Andrew Yvon Ouellette
1986 - 2006

At his residence on March 23, 2006, passed away at the age of 19, Andrew Yvon Ouellette. Born in Campbellton on May 8, 1986, he is the son of Jocelyn Thomas of Dalhousie and Yvon Ouellette of Campbellton.

A funeral service was held at the First United Church, Campbellton, on March 27 at 11am. Reverend Genevieve Trudel officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

BERTIN, Mary Evangeline (nee Lapointe)

Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Wednesday March 29th, 2006 in her 83rd year.

Beloved wife of the late David Bertin. Loving mother of David (Mary), Anita (James), Albena (George), Edith (Doug), Linda (Jim), Judy (Pete), Tony (Michele), Betty (Brian), Brenda (John) and the late John and Claude. Dear grandmother of 27 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pre-deceased by 21 brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Michael's Church on Saturday April 1st at 10 am. Cremation with interment in Colborne Union Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Hospital for Sick Children. Condolences received at

Helen Wafer
1912-2006

Mary Helen "Lily" Wafer passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at the age of 93. A daughter of James Calvert and Mary Jane Parker, Lily was born and grew up in Nouvelle, Quebec. She married George Wafer of Fleurant Point in 1932. They settled on the western part of the Wafer family farm in Fleurant, where they enjoyed a peaceful life among family and good neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband in 1979. Lily moved to Dalhousie in 1985, where she lived for fifteen years with her daughter and family.

She leaves to mourn sister Margaret Calvert of Campbellton, daughter Mabel and her husband Valmont Babin of Dalhousie; grandchildren Anne of Blackland, Peter (Suzanne) and Michael (Belinda) of Dalhousie, Krista (Bruce Turner) of Ottawa, and Steven of Dalhousie; great-grandchildren Jillian, Jessie, Scott, Isabelle, William, and Jennifer and many nieces and nephews.

Lily was also predeceased by her parents; brothers Robert, William, George, Wallace and sisters Flora, Lena and Mary.

For the past four years Lily lived at the nursing home in Dalhousie where she made friends, was always ready for a joke, and acquired a new nickname, "Cookie". Her family wishes to acknowledge the respect, quality of care, and affection given to her - it will always be remembered and appreciated.

A funeral service was held Saturday April 8 at St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie, with father William Arseneault as celebrant. Arrangements were in care of Maher's Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.
