Grégoire, Julie 1981-2009
Julie Grégoire passed away on April 30, 2009, in Drummond, New Brunswick at the age of 27. Born in Grand Falls, she was the daughter of Denise Bourgoin of Drummond, formerly of Grand Falls and Roland Grégoire of Oshawa, Ontario, formerly of Pointe à la Croix, Quebec. After graduating from the John Caldwell School, Julie became a Licenced Practical Nurse. She worked for four years at the Victoria Glen Manor of Perth-Andover, before pursuing further studies in Ottawa where she became a dental hygienist. Following a diagnosis of terminal cancer at the young age of 24, Julie persistently demonstrated a courageous and loving attitude towards life. She was blessed with wisdom beyond her years that afforded her a positive perspective in facing the many challenges throughout the course of her illness and medical treatment. Julie's tenacious spirit was an inspiration to family and friends who loved her, as well as to many of the medical professionals who cared for her. Julie is survived by her parents, her brother, Denis Gregoire (Chantal) of Drummond; two step-sisters, Melissa Perley of Moncton, NB and Jessica Molloy of Collingwood, Ontario; and two half-sisters, Lisa and Emily Grégoire of Oshawa, Ontario. Julie was predeceased by her grandparents, Denis and Marie-Anne Bourgoin and Emerson and Antoinette (Savoie) Grégoire. Julie is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held at the Saint-Michel Roman Catholic Church in Drummond. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Global Angel Charity in Julie's memory would be appreciated.
