Wanda (Laxton) Cyr

The passing of Wanda (Laxton) Cyr occurred on April 15, 2010 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 72. Born on April 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Laxton and the late Jeannette Isaac. She is survived by her husband, Donald Cyr, son Gilbert (Cecile), daughters Jeannette (Kevin), Tanya (Pierre) and Carma (Lorne) and her seven grandchildren; Cara, Kassia, Karlee, Braelyn, Isabella, Joey and Alex. Funeral Services were held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on April 19, 2010. Pallbearers were Gilbert Cyr, Kevin Murphy, Pierre Lirette, Lorne Campbell, Ozzie Dobson and Hector Coutange. She is sadly missed.

Nora Mallaley

The death of Nora Mallaley of Lorne occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph Hospital on Sunday May 09, 2010 at the age of 81. Born in Lorne,she was the daughter of the late Frank Carrier & the late Laura Francoeur. Nora is survived by her husband Alexander, daughters; Theresa Legacy (Percy) of Lorne, Corrina Creighton (Terry) of New Mills, son; Tony (Jennifer) of Lorne, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren as well as her sister Eva Gallen and brothers Stanley, Donald, Murray and Connie. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers; Elric, Elias, Abe and Edgar as well as her sister Ethel. Her funeral was held from St. Maria Goretti Church,Lorne Thursday, May 13, 2010 officiated by Father Chamberlain. Pallbearers were Percy Legacy, Percy Mallaley,Eldon Mallaley, Mario Carrier, Jean Marc Carrier and Nigel Creighton. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point.

Mary Anne Gallen

The death of Mary Anne Gallen of Jacquet River occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Sunday, May 09, 2010 at the age of 76. Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late William Carrier and the late Marie Godin. She is survived by her common-law husband Edward Noel, her stepsons Edward and Kevin, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Gallen and three sisters Emma, Viola and Ethel. Her funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, Wednesday, May 12, 2010 officiated by Father David Ferguson. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillans Funeral Home, Black Point.

John Le Bourque

John Le Bourque, husband of Connie, passed away on May 11th at the Campbellton Veterans Unit. John was born on February 12, 1918 in Atholville, N. B. to the late Maxime (Mike) and the late Delvina (Parent) LeBourque. He was retired from the Fraser Mill in Atholville and enjoyed his retirement especially his summers with Mom at the cottage. His favourite pastime was playing crib which he did at the Club de L'Age D'or in Atholville and continued at the Veterans Unit with family, friends and even with the staff. He is survived by his wife Connie (Korrubel), his daughters Yvonne (Weldon Furlotte), Joyce (Sterling) Furlotte, Shirley (Gerry) Goguen, Peggy (Leonard) Maltais, Sandra (Katy) (late Bill) Allen and his son Kenneth Le Bourque. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his sister Rita (Georges) Poirier and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Jean, Emile, Paul, Alphonse (late Adeline Cummings) (late Anita Selesse), Alexandre (Carmen Power) and his sisters Dorina (late Edward Blaquiere) (late Germain Gallant) (Wilfred) Foucault, Jeanne (late Alexandre) Blaquiere and Adele (late Willie) Power. Funeral was held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Atholville on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Private family burial took place in the Tide Head Cemetery. Pop was a resident of the Campbellton Veterans Unit for three years where he received the best care possible. The family wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude to the entire staff of the unit. He was full of life and he gave life to the unit. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the visits at the funeral home, for floral arrangements, donations, masses, cards and many expressions of sympathy. John Hartwick

We are saddened by the loss of our father John Hartwick, who passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 28, 2010 at the age of 54. He was a loving and caring father who would do anything for his two daughters, Evelyne Bard-Hartwick and Melissa Bard-Hartwick. He was a man with a wonderful sense of humor, and a heart of gold to share with others. Daddy you are the man of the year, the man we truly Love, the person we could talk to about anything and everything, You are our father who we will treasure and Love always. We miss you terribly!! You can sore with the Eagles now!! A Service was held at Maher's Funeral Home Campbellton on Friday May 21st. Interment at Our Lady of Snows Cemetery in Campbellton. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
