Alice Desbiens

Est décédée au CHSLD de Matapédia, le 28 avril 2008 à l'âge de 90 ans, Madame Alice Desbiens. Née à Bonaventure (QC) le 5 avril 1918, elle était la fille de feu Ernest Desbiens et de feue Marie-Anne Arbour.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles Paulette (Albert) Bujold de Pointe-à-la-Croix, Pauline (Emmanuel) Pelletier de Pointe-à-la-Croix et Jacqueline (Bill) Craig de Charlo, ses fils Roger (Micheline Dubé) de Québec, Jacques de Montréal, Denis (Johanne Lagacé) de Québec et Jean-Louis (Thérèse Lagacé) de Québec, sa sœur Georgette Arseneault de Bonaventure, ainsi que 10 petits-enfants, 7 arrières petits-enfants, plusieurs nièces, neveux, belle-sœurs et beau-frères. Prédécédée par son époux Joseph " Ti-Blanc " Boudreau.

Les funérailles ont eu lieu à l'Église Ste-Hélène de Pointe-à-la-Croix, samedi le 3 mai à 15h00. Père Dalvida LeBlanc comme célébrant. L'inhumation sera au cimetière de la Paroisse ce printemps. Les porteurs étaient les Chevaliers de Colomb de Campbellton.

Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Campbellton.

Dorothy Helen Adams

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 26, 2008 at the age of 85, Mrs. Dorothy Helen Adams. Born in Campbellton on February 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James William Adams and the late Stella Boudreau. She was a teacher for 40 years, was in the Catholic Women's League and Firettes Glens Sports Association.

She leaves to mourn her daughters Carolee McCoy, Freda Adams and Wendy Vestrocy, her sons Brent, Greg, Todd and Lance Adams, her sister Joyce Archibald, her brothers Graham and Carl Boudreau. Also survived by her grandchildren Lisa, Phillip, Elliott, Stacey, Julianne, Fiffany, James, Joshua, Joselynn, Alicia and Jaron, her nieces and nephews John, Paul, Bonnie, Roxanne, Shauna, Chris, April, Claude and Dallas. Predeceased by her husband James Adams.

The funeral mass was held from St. Anthony's Church Glen Levit on Thursday May lst at 11am. Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Interment at the Parish Cemetery this spring. Pallbearers were Stacey McDavid, Joshua Vestrocy, John Boudreau, Kevin Vautour, Justin Irvine and Jaron Adams.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Sam Talbot "Papa Sam"

It is with great sadness the family of Sam (Sanford) Talbot announces his passing at home on April 28, 2008 in his 85th year.

Sam was the son of the late Joseph Talbot and Margaret Elsliger of Belledune.

Survived by one son and best friend Nelson (Patsy) of Belledune, daughters Nancy (David) Tardiff of Bathurst and Donna (Paul) Delong of New Maryland, seven grandchildren Jennifer and Jimmy Talbot, Ben and Clark Tardiff, Kaitlyn, Jared and Connor Delong, brother Ralph Talbot and special companion Colleen Gallen.

Predeceased by his wife Alice (Firlotte), sisters Mona Henderson, Edna Talbot, brothers Reg, Harry, Art, Leslie, and Arnold.

Sam spent 33 years in the Air Force followed by 10 years with the N.B. Liquor Corporation in Jacquet River. He was a devout Catholic of Saint Gabriel's Parish and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 77.

Known as a warm host, his home was often full with extended family and friends.

Papa Sam was a wonderful father, grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We love you Papa Sam!!

His funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, Thursday May 01, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson followed by a Legion service. Burial is to take place in the parish Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Jim Talbot, Ben Tardiff, Paul DeLong, Jared DeLong, Clark Tardiff & David Tardiff. Honorary Pallbearers were Leo Firlotte, Jack Fraser, Ralph Flanagan, Vaughan Culligan, Gordon MacDougall, Murray Furlotte, Allan Culligan & Philip Hickey.

Emile Guitard

The death of Emile Guitard occurred Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Foyer Notre-Dames-de-Lourdes, Bathurst at the age of 80. Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late James Guitard and the late Christianna (Guitard).

He was pre-deceased by his wife Verna and son Rickey. Emile is survived by his daughter Cecilia Fournier (Roland) of Green Point, grandaughter Natasha, grandson Jimmy, great grandson Kegan and a sister Emilia of Ontario.

His funeral was held from St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, Thursday May 1, 2008 officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Wing D of the Foyer in memory of Emile would be appreciated by the family.
