Cecile Marie Gallant
1907 - 2006

Cecile Marie Gallant of Moncton,NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday May 15, 2006 at the age of 99 years. She was born in Saint Simeon, Quebec on April 5, 1907. She was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB.

Survived by daughters Jacqueline Ringuette of North Bay ON, Betty (Adrien) Allard of Campbelton, NB, Ruby Botacin of St. Catherines ON, Rose-Marie Bill) Olyneck of Blairmore AB, Lorraine MacNeill of Peterborough ON, Doreen Dermentzis of Toronto ON, and Anne Munn of Riverview, NB; sons Don Murray of Port Hope ON, George (Grace) Gallant of Vancouver BC, Chester (Sally) Gallant of Thunder Bay ON, Lou Gallant of Alberta, Maurice Gallant of Richmond BC, and Richard (Sharon) Gallant of Campbellton NB; sisters Melvina Parker of Amherstburg ON, Elizabeth Caissie of Nouvelle Que, and Juliette LeBlanc of Windsor ON; also by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James H. Gallant in 1976; daughter Lucille in 1972; son David R. in 2001; sisters Regina Bujold, and Adelina Thedore; also by a half brother Renee LeBlanc. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Wednesday May 17, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00pm. There will be parish prayers on Wednesday evening at 8:30pm at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at The Holy Family Roman Catholic Church on Thursday May 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm with father Jeff Doucette officiating. Interment will be in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery, Campbellton, NB. In Cecile's memory, donations made to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.

Chester Perkison

On May 18th, 2006 at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, passed away at the age of 76, Mr. Chester Perkison, of 11 River Lane, Campbellton. Born in Campbellton on January 18th, 1930, he is the son of the late Martin Perkison and the late Blanche Allard.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Émilie Perkison (born Girouard); one son: Paul (Sandra Kerr), Lower Coverdale, NB; two sisters: France Cellard, Pointe ŕ la Garde, Constance Price, Richardville and one brother: Roland Perkison, Richardville.

The funeral was held from Mary Queen's Church, Campbellton on May 20th, 2006 at 11am. Father Morrison officiating. Interment in the Mary Queen's Parish Cemetery, McLeods. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Earl Scott Delaney
1925 - 2006

On May 17, 2006 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, passed away at the age of 80, Mr. Earl Scott Delaney, of Matapedia. Born in New Carlisle, QC on May 25, 1925, he is the son of the late Ernest Delaney and the late Mary Harvey.

He is survived by his wife, Honey Delaney (born MacNaughton); daughters: Hazel (Brian) Campbell, Toronto, ON, Irene (Jimmy) LePoidvin, Escuminac, QC, Dorothy (Robert) Lodge, Runnymede, QC, Maggie (Don) Cavers, Lethbridge, AB, Mary (Ross) Foreman, Red Deer, AB, Linda (Bill) Widdop, Lethbridge, AB, Ida Delaney, Matapedia, Heather(Wayne)Mann, Upsalquitch, Rose (Kelly) Reynolds, Lethbridge, AB, Susan (George) Court, Atholville, NB, Opal (André) Mill, Tide Head, Frances (Sheldon) Delaney, Campbellton; his sons: Billy (Doreen Vienneau), Matapedia, QC, Morris (Monique Carrier), Dalhousie; his sisters: Opal Scott, Montreal, Elizabeth (Bessie) Brabant, Montreal, QC, Mary March, Hamilton, ON, Fredia Leaderhose, Montreal, QC; his brothers: Hudson, New Carlisle, QC, Leonard, Brockville, ON and Walter, Victoria, BC. He is also survived by 25 grand children and 6 great grand children.

He was predeceased by 3 brothers: Robert, Jack and Morris.

The funeral service was held Saturday, May 20th, 2006 from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton at 2pm. Rev. Kraglund officiating.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Ervin James Mann
1938 - 2006

After a lengthy illness, Ervin Mann, 67, passed away peacefully May 4th, 2006 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Born November 4, 1938 in Mann Settlement, QC, he was the son of the late Alexander Irvine Mann and Dorothy Jean Lyons.

He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Marsha (Charlong) Mann and his children: Krista (Ross) Hartley of Miramichi, NB; Jason (Rachel) Mann of Tide Head, NB; Kevin (Wendy Friesen) Mann of Morris, MN; and Jeff Mann of Ontario. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Erica, Emily and Ryan. He also leaves to mourn brothers: Walter (Pola) Mann of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Dean (Evelyn) Mann of Campbellton, NB and sister Shirley (Robert) Yorke of New Minas, NS. He was predeceased by brother Herbert Mann and infant brother Austin.

Mr. Mann was employed by School District 15 as a bus driver for many years. He enjoyed camping and listening to music. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His kind and gentle manner will never be forgotten by all who loved him.

The beautiful memorial service took place on May 7th, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Campbellton with Rev. Douglas Phillips officiating. Pallbearers were dear friends Murdock Mann, Brian McParland, Alfred Vienneau Sr., and Fernand Girard.

Donations may be made in Mr. Mann's memory to the First Baptist Church, Campbellton or the Campbellton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Wayne Larsen

The death of Wayne Larsen of Nash Creek, occured suddenly Thursday, May 04, 2006, at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 59.

Born in Dalhousie, son of Alfred Larson and Mildred (Godin)

He is survived by his wife Marie LaPointe, his mother Mildred, his father Alfred, son Shawn (Lisanne) of Ottawa, grandson Jayven, sister Sarah Anne of Dalhousie, and his brother Glen of Dalhousie.

His funeral was held Tuesday, May 09, 2006, at St. Joseph's Church, Nash Creek, officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery.
