Roger Noël
Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday March 22, 2009 at the age of 68, Mr. Roger Noël, son of the late Edmond Noël and the late Cecilia Duguay. He leaves to mourn his wife Marlene Noël, three sons Serge (Dawn Beckingham) from Dalhousie, Michel (Alana Peterson) from Dalhousie and André (Julie Turcotte) from Magog, QC, five grandchildren Emilie, Sophie, Gabriel, Sebastien and Anaïs, two brothers Wilfred from Dalhousie and Jean Eude from Montreal, two sisters Winnifred from Dalhousie and Simone from Pointe Goulette, as well as nieces and nephews. In memory of Roger, donations can be made to the Palliative care unit of the St. Joseph Health Centre in Dalhousie. The funeral mass was held from St. John Bosco Church Dalhousie on Thursday March 26th at 11am. Father William Arseneault officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery this spring. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
Margaret Eva (Miller) Ross
Passed away peacefully at the Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 17, 2009 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Ernest in 1979, her parents Robert Miller and Janet Archibald, and her sister Vesta in 1999. Survived by her daughter Janette (Bruce) Dunphy, Charles (Vera) and Walter (Louise) Ross and their children Ellen (Mike) Perkins and Ernest Dunphy, Charles (Judy) Ross and Karen (Mike) Bolger, Peter (Jenny), Robert (Nicoleta) and Jason (Heather) Ross. Great grand children Jacob and Grace Perkins, Zachary and Dylan Ross, and Sarah, Alexander and Michael Ross, and Corina and David Ross. Step grand children Matthew, Shaniah and Marissa Bolger. After Graduating from Normal School, Fredericton and teaching for several years Eva and Ernest married in 1934 and settled at her parents home at River Louison until 1953 when the family moved to Fredericton. Grave side service at the New Mills Cemetery planned for May 10, 2009. Arrangements by MacMillans Funeral Services - Black Point NB.
Mathias LePage
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mathias LePage on March 26, 2009, at the age of 80 years. Matty was born in Charlo where he lived all his life. He is survived by his wife Theresa; his daughters Diane (Elmer), Carolyn, Elaine (Robert), Jane (Jacques); his sons Michel (Donna) and Gilles (Carole); eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Laura, Rollande, and Anita; and two brothers Louis and Hector (his identical twin). Matty was predeceased by his parents Donat and Emma and by his daughter Nancy (Mark). The funeral service was held from St. Francis Xavier Church Charlo on Monday March 30th at 11am. Father Réjean Landry officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery this spring. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.
Ernestine (Teeny) Carrier
The death of Teeny Carrier of Lorne occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Saturday March 14, 2009 at the age of 61. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Mallaley and the late Evangeline (LaPointe). She is survived by her husband Donald, Brothers; Evans (Cindy) of Lorne, Angus (Edna) of Lorne, Allen (Connie) of Lorne, Andrew (Roselyn) of Lorne, sisters; Anna Lavigne (Alex) of Lorne, Jacqueline Dempsey (Norman) of Lorne, and Darlene LaPointe (Ronnie Godin) of Gravelhill. She was also survived by 57 Neices and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Ralph and Ernest as well as her sisters Cecile and Sylvia. Her funeral was held from St. Maria Goretti Church, Lorne, Saturday March 21, 2009 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Elseleita "Elsie" Harris
Bathurst - Mrs. Elseleita "Elsie" Harris, 89, of Palmer Dr. and formerly of Upsalquitch, NB, passed away on Monday (March 23, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Dawsonville, Restigouche Co., NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Nina (Mann) Main. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Austin Harris. She is survived by two daughters, Grace Main (Boyd Moores) of Upsalquitch, NB and Betty Dumeresq of Bathurst; three brothers, Billy (Debbie) of Sterling, ON, Melville (Sue) and Delbert (Sandra), both of Dalhousie; four sisters, Edith Murray of Upselquitch, NB, Helena Savoie (Aurele) of Dalhousie, Leata Hutson of Calgary, AB, Mona Regan (John) of Port Williams, NS; daughter-in-law Linda Major (Art) of Surrey, BC; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Blair; daughter Verna, two brothers, Milton and Eric. The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service was held on Thursday (March 26, 2009) at 1 pm from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Elsie may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
