William "Bill" Hogan 

William "Bill" Hogan of Miramichi passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, Thursday, November 15, 2001. He was 62.

Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late William J. and Heloise (Losier) Hogan.

He had been an editorial cartoonist working for daily and community newspapers in New Brunswick (including the Campbellton Tribune) and had published a number of books of his cartoons.

He was a member of the Canadian Political Cartoonist Society, a devoted family man, golfer and curler. He loved his wife and children and had an exemplary love of life. He touched the lives of a multitude of people.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Norine (Fletcher) and his children Bill (Heather) of Woodstock, Heather of Cold Lake, Alberta, Carolyn Simmons (Harold) of Oak Bay, N.B., Sean (Kelly) of St. Stephen, Patrick (Terri) of Moncton and his brothers and sisters: Edward (Bud) Hogan of Moncton, DAvid (Barb) Hogan of Miramichi, Mary (John) Glynn of Waterdown, Ontario and Anne Hogan of Moncton , grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Edmond J. Cormier

The death of Edmond J. Cormier of Campbellton occurred November 17, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 81.

He was born in Rogersville, N.B. on September 8, 1920 to Jacques (James) Cormier and Sylvie Allain. He had been a supervisor with Fraser Inc. for 44 years and had been president of union local 160. He had also been a commissioner of Boy Scouts, was a member of the Campbellton Curling Club, the Restigouche Golf Club and Royal Canadian Legion branches 35 in Atholville and 19 in Campbellton.

During the Second Wold War, he served in England, Belgium and Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Simone (Janssens) Cormier (she was born in Knokke LeZaute, Belgium and they were married during the war), his daughter, Eliane Primeau (Robert) of Shediac, his sons, Aurele Cormier (Evelyn) of Oromocto (First wedding), Luc Cormier (Maris) of Moncton and Jean Cormier (Gilberthe) of Campbellton, his sisters, Eva Young (Arthur) of Atholville and May Roy (Garnet) of Atholville and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, by brothers Octave, Clovis, Ben, Willie and sister Marie.

Gilbert Darrel Hennigar 

Family and friends were saddened by the death of Gilbert Darrel Hennigar (also known to some as Gill or Bert) on October 22, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. He had battled cancer for four years.

He was born on March 14, 1942 in Dawsonville and is survived by his wife Iris, his son Aaron, his daughters Kesteal and her husband Dominic and their children Kyle, Kristian and Danielle: and Charlotte and her husband Joe, his sisters Dorcas and Margaret and brother Raymond and their families. He will also be missed by "his little girl" Cocoa, who he loved dearly.

Bert lived his life to the fullest. He loved and was loved and will be dearly missed by all who he touched during his life.

He loved playing his guitar and singing and rarely refused or missed a good house party.

He had been a truck driver for about 35 years. He was able to see Canada from coast to coast and had many interesting stories to share. He also travelled to many cities in the U.S.A.

Bert loved being close to the water. He found pleasure in fishing and had worked at Ford's Fishing Camp and at Camp Harmony as a fishing guide.

He had been a volunteer fireman at the Upsalquitch-Robinsonville Fire Department for many years. He also learned to knit during the last years and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Emile Godin 

The death of Emile Godin of Lorne, husband of Annie Hickey, occurred November 12, 2001 at St Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie at the age of 77.

He had worked as a woodsman.

He is survived by his wife Annie, his daughter Albertine of Lorne, his son Eric (Ines) of Lorne, five grandchildren, his brother Gordon of Lorne and his sister Marie Hickey of Lorne.

He was predeceased by his parents Sanford Godin and Amanda Audet, his daughter Peggy, three brothers Hector, Amedee and Emmanuel and two sisters Marion and Emma.

Thomas Murray Dower 

The death of Thomas Murray Dower of 18 Van Horne Cr., Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 14, 2001 at the age of 70.

He was born in Campbellton to Murray Dower and Edith Allingham and had been a lab technician at the Fraser Mill for 43 years. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher for adults and youth and had a great interest in music, literature and history.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Elizabeth Dower, his daughters Heather Ann Brown and Barbara Lynn Dower of Grand Pré, Nova Scotia, his son Robert Glen Dower of Campbellton, his sisters Marilyn MacKay of Campbellton, Dawn Stefiuk of Ottawa, Margot Vincent of Fredericton and Helen Burns of Manotick, Ontario, his brother Dwight (Buster) Dower of Halifax and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Roméo Losier 

The death of Roméo Losier occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 10, at the age of 95. He would have been 96 in 15 days. Born in St Isidore, Mr. Losier was the son of Juste Losier and Victorine Poulin and he was a shoemaker.

He leaves to mourn, his daughters; Marthe (Ken Leeks), Danielle (Rénald Cormier) and Micheline; his sons Camille (Jacqueline Gauvreau) and André (Paulette Burke); his sister Eva (Jean Duke); his brother Auguste (Fernande Savoie); his grandchildren Rick Leeks (Elizabeth Anne Ziegler), Glen Leeks (Elizabeth Holton), Caroline Losier (Stephane Sylvain), Stéphane Losier (Isabelle Vienneau), Marc Cormier (Misty Chislhom), Jean Claude Losier (Annie Fontaine) and Simone Losier; his great grandchildren Morgan and Makana Leeks, Johathan, Mathieu and Gabriel Losier-Sylvain, Victoria Cormier and Olivia Cormier and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Anne Berthelot.
