The death of Martha Chamberlain of Lorne, wife of the late Andrew Chamberlain, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Sunday March 16, 2008, at the age of 66. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late William Esliger and Gertrude (Gagnon).

She is survived by her daughters Andrea Chamberlain (Herbie) of Lorne, Wendy Chamberlain (Darryl) of Nash Creek, sons Elvis (Diane) of Ajax ON Breck (Michelle) of Gravelhill and Blair of Lorne. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two brothers Durbin and Claude as well as seven sisters Lucinda Dempsey, Geraldine Savoie, Albertine Firlotte, Pauline O'Brien, Lorette Doucet, Adeline Mallaley and Florence Doyle.

Her funeral was held at St. Maria Goretti Church Lorne, Wednesday March 19, 2008, officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the Parish Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Dwayne O'Brien and Dean O'Brien, Carl Esliger, Ricky Esliger, Andy Godin and Gerald Chamberlain.
