William (Joe) Carrier

The death of William (Joe) Carrier of Nash Creek occured at the Bathurst Regional Hospital July 13,2012 at the age of 67.Born in Nash Creek,he was the son of the late Angus LaPointe & the late Emma Carrier.

He is survived by his son Tony;grandson Kyle,brothers Eugene,Willie,Durban,Gabriel,Wayne,Steve,Claude,Kirk;sisters Emmaline Harvey,Mabel Hickey,Eva LaPointe,Christine Lavigne,Martha Moreau,June Furlotte & Linda Audet.He was predeceased by his brothers Merlin,Duff,Jackie,Francis & Leonard.

Edgar Benoit

Passed away at the Dalhousie Palliatif Care, Edgar Benoit on July 1, at the age of 85. Born on February 24, 1927, son of the late Seraphin Benoit and the late Veronique Mallet.

Edgar is survived by his brothers, Father Wilfred Benoit and Gerard Benoit (Hermance) and several nieces and nephews.

Eileen Shea

The death of Eileen Shea of New Mills occured at the Campbellton Regional Hospital July 12,2012 at the age of 92.Born in Nash Creek,she was daughter of the late Hector Doucet & the late Mary (Landry.

She is survived by her daughters;Ann Stooksberry (Fred) of Colorado,Marilyn Dark (Bill) of Winnipeg,Mary Shea of New Mills;sons Mike of Nash Creek,Bill of New Mills,Pat(Peggy) of Bathurst,Allan (Wendy) of Seaside; " We love you mum". She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren,8 greatgrandchildren;brother George as well as her sisters Ida Roy,Irma Sutton & Carmel Roy.She was predeceased by her husband Norman,infant son Joseph;infant daughter Janet;brothers Pat,Arthur,Alphe,Joe & Adrien and sisters Marie McNair & Theresa Norton.

Heinz Zinke

The death of Heinz Zinke of Lorne occured at the Palliative Care Unit of St.Joseph Hospital Friday,July 13,2012 at the age of 73.Born in Dresden Germany,he was the son of the late Walter & Ella Zinke.Heinz was employed as a window Glazer in Toronto,Bathurst & Campbellton for numerous years.

He is survived by his wife Teenie,son Ronnie (Gail) of Bathurst;his beloved grandaughter Anna;sisters Renata & Imgard of Germany as well as his brother Gunther of Paris.He was predeceased by his brothers Winfred,Loda & Manfred.

Adrien Lavigne

The death of Adrien Lavigne of Lorne occured at the St.John Regional Hospital Thursday,July 05,2012 at the age of 73.Born in Lorne,he was the son of the late William & Agnes(LaPointe) Lavigne.

He is survived by his wife Evangeline (Hickey);son Rodney,grandaughter Jessica;greatgrandaughter Marissa;brother Ralph as well as his sisters Eleonor,Lydia & Teenie.He was predeceased by his son Cleve daughter in law Monique & grandaughter Cynthia,infant daughter Wanda,brothers Donat Lavinge & Richard Gauthier and sisters Evangeline,Florence,& Dinah.

Wendy Joncas

The death of Wendy Joncas of Niagara Falls occured at the Niagara General Hospital July 07,2012 at the age of 46.Born in Belledune,she was the daughter of Ernest & Mildred Carrier.

Besides her parents,she is also survived by her husband Donald;daughter Vanessa & son Dontay;grandaughter Sonya;brothers Ronnie Carrier as well as her sisters Cindy & Shirley.

Donna Menzies Miller
1957-2012

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 7, at the age of 54, Mrs. Donna Menzies Miller of Dalhousie, wife of George Miller.

The Graveside service will be held at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery, on Tuesday at 2pm.

There will be no visitation at the funeral Home.

Vera Hello

Passed away at the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton on July 11, at the age of 80, Mrs. Vera Stever Hello, wife of the late Edward Joseph Hello.

A graveside service will be held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Campbellton on Friday at 2 p.m.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Stephen B. Savoie

With sadness the family announces the passing of Stephen Bruce Savoie which occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, July 13th, 2012.

Born 1950, in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of Eileen (Anderson) Savoie and the late Benoit Savoie. Stephen was “The Earle of Leinster”.

He was owner and inn keeper of the Earle of Leinster Bed & Breakfast for 24 years and was very passionate about his job. He worked as a stockbroker for Nesbitt Thomson. Stephen served on the Parking Commission for the City of Saint John and was Chairperson for two years for the North/South All Star Game benefiting the Association for Community Living. Stephen established and ran Pro Co Hockey Schools.

He is survived by his sons Benjamin, Cole and Bruce (Cassandra) and daughter Nancy Savoie all of Saint John; sisters Ann Smith (Maurice), Nancy Savoie (Gard), and Susan Arseneault (Jerry) all of Campbellton, NB; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Phyllis L. Cochrane

The family of Phyllis L. Cochrane (Dealy) wish to advise friends and family of her passing. Phyllis was a patient for 11 weeks at The Moncton Hospital before she was called home to her Lord. Family members kept a vigil for the past week ensuring that she was never left alone.

Phyllis was the widow of Darrell (Buzzie) Cochrane whom predeceased her, passing away June 11, 2011. She is survived by her son, C Darren of Toronto, two sisters, Joyce (Norman) Bremner of Moncton and Doris Targett (Lloyd) of Campbelton, two brothers, William and Bevis of Moncton. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her parents, Warren and Opel Dealy and a sister Faye Targett.

A funeral service will be held on Monday July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007), officiated by Rev. Ron Maund. There will be a light refreshment following the service and a time for sharing of memories. The interment will take place at Alderwood Cemetery.

The family will forever be so very grateful to the wonderful personnel of the 3600 wing of the Moncton City Hospital. The entire crew made Phyllis’ life one of peace and contentment. God bless each and everyone of them.
