George Hale Brown
1936 - 2007
George Hale Brown, beloved husband of Doris Brown, of Airdrie, A.B., passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the age of 70 years.
George was born September 19, 1936 in New Castle, New Brunswick. He married Doris Yarish and they worked and resided in New Brunswick for twenty-five years before retiring to Airdrie to be closer to family. George enjoyed traveling but his passion was the outdoors. His great sense of humor touched anyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Besides Doris, his loving wife of fifty years, George is survived by his children Lori (Claude), Susan (Mark), Ken (Phyllis), Cindy (Glenn) and Rick (Genny); thirteen grandchildren, Eric, Karen, Kristen, Nikki, Jennifer, Melissa, Sara-Jane, Ashley, Katie, Jacquie, Stephanie, Christopher and Rachel; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Jamilyn, Lydia and Kyle and his sister Marie (Willis) Murphy of Campbellton, N.B. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Evelyn Brown and grandchildren Michael and Matthew.

Funeral Service was held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, on March 16, 2007. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association. In living memory of George Brown, a tree will be planted at Fletcher Park Memorial.
Sheila Metallic
Passed away at the Bathurst Regional Hospital on April 3, 2007 at the age of 50, Mary Ann Sheila Metallic of Listuguj.
Born in Campbellton on January 29, 1957, she was the daughter of Robert Metallic and the late Benedicta Morrison. She was employed as a ranger dispatcher for a period of 6 years. She was a member of the Ste Anne's Church Choir, President of the Quebec Native Women, Vice-President for a period of 10 years, held a certificate as a pastry chef and like bowling.
She leaves to mourn her companion Gerald Vicaire of Listuguj, her father Robert Metallic of Listuguj, her son Jeremy (Anna) Metallic of Listuguj, her sisters Bernadette (Terry) Isaac of Listuguj, Elizabeth (Stewart) Stacey of Kanahwake QC, Mary-Blanche Metallic, Carol (Terence) Metallic of Timiskaming QC and Valerie Metallic of Listuguj, her brothers Raymond Metallic, Ronald Metallic and Adrien Metallic of Listuguj. Also survived by her grandson Evan Metallic, granddaughter Irelynd Smith-Metallic, many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
Predeceased by her brother Robert Metallic Jr. and her mother Benedicta Morrison Metallic.
The funeral mass was held from Ste Anne's Church Listuguj on Monday April 9th at 3pm. Father Landry officiating. Pallbearers were Ricky Condo, Dean Vicaire, Jerry Martin, Terry Isaac Jr., Sherman Isaac, Jamie Stacey and Jessie Doiron. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Gertrude Guitard
The death of Gertrude Guitard of Jacquet River occurred at Campbellton Regional Hospital April 01, 2007, at the age of 88.Born in Jacquet River, the daughter of Frank Young and Elizabeth (Guitard).
She is survived by her husband Hector, sons Michael (Monica) of Jacquet River, Timmy (Odette) of Dundee, daughters Trudy Doucet (Lloyd) of Jacquet River, Barb Firth (Bev) of Brampton ON., Mary Catherine Dolan of Orillia and Lorraine Cormier (Ronnie) of Bathurst. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild a brother Victor of Vancouver and sister Janie Driscoll of New York.
Gert was pre-deceased by son in law Tom Dolan, brothers Alvin, Raymond, Leonard, Bernard, Joe, Lawrence and sisters Eva Hickey, Lena Guitard and Florence Donner.
Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church Jacquet River, April 05,2007 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Shawn Dolan, Chris Dolan, Terry Doucet, Randy Doucette, Mitch Guitard and Steve Guitard. Honourary Pallbearers were Marlene and Bill Dealy, Michelle Doucet, Troy England, Ashley Guitard, Andrew Goyette, Treska Guitard, Debbie Ferrier and Glen and Ann Doucet. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Lucie Babin
The death of Lucie Babin, aged 97, occurred at Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 1, 2007. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was the daughter of the late Francis and Elzire (Roy) Boudreau of Petit Rocher.
She is survived by one daughter Precille Dionne; half-sister Elzire and half-brother, Dorien; her grandchildren Martin (Andrew), Jacqueline Kippers (Steven), Matthew (Jeanette), Nicole Lagace (Richard), and Sean (Sarah), as well as great-grandchildren Aaron, Natasha, Renee, Dominik, Nicholas, Adrian, Joelle, Luke, Jamie and Malachi.
She was predeceased by her husband Peter; her sisters Hectorine, Martha and Precille, and brothers Legere, Rheal, Adelard, Herbie, and Augustin as well as half-sisters Doris and Aline and half-brothers Leo and Victorin.
Lucie met and married Peter in Charlo, where she spent her entire married life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was renowned for her cooking, sewing and gardening. She even dabbled in carpentry and upholstery.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St. Miramichi on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church in Charlo with Father Rejean Landry officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of to The Alzheimer Society. The funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillian's Funeral Home in Black Point and Northumberland Funeral Home in Miramichi.
