Tomas Earl Murchie

Tomas Earl Murchie passed away July 7, 2001 at Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 85.

He was born September 24, 1915 to the late Archibald Murchie and Edna Powers.

He was born in Murcie Settlement and was predeceased by his wife Leila on December 7, 1997. He was also predeceased by his four brothers, William, Noman, Daniel and Albert and four sisters, Bessie, Hazel, Mayme and Opal.

He was a veteran of WW1.

Antoine Jean

The death of Antoine Jean of 72 Alford Drive, Tide Head, occurred July 25 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 74.

He was born in st Quentin on June 10, 1927 to the late Adrien Jean and the late Jeanne Caron. He was an upholsterer for 40 years, was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and was also a member of the United Commercial Travellers.

He is survived by his wife Corinne of Tide Head, his daughter Carmen (Kevin) Murray of Tide Head and Colette (Lawrence) Sypher of Moncton, his sisters Jeannine Gallant of Pointe à la Croix, Qc., and annette Turcotte of St Arthur, his brothers Robert of St Arthur and Jean Guy of MOntreal and his grandchildren Melissa and Matthew Murray.

William Jeffrey Brock

The death of William Jeffrey Brock of Atholville occured June 24 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 59. He was born in Stanstead, Qc., on June 17, 1942 to the late Henry E. Brock and the late Kathleen Manning.

He was retired and had been a teacher for 40 years. He was the president of the Campbellton Duplicate Bridge Club and of the Campbellton Lions Club and a member of the Board of Trustees for Soldiers Memorial Villa.

He is survived by his wife Ellen Brock of Atholville, his daughters Deborah Brock (Wilcox) and son in law John G. Wilcox of Montreal, his sons Jeffrey Brock and daughter-in-law Kimberly Brock (Girvan) of Bathurst, his brother Robert Brock of Stanstead, his granddaughters Jessica Lynn Brock of Bathurst and Katherine Shelby Marie Wilcox of Montreal and several nieces and nephews.

Jean Guy Gabriel Andre Themens

The death of Jean Guy Gabriel Andre Themensof the Dalhousie Nursing Home occurred July 17 at his residence. He was born in Montreal on September 11, 1917 to the late Joseph Napoleon Paul Themens and the late Rosanna Campagna. He was a senior accountant and CEO for Crane Canada.

He is survived by his wife Rita Mary Pendergast of Dalhousie, his daughter Dr. Mary Ellen Themens of Dalhousie, his sister Marie Paule Descarries of Montreal, his ssister-in-law Helen Pendergast of Dalhousie, his grandsons Paul Andre and David Russell, both of Dalhousie, nieces Anne-Marie, Henriette, Marie-Josee, Louise and Janet and Nephews Richard and Philip.

Elizabeth Ann Esliger

Elizabeth Ann Esliger of Black Point passed away at St Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie July 27, 2001. She was 54.

Born in Campbellton she was the daughter of Mae (Olsen) and the late Harold Dickie. She is survived by her mother Mae; her husband Giles: her two daughters Wanda nd Holly both of Jacquet River: two granddaughters Kayla nd Jami: Two brothers Niles (Ruth of St. George and David (Alma) of PEI.

She was predeceased by her father Harold Dickie and brother Norman.

Annie Giampaolo

Annie (Bujold) Giampaolo passed away at the LaSalle General Hospital on Friday, July 27. She was 92.

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Giampaolo, the loving mother of David, Michael and Lynn: dearest grandmother to Alison, Lucas, Patrick and Kyle, and dear sister of Yvonne.

She was predeceased by six sisters, May (Christina) Bujold, Clementine Christopher, Rita Leblanc, Georgina Kean, Rachel Marti, Agnes Olscamp and three brother, Richard (Pat) Bujold, Robert and Edward.

Lillian Sarah Wilson

The death of Lillian Sarah Wilson, wife of Emerson, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Pioneer Ave., Moncton, occured at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, July 25 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Georgina (McDavid) Irvine.

A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and the outdoors when her health permitted.

In addition to her husband Emerson, she is survived by two daughters, Janice Murray (Victor Mazerolle) of Moncton, Karen Russell (rev. George russell) of Listowell, Ontario, one son Royce (Joanne) of Moncton, one sister, Crandeleen Willet of Missasauga, Ontario, two brothers, Bedford (Tina) Irvine of Barrie, Ontario and Denzil (Geraldine ) Irvine of Campbellton, five grandchildren, Chirstina (Mark) MacDonald, Lucille Wilson, Sara Russell, Isaac Russell and Monique Wilson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one son, Dane, and brothers Duncan and Crandall.

James P. Landry

The funeral service for James P. Landry was held on July 4 at the St. Joseph Parish Church in Nash Creek with Rev. Comeau officiating.

He leaves to mourn his parents, James H. Landry and Genevieve Landry (Galloway); his brothers Tommy (Janice), Leo (Shirley), and Gregory F.; sisters Bernice Arnold (George), Betty Harvey (Lloyd), and Maureen Dennis (Ron), as well as many nieces and nephwes, cousins, and friends.

Cecilia Arseneau

Cecilia Arseneau of Dalhousie Nursing Home passed away there on July 23. She was 79. Born in Selwood on January 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late André and Délima Lapointe.

She is survived by her husband, Paul-Emile ARseneau of Dalhousie, two daughters, Rachel Arseneau-Ferguson (Paul) of Campbellton and Irène Arseneau (Blaine) Wodinski of Manotick, Ont.; two sons, George (Noella Belanger) of Campbellton and Louis (Barbara Perkinson) of Dalhousie and five grandchildren: Eric Steve David, Jenny and Derek.

Also surviving are five sisters, Beatrice Clancy of Montreal, Bella arseneau and Maria Murray (Johnny) of Dalhousie, Rita Leblanc (Georges ) of Campbellton and anita LaPointe of Bathurst and two brothers, Andre (Yvonne) of Dalhousie and Armand (Corey) of Owen Sound, Ontario.

Irene Phyllis (Firlotte) Coates

Irene Phyllis (Firlotte) Coates of Brampton, ON Passed away at Peel Manor in Brampton on June 17, 2001 after a lenghty illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Garnet Coates.

Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Annie (McLeod) Firlotte. She is survived by one sister, Maxine (Don) Watters of Halifax and one brother Auley (Mort) Firlotte of Campbellton. She was predeceased by one brother, Dallas Firlotte of Moncton, in October of 2000, She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Arthur Joseph Elie Levesque

Arthur Joseph Elie Levesque of Val d'Amour passed away at Campbellton Regional Hospital on July 15.

Born in Val d'Amour on January 26, 1939 and a retired mechanic, he was the son of the late Eric Levesque and Albina Maltais. He is survived by his wife Elda Main-Levesque: daughters Jolene Levesque, Nadège Roy, MOna Martin (Stepdaughter): sons Louis, Adam, Martin Main (Stepson): sisters Thérèse Perron, Cecile Lanteigne, Francoise Callahgan, Colette Levesque; brothers Lucien, Emile, Rhaoul and Rhéal Caissie (Stepbrother).

He is also survived by grandchildren, two great grandchildren(Shelsa and Anthony) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Florine Perron, his mother and father and one brother Yvon.

Mary Mathilda Clement

Mary Mathilda Clement of Listuguj, Qc., passed away at Campbellton Regional Hospital July 16 at the age of 76.

Born May 12, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Peter P. Clement and Madeline Vicaire. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford C. Steves.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne of New York, Isabelle, Caroline and Jeannie all of Listuguj; her sons Ernest Peter of New Richmond, Clifford and Steve of Listuguj; sisters Helen, Rose and Dorthy of Listuguj; brothers Ernest (Jane), Clarence Peter Sr., of Listuguj; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 39 nieces and nephews.
