Esther Lavallée
The death of Esther Lavallée of Campbellton occurred at her residence on April 6, 2005, at the age of 66.
Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Marie Alma Levesque and the late Joseph Richard Parker.
Esther was employed as a factory worker for 30 years. She was also a member of Our Lady of Snows Church, St Thomas Aquinas Church, and the Campbellton Senior Citizen Club.
Surviving her are her daughter Ann Plews of King City, Ont.; her son Steven Lavallée of Campbellton; her brothers and sisters: Eldon (Rena) Parker, Eileen (Regie) Law, Georgette Doiron, Georgina Levesque, George (Bertha) Parker, all of Campbellton, Clarence (Leona) Parker of Moncton, Mike (Jackie) Parker of Cornwall, Ont., Maurice (Anne) Parker of Campbellton, Shirley (Ivan) Bois of Windsor, Ont., and Dorothy (Nick) Tornosky of Orilla, Ont.
Predeceasing her were her parents Marie and Joseph and her husband Richard "Dick" Gillivet.
Alphonse Diotte
The death of Alphonse Diotte occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 4, 2005, at the age of 70.
Born on March 11, 1935, he was the son of Alex (Sandy) Diotte and Annie LaPointe.
Surviving him are his two sons George (Sharon) Diotte and Leo (Emily) Diotte, three daughters Julie Diotte, Rachael(Robert) Diotte and Georgina (Marc) Diotte, two brothers Alex (Annie) Diotte and Gerald Diotte, three sisters Catherine (Diotte) Bujold, Opal (Diotte) Loubert and Jeannette (Diotte) Geraldo. Also surviving her are seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Predeceasing her were her parents Alex and Annie and her daughter Anne Diotte.
Charlotte Mae Touchie
The death of Charlotte Mae Touchie, resident of 101 Dover St., Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 76.
Born in Campbellton on January 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Roy Parlee and the late Violet Barnes. Charlotte worked for many years as a telephone operator.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Brenda (Roger) McNabb of Fredericton, N.B. and Heather (Doug) Allen of Thornton, Ont.; son Edward (Barb) Touchie of Moncton, sisters Joyce McRae of Middleton, N.S., Shirley (Fred) Wry of Moncton, N.B. Betty Sheetman of Lincoln, NB and Torry Farquhar of King City, Ont.; brothers Robert (Juanita) Parlee of Campbellton and Buddy Parlee of Moncton. Also surviving are grandchildren Scott (Denise) and Steven McNabb, Jason (Sara) and Jonathan (Joanne) Touchie, Amanda (Rick Greenside) and Sheila (Chris) Allen, and one granddaughter Bella Lauren Greenside.
Predeceasing her were her parents Roy and Violet and husband Lloyd Touchie.
Joseph (Joe) Fenz
With his family at his side at the South St., Campus of London Health Science Center on Tuesday, March 10, 2005, pased away Joseph H. (Joe) Fenz, age 65 years, of St Marys. Loving father of Sue Hicks and Steve of Blanshard Ward, Rick Fenz and Heather Gladwin of St. Marys, Steve Fenz and Tracey of Blanshard Ward. Proud grandfather of Jordan, Cassandra, Jesse, Kory and Kelsee. Dear brother of Vincent Fenz and Bonnie of Langley, BC Shirley Allard and Hector of Dalhousie. Dear companion of Penny Pettinger of St Marys.
Josephine Lapointe
The death of Josephine Lapointe of Jacquet River, wife of Wade Lapointe, occurred accidentally on March 30, 2005, in Bathurst at the age of 57.
Born in Gravelhill, she was the daughter of the late Delphis Lapointe and Theresa Degrechie.
Surviving her are her husband Wade, her mother Theresa, two sons Joshua Lapointe and Jeffrey Bento-Carrier (Delise) of Balmoral and brothers Delphis Jr., of Jacquet River, Lloyd (Cora) of New Mills, sisters Valarie Carrier (Randy) of Gravelhill, Shirley Lapointe (Donnie) of Lorne, Sally Meade (Donnie) of Jacquet River, and Susan Lapointe (Gerry) of Bathurst.
Predeceasing her was her father Delphis.
Mary Olive Casey
The death of Mary Olive Casey, resident of 434 Adelaide St., Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 4, 2005, at the age of 70.
Born in Charlo, she was the daughter of the late Joseph aRthur Casey and the late Mildred Landry. Mary worked in the housekeeping department at the hospital and nursing home.
Surviving her are her sisters Bertha Norton of Smither, BC., Eileen Laliberte of Sarnia, Ont., Shirley LeBlanc of Dalhousie, Mary Lou (Gary) Good of Dalhousie and Rita Horvitoch of Sarnia, Ont.; brothers Arthur (Annette) Casey of Balmoral, Clifford (Venola) Casey of Dalhousie and Ambrose (Gloria) Casey of Dalhousie as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing her were her parents Joseph and Mildren, sister Edith, and brothers George, Walter, Leo and Gerald.
Mary Geraldine (Cline) Pettigrew
The death of Mary Geraldine (Cline) Pettigrew of New Mills, NB., occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 25, 2005, at the age of 75.
Geraldine was born in Benjamin River, on May 21, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Murray Silas Cline and Mary Stella Murchie.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ellis (Bob) Pettigrew, daughters Maxine (Alex) Craig of Sea Side, Ellison Dawn (Michel) Aube, of Rothesay, son, Dale (Myrna) Pettigrew of Sea Side, two grandchildren, Jesse and Chelsea Pettigrew, sister, Daisy (Earl) Walker, of Black Point and brother, Murray (Patricia) Cline of Dalhousie and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Geraldine was a life long member of the Catholic Women's Club of Our Lady of the Visitation Church serving many years as Secretary and President. She was also a member of the Church choir and served on other church related committees. During her lifetime Geraldine was a teacher, hairdresser and businesswoman. She was a great lover of local history and folklore, music and homemade crafts and will be greatly missed by her "Friday Night" music friends and "quilting partners".
