Martha (Beulah) Jeffery

With Symnpathy, Martha (Beulah) Jeffery passed away on May 24th, 2012 at the age of 72.

Survived by three daughters Brenda Jolley (Ken) of Kincardine, ON., Diane Robichaurd (Richard) of Ottawa, and Michelle Gionet (Joe Pino) of Lavalle QC, a deceased daughter Angela Groves of Trenton ON, five grandchildren, Christine Earnshaw, Jason Robichaud, Lori-Anne Jolley, Kimberly Jolley and a deceased grandchild Joseph Groves, six great grandchildren Victoria Earnshaw, Timothy Earnshaw, Mickiel Groves, Damien Groves, Kaden Linde (Jolley), Colton Jolley-McPherson. Also survived by her beloved companion Arnold Adams of Matapedia.

Vivian Alice Murray

Friends and family of Vivian Alice Murray (Thompson) were saddened to learn of her death on May 24, 2012. Vivian was an active member and supporter of her community and all who knew her will miss her kindness and charity.

She leaves to mourn her two sons Peter, michael (Kim), her grandchildren Amy, Minday, Aaron, Shawn, Jessica, her great granddaughters Isavbelle and Charlie, her daughters in Law Jane and Denise, her sisters Alma Irvine, Etta Murray, Verna Bulmer, Iris Montgomery and brother George Elmer Thompson.

Special thanks go out to her nephews Donald and Gordon Thompson and to the Reverend Michael O'Hara. Thanks to the Pallbearers Kevin Murray, Aaron Murray, Donald Robinson, Paul Thomas, James Thompson, Donald Thompson. Mary Theresa DiGioronimo

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Theresa DiGironimo announces her passing on May 27, 2012 at the Newmarket Cancer Center in Newmarket, ON., at the age of 61.

Born in Jacquet River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Arthur Arseneault and Mary Myrtle (Murne) Arseneault.

Mary Theresa is survived by her partner (Doug) , 2 daughters, Denise DiGironimo (Morley) and Tanya, grandchildren, Katlyn, Kody, and Morley Jr. She is also survived by her mother Mary Myrtle (Murne), sisters Molly Esliger (Donald), Rita Giffin (Brian), Carmel Constant (Michel), brothers, Stanton (Marjorie), Allan (Muriel), Carl (Suzanne), Mark and Paul Mary Theresa is predeceased by her father Joseph Arthur Arseneault, and brother Kenneth.

Ken Durette

Passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on May 16, 2012 at the age of 71, Mr. Ken Durette. He was born May 28, 1940.

He leaves to mourn his brothers Jack (Campbellton) Lou, Charlie and Armand (Toronto), sister Dorothy Arsenault (Campbellton, several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Leo Durette and Eva Furlong, brother Jerry and sister Lucy.

Denis Oakes

It is with great sadness that the family of Denis Oakes announ ces his passing on Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at the Niagara General in Niagara Falls Ontario at the age of 52 after a brief illness. Born in Dalhousie, NB, he wqas the son of the late Walter Oakes.

Denis is survived by his mother Rita Oakes (Chiasson), daughters Katie LeClair (Derek) and Elisha Oakes, friend Gabrielle Koller, brother Roger Oakes (Sandra), sister Susan Oakes, brother Darren Oakes (Tammy) and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Vivian MacMillan

The death of Vivian MacMillan of Black Point occurred at her residence Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Sea Side, she was the daughter of Alpheus D. and Ella (Hamilton) Ward.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Gerald (Gabriella) of Quispamsis, dauhters Jean MacMillan Cook (Finley) of Black Point, her grandchildren; Mandi Cook, Kendra MacMillan and Eric Cook, as well as several nieces and nephews, Vivial will also be greatly missed by her faithful canine companion, Molly.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, brothers; Allison, Hartley, Lloyd, Melvin, Vaughan, Vernon and Murray and special friend Ira Beattie.

Vivian graduated from the Homeopathic Hospital School on Nursing in Montreal in 1946. Her career took her to hospitals in Quebec and New Brunswick in a variety of nursing positions. She was a lifetime member of the United Church of Canada and served on several boards, in her retirement she enjoyed golfing, cross country skiing, bowling and card games, specifically bridge. She also spent time travelling with her family. Vivian had a great love for the outdoors and the Bay of Chaleur.

Pallbearers were; Kris Brown, Eric Cook, George Cook, Joe Smeltzer, Ron Ward and Steve Ward. Honorary pallbearers were ; Allie Blake, Finley Cook, Chuch Leslie, Bert Winton, Pearl Guitard, Flora Hickey, Helen MacCurdy, Willa Sealy and Doreen Hickey.

Cora P. Calhoun

Cora Calhoun passed away June 1, 2012 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, N.S. Cora Leadbetter was born March 22, 1916 in Port Hood, N.S.

She was schooled in Truro and then studied Nursing at Saint John General Hospital School of Nursingfrom which she graduated in 1938. In 1942 Cora married John M. Calhoun who was serving in WW||. At the end of the war they moved to Campbellton where they lived for 40 years and where John owned an Insurance business. Cora was a piano player, an avid golfer, a duplicate bridge enthusiast, a volunteer in Campbellton in a variety of areas, a member of First United Church. She was a well known figure for all of that time. When John died, she moved in 1998 to Truro to live with her sister Etta.

Arnold Esliger

The death of Arnold Elslier of Jacquet River occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the St Joseph's Hospital on June 2, 2012 at the age of 80. Born in Jacquet River, he was the son of the late William and Julia (Dempsey) Elsliger.

Arnold is survived by his brother Donald, sistes Charlotte, Cynthia and Ethel.

He was predeceased by his sisters Frida, Geraldine, Helena and Viola as well as his brothers Gerald, Alfred and Austin.
