Alice Branch-Audet

The death of Alice Branch-Audet of Rimouski occurred in Rimouski on May 11, 2005, at the age of 94.

Born in Burnsville, NB on November 18, 1910, she was the daughter of the late William Branch and the late Salomé Godin.

Surviving her are her daughters Gabrielle (Lucius Landry), Thérèse (Henriot Loubert), and Murielle (Léopold Morissette), sons Gérald and Bernard (France Ouellette), grandchildren Eric and Rene Audet, Joanne, Nadine, and Manon Landry, Patrick and Stephanie Loubert, Jennifer, Nancy and Lise Hélène Morissette and Julie Audet, great grandchildren Joanie, Andréanne, Jimmy, Jasmine, Mikael, William, Francis, Isabelle, Sara Eve and Olivier.

Predeceasing her were her parents William and Salomé, her husband Joseph Audet, and great grandchild Tommy.

The funeral was held from Ste. Anne de Restigouche Church on May 14, 2005, officiated by Évariste Landry and Delvida Leblanc, with interment in the Restigouche Cemetery. Pallbearers were "La Garde Paroissial". Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Andrew Joseph Gallant

The death of Andrew Joseph Gallant of Glencoe occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 8, 2005, at the age of 83.

Born in Glencoe on August 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Frank Gallant and the late Angele Chouinard. Andrew was retired employee with Farsers Inc. He was also a former parish council member of St. Anthony's in Glen Levit. He enjoyed woodworking, Silva culture, dairy farming, raising of Arabian horses, built and flew both model and ultralight aircrafts. Andrew was a veteran, serving in the North Shore Regiment for 6 years overseas and participated in the Normandy Invasion.

Surviving Andrew is his wife Jean (Butters) Gallant (English warbride), daughters Kay (Maurice) Dion of Glencoe and Lynda (Tom) Gray of Flatlands, sons Roger (Denise) Gallant of Tide Head, Mark (Lavonne) Gallant of Turner Valley, Alberta, and Peter (Sue) Gallant of Glencoe. Also surviving are grandchildren Gregory, Donny and Carolyn Dion, Philip and Richard Gray, Matthew Gallant, Karmen Leh, Erin and Kevin Gallant, James (Jim) and Steven Gallant.

Predeceasing him was his parents Frank and Angele, brothers Ben, Joe and John, sisters Rose Malley, Mary Ouellet, Margaret (Parker) LeBlanc, and one son Donald Gallant.

The funeral was held from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glen Levit, N.B., on May 12, 2005, officiated by Rev. T. Gregory Culligan, with interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glen Levit. Mass servers were Matthew Gallant and Steven Gallant (who also played "The Last Post" on trumpet). Pallbearers were Gregory Dion, Donny Dion, Philip Gray, James (Jim) Gallant, Richard Gray and Carolyn Dion. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Jean Irvine McDavid

The death of Jean Irvine McDavid, wife of the late Kelly McDavid of Matapedia, Que., occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 27, 2005, at the age of 86.

Born in Dawsonville, N.B. on January 28, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lindsay Irvine and the late Sarah (Sadie) Cooling. Also predeceasing her were her brothers Lindsay Junior and Keith, sisters Isabel, Joyce, Alma and Bernice.

Surviving are her daughters, Daisy Mann (Ray) of Runnyemead, Que, Earleen Dobson (Glen) of Pointe à la Garde, Que., Rose (Hector) Paradis of Pointe à la Croix, Que., Joyce McDavid of Montreal, Que., Bonnie McDavid of Ottawa, Ont., Martha McDavid of Matapedia, Que., Wendy McDavid of Matapedia, Que., one son Lindsay McDavid of Alberta. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, three sisters Ramona of B.C., Dawn of Ontario and Nellie of Moncton.

The funeral was held on April 29, 2005, from Maher's Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser. Interment will be in the Matapdedia Protestant Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers were Jarvis Irvine, Kevin Irvine, Carl Haley, Timmy and Kevin Mann and Peter McDavid. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Paula Legacy

Paula Legacy, formerly of Richardsville, passed away on May 9, 2005, in Victoria, B.C. from cancer.

She is survived by her father and mother, Leonard and Andrea, her sisters Joan and Pauline, her brothers Craig, Paul, Jimmy, Bruce, Gary and Mark, and her only son Lee. Cremation has taken place in Victoria, B.C., her home for over 25 years and final resting place.

A memorial service was held in Richardsville, at the Marie-Reine Church on Friday May 13, 2005.

Paula's family would like to thank everyone's kind wishes and support in their time of need, it was greatly appreciated.

Tommy Audit

Tommy Audit of Timmins, Ont., and formerly of Nash Creek passed away suddenly at his home on May 9, 2005, at the age of 44.

Born in Nash Creek, he was the son of Lillian Noel and the late Yvon Audit.

He is survived by his wife Mary Stella, mother Lillian, daughters Elizabeth of Ontario, Chris Ann Audit of Timmins, Ont. and a grandson Jordan. Also surviving are brothers Michael (Jeanette) of Timmins, Paul (Trina) of Moncton, and Danny (Lori) of Pickering, Ont.

He was predeceased by his father Yvon, and brother Robert.

His funeral was held from Saint Gabriel Church, Jacquet River, on Friday May 13, 2005, officiated by Father Wilfred Benoit with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Fraser, Allen Roy, Raymond Shannon, Don Dempsey, Joe Dempsey, and Vincent Duplessis that are active members of Legion Durham Branch # 77. Honorary Pallbearers were his brothers Michael, Danny, Paul and nephews Todd, Curtis, and Bob.
