in-laws John Fitzgerald, Larry Fitzgerald, Denis Fitzgerald, Norman Fitzgerald, Clarence Ferlatte and friend Michel Veilleux.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
