Anne Walsh

Anne Walsh Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Tuesday, May 13 at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with cancer. Anne worked as a Care Taker at the Island Lake Club. She was the daughter of the late Omer Pelletier and Nora Diotte. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Bob Walsh; two sons, Bruce of Ontario and David (Carole Cayouette) of Dalhousie; three brothers, Edgar Pelletier (Faith), Robert Pelletier (Julie) and Jean Guy Pelletier (Blanche) all of Dalhousie. Three sisters, Jeannette (Bob Butland) of Dalhousie, Doris (Lucien Drapeau) of Balmoral and Claudette (Robert LeClair) of Dalhousie, two grand-children; Tia of Ontario and Danny of Dalhousie. She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Danny (1987) and brothers, Yvon and Marcel. Funeral mass was held Friday, May 16th at the St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie with Father Bill Arseneault officiating. Interment will be this summer in Eliot Lake, Ontario where she will be buried with her son Danny. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Charles Edward Senechal

Charles Edward Senechal died peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Monday, May 19th, 2008 at the age of 93 years. He had been a resident of Ottawa since 1961. Charles "Charlie" was born in Campbellton, NB, the son of Herménigilde Sénéchal and Eugénie Cloutier, both originally from the village of Baie des Sables on the Gaspé Penninsula. Charlie served with the Carleton York Regiment of the Canadian Army in World War II from 1940 to 1945. After the war, he worked in the Veterans' Land Act Branch of the Dept. of Veterans' Affairs in St. John New Brunswick and Ottawa. Following retirement, he devoted himself to caring for the needs of his family and friends. Charlie was the last living member of his siblings; his sister, Blanche; and his brothers, Émile, Alphonse, and Wilfred. He is loved and deeply mourned by his life-long love and wife, Mary, whom he married in 1935. He is survived also by three daughters, Arda Connors, Rosalie Brideau, and Roxanne Richardson; his son, Ronald; seven grandchildren; Christina, John, Jacqueline, Jason, Lynda, Sharon, and Rachel; and by five great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Grace, Helena, Teagan, and Travian. Charlie was a kind, loving humble person with a profound faith in God. His family were blessed to have him. They will always miss him. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Ottawa, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2340 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Thursday, May 22, 2008, at 10:30 am. Interment at Hope Cemetery. Joseph Cleophas Daigle

The death of Joseph Cleophas Daigle of Dalhousie occurred in Campbellton on May 19th, 2008 at the age of 79. Born in Bathurst on January 19th, 1929, he was the son of the late Donald Daigle and the late Marie Angeline Boudreau. Joseph Cleophas Daigle was retired from his position of Bodyshop Foreman at Lounsbury's Garage in Dalhousie after 44 years of service. Cléophas was a gentle man who liked people and was well liked in return. He was known as a hard-working man, honest and very ethical, who appreciated the simple things of life. He will remain, for always, part of us and his memory will contribute to our happiness in the future. He will be sadly missed by his children; son, Roger (Eveline Carrier), son Robert (Jeannette Plourde); his daughter, Noella (Alden Appleby) and his daughter, Rose-Marie Daigle; his grandchildren, Richard Daigle, Melanie Daigle (Sean Furto), Eric Robert Daigle (Stephanie Cormier), Mark Plourde, Lucie M. Appleby, Luce D. Appleby (Rene Cormier), Dominique Tellier-Daigle and his great grandson, Jacob Eric Daigle and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his brothers, Emile (Jeannine) and Claude (Carmel); his sisters, Marie-Rose (Leo Boudreau), Lucienne (Raymond Boucher) and Emilia (Bernard Melanson). He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Boudreau, his son, Claude and his sisters, Anabelle (Billy Webster) and Evangeline (Ernie Morrison). The Funeral was held from St. Jean Baptiste Church on May 22, 2008 officiated by Father Landry with burial in the St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Dalhousie. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Doreen Fecteau

The death of Doreen Fecteau of Dalhousie occurred on May 16, 2008 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home in Dalhousie, NB at the age of 78. Born in Dundee, NB on December 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George Parker and the late May Murphy. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Dragon (Frankie) of Edmonton, sons; Terry Fecteau of Toronto, Michael Fecteau of Woodstock, and Laurier (Jr.) Fecteau (Carol) of Moncton, sisters Jean Roy of Campbellton, NB, Marjorie Birnie of Toronto, On, Eileen Joncas of Rigaud, PQ, Joan Dunn of Mississauga, On, Argine McPhee of Niagra Falls, ON, brother Bernie Parker of Eel River Crossing, NB; grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Derrek, Brittany, Marieka, Sylvie and Justin. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Laurier Fecteau, brothers, Arnold, Gerald, Edgar and sisters, Jeanine and Margaret and granddaughter Charlotte. Her funeral was held at the St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on May 19, 2008 with Rev. Bill Arsenault officiating. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie. Maria Fontaine Est décédée le 16 mai 2008 à l'hôpital régional de Campbellton, Maria Fontaine de Balmoral à l'âge de 89 ans. Née le 12 mai 1919, elle était la fille de feu Joseph Parent (Jos) et de feue Philomène Godin et l'épouse de feu Lucien Fontaine. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles: Irène (Roger Sénéchal) de Québec, Clairine Fontaine de Balmoral, Ginette (Jean-Paul Boucher) de Campbellton, Linda (Gaétan Bernard) de Québec, Monette (Robert Sénéchal) de Balmoral, ainsi que ses fils: Roland (Géraldine Leblanc) de McKendrick, Gordon (Georgie Quirion) de Mirabel, et sa soeur Donia (Coun) Thibeault de Val d'Amours. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil 13 petits enfants et 14 arrières petits enfants. Les funérailles eurent lieu en l'église St-Benoit de Balmoral le lundi 19 mai avec le père Léo Lanteigne comme célébrant. Les porteurs étaient: Roland Fontaine, Gordon Fontaine, Serge Fontaine, Gaétan Bernard, François Boucher, Mathieu Boucher. Inhumation au cimetière de Balmoral. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Balmoral.

Alexander Goodine

The death of Alexander Goodine of Archibald, occured Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 90. Born in Armstrong, he was the son of the late John David Goodine & the late Ethel (Hickey). He was employed as a Bridge foreman for the Dept. of Transportation. Alexander is survived by his wife, Thelma (Brimsacle); son, Alex (Heather) of Archibald; Stepchildren, Bobby Brimsacle (Valerie) of Sunnyside, Austin (Audrey) of Sunnyside, Marjorie Mihaljevich (John) of Black Point, Ida Savoie of St. Raphael, Barbara Hickey (Andrew) of Archibald; 20 grandchildren, 33 greatgrandchildren and one great greatgrandchild; brothers, Delphis, Sanford, Leslie and a sister Mary. He was predeceased by his brother, Mike; Sister, Hilda Hickey and stepdaughter, Marilyn. His funeral was held from St.Gabriels Church, Jacquet River, Monday, May 19, 2008 with burial in the parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Goodine, Rodney Hickey, Andy Hickey, Austin Brimsacle, Robert Hickey & Leonard Arseneault. Honorary Pallbearers were Kevin Vautour, Bernard Savoie, Jason Cooling, Marc Curtis, John Mihaljevich, Harry Devereaux and Lloyd Hayward. Simonne Henry Roy

Simonne Henry Roy Est décédée au CLSC Malauze de Matapédia, le 20 mai, 2008 à l'âge de 91 ans, Madame Simonne Henry Roy. Née à St. Omer le 24 août 1916, elle était la fille de feu Clément Henry et de feue Anastasie Roussel. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles Nicole (Guy) Roy de Pointe-à-la-Croix et Céline Roy de Gramby, ses fils Jean-Guy Roy de Moncton, Bernard (Rachelle) Roy de Pointe-à-la-Croix et Michel (Yolande) Roy de Pointe-à-la-Croix, sa soeur Émilia Henri de Ville Lasalle, QC, ainsi que 12 petits-enfants, 14 arrières petits-enfants, plusieurs nièces et neveux. Prédécédée par son époux Antonio. Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l'Église Ste-Hélène de Pointe-à-la-Croix, vendredi le 23 mai à 11h00. Père Dalvida LeBlanc comme célébrant. L'inhumation au cimetière de la Paroisse. Les porteurs étaient Guy Lavoie, Marc Roy, Luc Roy, Daniel Roy, Sylvain Roy et Nicolas Roy. Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Campbellton. Blanche Irene Taylor Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 18, 2008 at the age of 86, Mrs. Blanche Irene Taylor. Born in Salisbury, NB, on January 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry MacDonald and the late Bertha Reeder. She leaves to mourn her husband, Conrad Taylor; her daughter, Susan Robertson of Tide Head; her sons, Lawrence (Diane) Taylor of Glencoe and Donald (Ruth) Taylor of Tide Head. Also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A private family service was held from Christ Anglican Church Campbellton on Tuesday, May 20th, at 2pm. Reverend Arnold Godsoe officiating. Interment at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Salisbury, NB. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Angeline Eva Vallis

Angeline "Eva" Vallis Peacefully, on May 20, 2008 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 89. Cherished wife of Aurele. Loving mother of Doris Parliament and Jim Vallis (Patricia). Proud grandmother of Danny, Michael, Andy and Tina. Great grandmother of Nick, Isaak, Cody and Jessica. Survived by her sisters Anne McLeod and Imelda Gagnon. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in New Brunswick at a later date. Après ton combat contre le cancer, Dieu est venu te chercher. Tu nous a montré ta force et ton grand courage. Tu étais mon bonheur, ma joie de vivre. Parfois, la vie est cruelle car ici tout est difficile sans toi. Tes enfants te manquent et ta famille et ma famille te manquent beaucoup. J'ai tellement besoin de toi, de ton amour et de tes paroles encourageantes. Mais, nous savons que tu es bien car au ciel, il n'y a plus de douleurs. Merci de veiller sur nous, on t'aime très fort. Ton épouse, Yvette, tes enfants; Julien, Mireille et Ti-Guy, ta mère, maman Dora, tes deux familles et tes amis.
