Walter John Hamilton

The death of Walter John Hamilton, resident of the Campbellton Nursing Home, occurred at the nursing home on May 27, 2005, at the age of 85.

Walter was born in Campbellton on December 18, 1920. He retired from S.M.T. in 1985 after 39 years of service. He was also member of the air force from 1942 - 1946.

Surviving him is his wife Dorothy Irvine, son Mark (Nancy and her son Kerry Caron) of Campbellton, sisters Lila (Stanley) Floyd of Devonshire, Bermuda and Vivian Lavoie of Campbellton.

Predeceasing him was his daughter Cathy Audree on December 18, 1999.

The funeral was held from Gateway Assembly Church on Monday, May 30, 2005, officiated by Rev. Robert Masters, with interment in the rural cemetery. Pallbearers were Patrick Perron, Randall Kaine, Jules Mercier, Jack Harvey, Bev Johnston and Kenny Garret. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Sally Ann Belding

The death of Sally Ann Belding of 11 Landsdowne Street, Campbellton, occurred at her residence on June 3, 2005, at the age of 40.

Sally was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on October 7, 1964.

She is survived only by her daughter Christine Belding and predeceased by her son Christopher.

The funeral will be held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Culligan, with interment in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Marie Stella (May) Arbeau

The death of Marie Stella (May) Arbeau, of Dalhousie, occurred in Dalhousie on June 1, 2005, at the age of 78.

Born in East Bathurst, N.B. on October 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jean Baptiste Theriault and the late Marie Louise Blanchard.

Surviving is her husband Claude Herman Arbeau of Dalhousie, daughters Donna Miller of Point La Nim, N.B., Debbie Long of Nova Scotia, Joanne Laforge of Saint John, N.B., and Brenda Richards, sons Robert of Dalhousie Junction, John of Atholville, Brian of St. Quentin, David of Ontario, Raymond of Saint John, N.B., Donald of Ontario and Danny of Ontario. Also surviving are sisters Judy Lennox of Ontario and Edna Synette of Montreal, Quebec, 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The funeral was held from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie on Saturday, June 4, 2005, officiated by Rev. T.G. Culligan, with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Georges Lavoie

Georges passed away peacefully in Ottawa, on Monday May 23, 2005 at age 78. Loving father of Gisèle (Paul Richards), Michel (Svetlana Fayad), and the late Jean-Paul.

Cherished grandfather to Aaron and Nathan. Eldest son, brother to Thérèse (Butler), Léo, Marcel, Juliette (Bertin), Lionel, Arthur, Rose-Marie, Rosalie (Passemard), Rose Anna, and Rita (Aubut). He will be sadly missed by his family as well as many friends in Toronto where he resided. Georges will be forever remembered for his generosity and volunteer work. On May 28 a funeral mass was celebrated at Ste. Geneviève Church in Ottawa with Monsignor Gilles Lavergne presiding, and beautiful solos sung by Mme. Jacynthe Boyer accompanied by Mme Claire Nault at the organ. Internment will take place in Toronto and in Campbellton, N.B. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice, or a Mass offering would be appreciated.

TITUS, Anne

TITUS, Anne (Long-time member of the Barrie Country Club) Died with dignity and courage after her battle with cancer, at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on June 1st, 2005.

Anne Titus of Barrie in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Art Titus. Loving sister of Bill Culligan and his wife Theresa of Niagara Falls, Gene Culligan of Oshawa, Paul Culligan of Welland, Gail Partington and her husband John of Chelsea, Quebec, Henry Culligan and his wife Kathy of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Tom Culligan and his partner Paul Menard of Muskoka, Susan Culligan and her partner Julie Weaver of Chelsea.

Remembered by Aunt Camilla Foster and Uncle Stan Boudreau. Predeceased by parents Charles and Margaret Culligan and brother Gordon Culligan. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Anne's family would like to thank the Royal Victoria Hospital Palliative Care and Oncology Units for their care and support. Friends were received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOMES, Clapperton & Worsley Streets, Barrie on Sunday June 5th, 2005 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Greg Culligan, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church on Monday, June 20th, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Belledune, New Brunswick. Memorial donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Regional Cancer Care Centre would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded through www. steckleygooderham.com
