Catherine Anne Goupil (David)

Catherine Anne Goupil (David) On April 24, 2005, at Prince County Hospital in Summerside, P.E.I., Catherine passed away at the age of 86 years. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care and support given to Mom by the Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Mackean.

In keeping with Mom's wishes, no formal funeral service will take place. Catherine will be laid to rest with her parents in Dalhousie, New Brunswick. Prayers are scheduled for Sunday, May 8th at 9:00 a.m. (regular church service) at Parish St. John the Baptist, 340 Church Lane, Dalhousie, New Brunswick.

The death of Catherine Anne - David - Goupil, née Harquail, occurred on Sunday, April 24, 2005, at the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital in Summerside, P.E.I., formerly of Dalhousie, N.B. and Montreal, Que., in her 86th year. Wife of the late Eugen Rolland David and the late Sylvio Goupil of Dalhousie. Dear mother of Penny Harquail of Dalhousie, N.B., Silvia (Albert) Suto of French River, P.E.I., Linda Paula David-Pigeau (Robert) of Winnipeg, M.B., Micheal David of Montreal, Que., Daniel David (Donna) of Winnipeg, M.B.

Sadly missed by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by brothers Joseph (Tom) Harquail of Dalhousie. Survived by sister Leona Harquail of Montreal, Que. Step-mother of Marc Goupil, Jean Roc, Gaetaine Lavigne and Claudette Valdron of Dalhousie.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph (Jose) Harquail, Marrianne Harquail (née Vieneau) of Dalhousie, N.B.

Cremation by Maher's Funeral Home, in accordance with the deceased last will and testament, no funeral service. Memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 340 Church Lane, Dalhousie on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8th at 9:00 a.m.

Hector Ouellette

The death of Hector Ouellette of 166 Ferguson St., Atholville, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 28, 2005, at the age of 75.

Born in Balmoral on June 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Octave Ouellette and the late Leonie Matte.

Surviving him is his wife Fernande (née Poirier) Ouellette, daughters Denise (Maurice) LeBlanc of Moncton, Claire (Jean-Paul) Duchesne of Campbellton, Linda (Gilles) Roy of Moncton, Aline Ouellette of St. Francois of Matapedia and Joanne Ouellette of Campbellton, sons Marcel (Ginette) of Atholville, Gilles (Anick) of Montreal and Richard of Atholville, sisters Marie-Anne (Maurice) LeBlanc of Atholville, Elizabeth (Clarence) Girard of Toronto and Geraldine (Real) Girard of Atholville, brothers Aurele of Pointe a la Croix, Emilien (Freda) of Campbellton, Daniel (Albertine) of Campbellton, Romeo (Rita) of Atholville and Roland of Val D'Amour.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceasing Hector was his son Gerard, grandson Alain and brother Edouard.

The funeral was held from Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Atholville on April 30, 2005, officiated by Father Romeo Morrison, with interment in the Tide Head Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marcel Ouellette, Richard Ouellette, Roland Ouellette, Gilles Ouellette, Gilbert Ouellette and Patrick Ouellette. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Jean Irvine McDavid

The death of Jean Irvine McDavid of 314 Riverside Drive, Matapedia, Que., occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 27, 2005, at the age of 86.

Born in Dawsonville on January 28, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lindsay Irvine and the late Sadie Cooling.

Surviving her are her daughters Daisy (Ray) Mann of Runnymede, Que., Earleen (Glen) Dobson of Pointe à la Garde, Que., Rose (Hector) Paradis of Pointe à la Croix, Que., Joyce McDavid of Montreal, Que., Bonnie McDavid of Ottawa, Ont., Martha McDavid of Matapedia, Que., and Wendy McDavid of Matapedia, Que., son Lindsay McDavid of Ablerta. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Predeceasing her were her parents Lindsay and Sadie as well as her husband Kelly McDavid.

The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on April 29, 2005, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser, with interment in the Matapedia Protestant Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Judith Matthews Metallic

The death of Judith Matthews Metallic of 49 Riverside East, Listuguj, PQ, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 24, 2005, at the age of 88.

Born in Eel Ground, N.B. on May 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael Matthews and the late Marry Ann Marchand.

Surviving her are her daughters Patricia (Ivan) Gray, Norma Jean Martin and Wanda (Dennis) Metallic all of Listuguj, sons Patrick Metallic Jr., Lawrence Rock (Lorraine) Metallic and Clifford (Dawn) Metallic, sister Lucie Matthews Vicaire, 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceasing her was her sons Guy, Victor and Willard and her husband Patrick Sr. The funeral was held from St. Anne's Church in Listuguj on April 27, 2005, officiated by Father Evariste Landry with interment in St. Anne's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Denzel Isaac, Deny Isaac, Serge Gray, Ivan Gray Jr., Clifford Metallic, Ryan Morrison and Trapper Metallic. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Raymond Lapointe

The death of Raymond (Timmy) Lapointe of Lorne occurred April 22, 2005, at Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 71.

Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Walter Lapointe and the late Lucy Ann Bertin. He is survived by his daughters Christine Lapointe (Justin) of Lorne, and Jeannine Hickey of Gaspe, step-sons Coleman Hickey (Yvonne) of Bathurst, Evan Hickey, Jimmy LeBelle, Ricky LeBelle and three grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Velma O'Neill of Toronto, Edna Lapointe (Emile) of Lorne, Delia Chamberlain (Cecil) of Lorne, Hazel Lapointe of Miramichi, brother Eugene Lapointe (Betty) of Dalhousie and girlfriend Doris Carrier.

He was predeceased by his brothers James, Simon, Stanley, sisters Elsie, Lillian, and by his mother and father.

His funeral was held April 26, 2005, from St. Maria Goretti Church in Lorne, officiated by Father Greg Culligan. Pallbearers were Pamphile Chamberlain, Lindsay Carrier, Richard Hickey, Perry Carrier, Irvin Hickey and Edgar LaPointe.
