Lila Doucet

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 27, 2009, Mrs. Lila Doucet, wife of the late Arthur Doucet of 9 Matheson Street Campbellton. Born in Port Daniel, Quebec on January 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William Fitzgerald and the late Elizabeth Huntington. Survived by one daughter, Faye (late William Gill) Niagara Falls ON; one son, Ralph (Romana Ferguson) Niagara Falls, ON; nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Arthur, one son Roy Doucet. Funeral services from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on March 30, 2009 with Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Burial in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery this spring. Pallbearers were Reggie Chedore, Jack Chedore, Vic Nagus, Carl Anderson, Henry Montefrisco and Raymond O'Brien. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton.

Laurence Ouellette
1955 - 2009

Passed away at the Jewish General Hospital Montreal, March 26th, 2009 at the age of 53, Laurence Ouellette. Born in Campbellton on July 14th, 1955, he was the son of Muriel Anderson and the late Yvon Ouellette. Stepson of Vance Anderson. He will be sadly missed by his mother, loving wife, Marlinda, daughter Kimberly, sons Justin and Lance, sisters Patsy (Randy MacCollum), Linda Ouellette. Brothers Yvon, Phillip (Gemma), Daniel (Sylvie), Gerry and Vance Jr. and his nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Funeral service will be held in Montreal, Saturday April 4th, 2009.

Douglas "Ricky" Delaney
1947 - 2009

The death of Douglas "Ricky" Delaney occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on March 27th, 2009. He was 62 years of age. Surrounded by his family, he battled cancer for more than 13 years, but in the end, though his will did not fail, his body did. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise (Arseneau) Delaney, a daughter Tracy Esliger (Carl) of Lorne, a son Gregory Delaney (Aloma) of Riverview, two granddaughters, Kathleen and Jillian Esliger, and a grandson Tennyson Delaney. He is also survived by his father Cyr Delaney, a sister Heather Delaney, and special niece Jennifer Hamilton (Dwayne), all of Dalhousie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Bertha (Savoie) Delaney. Born in Saint-John, he was a paper maker at the Bowater pulp and paper mill in Dalhousie for 33 years. Funeral mass was held March 31st at St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
