George Rosengren

The death of George Rosengren of Archibald occured at the Palliative Care Unit of St.Joseph Hospital Wednesday,July 25,2012 at the age of 92.Born in Archibald,he was the son of the late William & Laura (McAuley) Rosengren.

He was employed with the Frazier Company in Edmunston for thirty four years.

George was legal guardian to his neices Helen,Hazel,Claudette and his late nephew John.He is survived by his sisters;Jean Smearer of Jacquet River,Rhoda Smith (Percy) of Salmon Beach,Myrna MacIntosh of Archibald as well as several neices & nephews.He was predeceased by his brothers Claude & John.

Maxine Williams

The death occurred peacefully at St. Joseph Palliative Care Unit in Dalhousie on May 8, 2012 of Maxine (Polly) Elizabeth Williams (nee Pollock) age 84 years. She was born on August 28, 1927 in Glen Levit to her late parents Lansen and Georgina Pollock (nee Smith).

Polly is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters Anne (Douglas), Mintie, PEI, Sally (Robert) Davis, Ontario, Shauna (Patrick) Mcraw, NS, grandchildren Christopher (Katherine) Mintie, Scott (Jennifer)Mintie, Laura dAvis, Virgina (Euan) Petrie, Katherine Davis, Kaylie McGraw, great grandchildren Lauren, Davis and Marley Mintie, sister Jean (Wayne) MYles Tide Head, brother Leland (Linda ) Pollock, Squawcap, very special sister-in-law Shirley (Linden) Williams, sister-in-law Billy (Bud) Hanley, brother-in-law Earl (late Adelaide )Williams.

She was predeceased by infant son Rickey and husband George Junior 2006, sisters Ruth and Ellie, brothers Duncan and George.

Polly worked many years at Soldiers Memorial Hospital and upon retirement enjoyed time with her husband and friends, knitting, quilting, baking and the annual visits of her daughters and grandchildren.

George H.R. Jones

It is with great sadness that we announce that George H.R. Jones of Riverview and formerly of Campbellton, passed away Friday, July 27th at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home. Born in Newcastle on October 17, 1916, he was the son of the late Montgomery and Nellie Jones. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star.

George will be dearly missed by his daughter, Gloria Fitzgerald of Riverview, son James of Campbellton, grandchildren, Laurie McLaughlin, Tim Irvine (Kelly), Sandy Jones, Jamie Jones and five great-grandchildren; Kyle, Areauna, Morgan, Rachel and Caleb. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his loving wife of 72 years, Marjorie (Carter) Jones in February of this year, sisters Martha Fanjoy and Evelyn Wanguard and brothers Richard, James and Kenneth.

The family will be forever grateful for the tender care George received while living at McNair Manor, Riverview, the last ten months of his life and to the compassionate staff at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home where he had lived for only three short days.

Arthur Homer

The death of Art Homer of Dalhousie Junction occured accidently at his home Sunday,July 22,2012 at the age of 86. Born in Jacquet River,he was the son of the late John Thomas & Gertrude (Johnson) Homer.

Art was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his sons Douglas (Linda) of Fredericton,Kenneth (Beverly) of Sarnia,ON.,Lee (Cheryl) of Dalhousie Junction,3 grandchildren,4 great grandchildren as well as his brother John.He was predeceased by his wife Isobel;sisters Sylvia Hamilton,Lucy Mitchell,Mabel McCall, Winnie Ferguson & Elsie Synette.

Arthur Ryder

The death of Arthur Ryder of New Mills occured at the Palliative care unit of St.Joseph Hospital Dalhousie on Thursday,July19,2012 at the age of 87.Born in Jean Tallon,Quebec,he was the son of the late Jacques Donaldson & the late Bessie Gains.

Arthur is survived by his wife Mary (Vienneau),sons;Arthur (Sandra) of Kingston ON,Derrick (Louise) of Lake of Two Mountains PQ,Owen (Nancy) of Lake of Two Mountains PQ;daughters Marie Theresa Ryder of Lake of Two Mountains PQ,Priscilla Bernard (Ghislain) of Chateauguay PQ,Darlene Belanger of Rawdon PQ;9 grandchildren 7 greatgrandchildren as well as his sister Bessie.

Augustin Anderson

The death of Augustin Anderson of Dalhousie occured at the Palliative Care Unit of the St.Joseph Hospital Tuesday,July17,2012 at the age of 60.Born in Jacquet River,he was the son of the late Alfred & Violet (Guitard) Anderson.

Gussie is survived by his brothers Pat,Freddie,Allen,Joseph & Wendell.

Ella Godin

The death of Ella Godin of Lorne occured July 29,2012 at Palliative Care Unit of St.Joseph Hospital at the age of 90.Born in Lorne,she was the daughter of the late David & Stella(Lavigne)Carrier.

Ella is survived by her daughters;Joan Cady (Fred) of Lorne,Suzanne Parent (Omer) of Beresford,Inez Godin (Eric) of Lorne,Jamie Hickey (Scott) of Memramcook,sons;Livio of Harvey Station,Kenneth (Shirley) of Lorne,Ivan (Sandra) of Jacquet River,Preston of Caraquet coast,27 grandchildren,numerous great and great great grandchildren as well as her sister Rita LaPointe of Jacquet River.She was predeceased by her first husband Francis,second husband Walter,son George,daughter Rita and infant children Gene & Anne.

Ikkun (Ike) Uhm

Ikkun (Ike) Uhm passed away on July 23, 2012 after a lenghty illness with family by his side.

Beloved husband of Keeim (Kim), Loving father of Carolyn, Haewon, and Ja Yong.

Ike was a resident of Campbellton for 40 years. During that time, he worked as a radioloist at Soldiers Memorial, Dalhousie, and Campbellton Regional Hospital.

He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Restigouche Golf and Country Club.

Emma (Heppell) Blanchard

Emma (Heppell) Blanchard of Dalhousie passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home, on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at the age of 97. She was born in Balmoral on July 23 1915, daughter of the late Edmond and Hélène (Leblanc) Heppell. She was the wife of the late Aimé Blanchard (1991). She was a longstanding member of the Dalhousie CWL.

She is survived by her two daughters Eileen (Joanne) of Aldouane, Anne of Saint-John, one son Paul (Jocelyne) of Charlo, four grand-children Sylvie, Johanne, Mireille, Pierre Guy, seven great grandchildren, two sisters Alice ( late James Doherty), Claire (Allan MacDonald), one brother Léo Heppell (Rina), several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Guy (1966), her sisters, Alma (late Léo Mazerolle), Célina (late Wilfred Giroux) and her brothers, Edgar, Armand (late Marion), Gonzague (late Sylvia) and Donat Heppell.
