Robert Parker (1927-2010)

At the Regional Hospital in Campbellton passed away on May 31, 2010 at the age of 83 years, Robert Parker, husband of Therese Parker (Robichaud). Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Charles Parker and the late Suzanne Ferlatte. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by five children: Lise (Réginald Savoie), Bernard (Chantal Falardeau), Michel (Diane Mazerolle), Marc (Lise Martin), Joanne (Etienne Gagnon), three sisters: Alice Parker, Rita Dugas and Germaine Lavigne, one brother: Roger, seven grandchildren: Marise, Nicolas, Catherine, Mathieu, Eric, Guylaine and Marc- André, also two great-grandchildren: Olivia and Rebecca. Predeceased by two brothers: Leo, Paul and a grandson Jonathan. M. Parker was a member of the Knight's of Colombus, counsel 1946 and Garde Paroissial for many years. His funeral was held on Wednesday, June 2nd at 11 o'clock at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges in Campbellton. In memory of M. Parker, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Lena Thompson

Passed away at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton on May 24, 2010 at the age of 79, Mrs. Lena Thompson née Gallen of Campbellton. Born in Benjamin River on January 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Gallen and the late Regina Bertin. She leaves to mourn her husband Lloyd Thompson from Campbellton, her daughter Evelyn Baboulas née Keays from Campbellton, her sons Daniel Keays from Kingston, Tim Keays (Jennifer) Campbellton and Paul Robichaud (Esther) Jacquet River, her sisters Rose from Nash Creek, Corrine (Roger) Benjamin River and Betty from Ontario, her brothers Emile from Benjamin River, Norman (Valerie) Scarborough, ON and Leonard (Marie) Delhi, ON. Also survived by her grandchildren Daniel, Mathew, Joshua and Calla, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Vernon, brothers Ernest, Everett, Raymond and Lionel. The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel Campbellton on Friday, May 28th at 2pm. Reverend Douglas Phillips officiating. Interment at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Dorothy Phyllis Cook 1923-2010

Passed away peacefully at the Veteran's Unit of the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 27, 2010, Dorothy Phyllis Cook formerly of Tide Head and youngest daughter of the late John MacDonald and the late Myrtle {Cooling} MacDonald. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie Cook. She leaves to mourn her son, Robert of Atholville and one brother, Bruce {Beth} MacDonald of Belleville, Ontario, also several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a veteran of WWII, an employee of New Brunswick Telephone Co. in Campbellton, and also the Tide Head Post office. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's United Church, Tide Head and also a life member of the U.C.W. of St. Andrew's United Church. She loved music and often played the organ in church as well as for youth groups. She was also a very much-loved Sunday school teacher. Funeral was held from St. Andrew's United Church, Tide Head on Saturday, May 29th. L.P.M., Olive Ann Archibald officiated the service with burial at the Flatlands Cemetery. Carolyn (Lynn) Eva Godbout

Carolyn (Lynn) Eva Godbout The death of Carolyn (Lynn) Eva Godbout, loving wife of Jacques Godbout occurred unexpectedly on Thursday May 27, 2010 at her residence. Born in 1947 in Campbellton, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Marion Catherine (Dobson) Chesser. Lynn was devoted to her family and her church. She was involved in many aspects of St. Joachim's Parish. Besides her husband Jacques of 38 years, she is survived by her children Raelyn Lagace (Etienne) of Fredericton, Lori Godbout of Columbus, Ohio and Kenneth Godbout (Jody) of Moncton; grandchildren Jeremy, Bryan, Payton and Ellie; brother Lorne Chesser (Michelle) of Moncton; sister Donna Arseneault (Michael) of Campbellton; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son Jacques. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) where visitations were held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment took place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Annette Guitard 1937 - 2010

At the Robertville Nursing Home, Villa Sormany on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the age of 72, passed away Mrs. Annette Guitard of the Villa Sormany, Robertville and formerly of Armstrong Brook, wife of the late Maurice Guitard. She was the daughter of late Laurent and late Bernadette Guitard. She will be sadly missed by her children: Andre of Bathurst, Jean (Debbie) of Belledune, Julienne of Belledune, Jeannette (Lee Murphy) of Belledune, Anne Marie (Danny Doucet) of Petit-Rocher and Denise (Ben Charest) of Belledune; her sister Julienne Lambert of Longueil, Qc. She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral mass was held on May 28, 2010 in the St. John Evangelist Church, Belledune and officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were Daniel (Danny) Doucet, Benoit Charest, Lee Murphy, Roger Guitard, Jamie Murphy and Timothy Charest.
