Beatrice (Aunt Bea) Collins
The death of Beatrice (Aunt Bea) Collins of 20 Renault Street, Campbellton, occurred at the Village Nursing home, Campbellton on December 30, 2001 at the age of 91.
She was born in Mann's Settlement, Quebec, on December 29, 1910 to James Kaine and Bertha Irvine, both now deceased.
She was a homemaker, belonged to the Kennage Seniors Fellowship, womens' ministries and enjoyed her church, family, friends, kniting, reading and baking.
She is survived by daughters Marsha Strang of Winnipeg and Ursula (Clair) Mullen of Fredericton; son Marvin (Marie) Collins of Clandeboye, Manitoba; five granddaughters and four grandsons and 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Perley; three sisters, Murtle, Florella and Dolly and four brothers, Andrew, Wellington, Eursal and John.
Funeral services were held from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Campbellton on January 2 officiated by Reverends R. Masters, C.A Mullen, S. Matchett, R. Harris and B. Crooks. Interment in the Campbellton Rural cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randall Kaine, J.P Perron, Fred Mundle, Ken Matchett, Bill Sponagle and Wayne Keays.
Honourary pallbearers were Billy Irvine, Henry Harris, Patrick Perron, Blair Charlong, LeslieJohnson, Walter Brisk and Girvan Harding,

Florida Lagace
Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Florida Lagace which occurred on January 4, 2002 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years and 11 months.
In her first marriage she was the spouse of the late Pierre Levesque and in her second marriage she was the spouse of the late Marcel Lagace.
She is survived by her daughters, Emilienne (John Boudreau), Georgette (Armand Fortier), Ginette (Paul-Emile Savoie), Jeannine (Rene Albert), Pierrette (Bernard Perron), Danatienne (Yvon Lagace) and Huguette (Denis Ouellette); her sons, Harmel (Marcella) Levesque and Donald (Gabrielle) Levesque; daughter-in-law Doris Levesque Fitzgerald; her sisters, Celina (Eugene Leblanc) and Clemence Soucy; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Gordon.
Funeral services were held January 5 from Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur, Val D'Amour.
Pallbearers were Yan Levesque, Remi Levesque, Jason Levesque, Etienne Savoie, Jonathan Perron and Mathieu Albert.

Yvonne Doyle
The death of Yvonne Doyle, wife of William Doyle, of Nash Creek occurred December 26th at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie, at the age of 65.
She was the daughter of Edmund LaPointe and Marie (Gauthier). She is survived by nine children, Raymond (Linda) of Mitchell Settlement, Lynous of Orillia, Ontario, Douglas of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Barry (Ann Marie) of Nash Creek, Marlene (Tommy) Lawlor of Belledune, Eugene of Toronto, Lisa of Nash Creek, Ronnie of Charlo and Danny of Dalhousie. She is also survived by three sisters, Alice Culligan of Jacquet River, Phyllis Russel of Oshawa, Ontario, and Josie Chater of Toronto; three brothers, Denis LaPointe of Thunder Bay, Billy LaPointe of Jacquet River and Eugene Lapointe of Ripples, New Brunswick. Also several grandchildren, nieces and Nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Kevin, and a brother, Lindsay.
The funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, September 9th at St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, with burial at the Parish Cemetery.

Henri Levesque
Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Henri Levesque which occurred at he Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 22, 2001 at the age of 52.
He is survived by his parents, Gilbert and Alice; two sons, Jean Marc and Stephane; his sisters, Gilberte (Gilles Leduc), Ida (Claude Lejour). Diane (Francois Barbier) and Gaetane (Serge Lacomb); his brothers, Patrick (Diane), Rosaire (Carole), Jean-Noel (Marie-Josee), Emmanuel (Nicole), Gaetan (Chantale) and Ernest and Serge Levesque.
The funeral mass was held December 24 from Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Church in St. Arthur.
Active pallbearers were Serge Levesque, Jean-Noel Levesque, Emmanuel Levesque, Francois Barbier, Mathieu Barbier and Michel Raymond.

Romeo Savoie
Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Romeo Savoie which occurred at the Bathurst Regional Hospital on December 26, 2001 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his two daughters, Therese and Irene; his sons, Bernard, Robert, Patrick, Romuald, Armand, George-Emile and Lucien; his sisters, Anne-Marie (Willie LeBlanc), Irene (Jack Fraser) Therese (Bernard LeBlanc), Soeur Dorina, Hermance (Roland Gauvreau), Jeanne (Paul-Emile Lagacy) and Rose-Marie (Raymond Levesque); his brothers, Marcel (Antoinette), Normand (Jeannine), Alain (Simonne), Conrad (Renee), Mario, Ange-Emile (Diane), Daniel (Pauline) Leo (Colette) and Louis-Joseph (Antoinette); and by 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass was held December 29 from Notre-Dame du Sacre Coeur, Val D'Amour.
Active pallbearers were his sons Bernard, Armand, Patrick, George, Emile and Lucien.

Patricia Leida Dunn
The death of Patricia Leida Dunn of 8 Minto Street, Campbellton and formerly of Dawsonville, occurred December 27, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
The daughter of the late Clarence and Laura Irvine, she was born in Mann's Settlement, Quebec on December 20, 1933.
She was a homemaker and a W.I. member.
She is survived by her husband, Allison (John) Earl Dunn; daughters Mary Lou (Allison) Cooling of Dawsonville and Nancy Lee (Pierre) Diotte of Dalhousie; sons Allison (Suzanne Audet) Dunn of Dawsonville, and John dunn and Frederick Dunn, both of Ontario; sisters Doreena (Maxwell) Firth of Robinsonville, Shirley (Cyril) Reed of Newfoundland, Muriel (Donald) Archibald of Campbellton, Beulah Stordy and Vera (Louis) Topper, brothers John Fearon Irvine (Irma) of Nova Scotia and James Irvine (Joan) of Ontario; and grandchildren Jason Dunn, Jerome and Reginald Cooling, Amy Cooling and Allison Dunn Jr.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Stella Irvine.
Funeral services were held December 30 from Maher's funeral Chapel, Campbellton with Rev. John Spurrell officiating. Interment in the Dawsonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Archibald, Wayman Dunn, Allie Cooling, Sterling Dunn Jr., John Downs and Gerald Hennigar.
Honourary pallbearers were Joseph Hennigar, Frederick Cooling, Roy Thompson and Bill Thompson.

Robert Smith
The death of Robert Smith of 494 Queen Street, Dalhousie, occurred January 4, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital, Dallhousie at the age of 56.
He was born in Dalhousie on August 22, 1945 to George Albert Smith Senior and Esther Arseneault. He had worked at NBIP for 10 years and at School District 5 for 10 years.
He is survived by his common law wife, Francine Mallet; his mother, Ester Smith of Balmoral; daughter Sylvie Smith of Bathurst; sons Sylvain Smith of Campbellton, and Marc Smith of St. Arthur; brothers Albert Jr. (Irene), Patrick (Fernande) and Gerard (Bertha) all of Dalhousie; sisters Jeanne (Bob) Mentis of Dalhousie and Yvette (Andre) of Eel River and grandchildren Erica, Ashley, Shawn, Melissa, Annie, Dany and Mary-Lynn.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert Sr., and one sister, Simonne.
Funeral services were held from Saint John Bosco Church, Dalhousie on January 7 with Father Chamberlain officiating and with interment in the parish cemetery.

Rita Robichaud LeClair
The death of Rita Robichaud LeClair of Dalhousie occurred on December 28, 2001 at the Dalhousie Senior Citizens Home at the age of 87.
She was born in Shippagan on December 16, 1914 to Edmond Robichaud and Ida Gallant.
She is survived by sons Donald (Jacqueline), Rheal (Lorraine) and Maurice (Alice), all of Dalhousie, and Ernest (Jeannine) of Balmoral; sisters Jeannine Robichaud of Dalhousie and Freda Chistie of Bathurst, brothers Auguste and Gilles, both of Dalhousie, and grandchildren Suzanne, Lisa, Jessica, Derek, Shylah, Shane, Tanya, Miche, Daniel and Julie
She was predeceased by her husband Benoit and her parents Edmond and Ida.
Funeral services were held December 31 from Saint John Baptist Church, Dalhousie, officiated by Father Yvon Doiron.

Gertrude "Gertie" Hennigar
Friends and relatives were saddened to learn of the death of Gertrude "Gertie" Hennigar which occurred at her home in Glenlevit on December 18, 2001 at the age of 48.
Gertie is survived by her father, Joseph Sr.; her sisters, Rena, Charlotte, Marion, Brenda and Marlene; and brothers Gerald, Richard and Vaughn. She was predeceased by her mother, Bertha Dunn.
The funeral Mass was held December 21 from St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton with interment in the Glenlevit Catholic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jules Mercier, Rodney Gauthier, William Gauthier, John Downs, Danny Farrah and Tico Lanteigne.
Honourary pallbearers were Barbara Simons, Lorrette Cyr, Sheila Good fellow, Cathy Johnson and Diane Roy LeClair.
Funeral arrangements were placed in the professional care of Chaleur Funeral Home, 47 Alexander Street, Campbellton and reading of the eulogy by Florence (Chatterton) Way, a long-time friend of the family and a former neighbour, whose words were most heartfeelt by all those in attendance.
The remains were placed in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery Receiving Vault with burial to take place in the spring of 2002 beside her late husband and daughter.
Rosaline Gray of Dalhousie died peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital Friday, January 4th, at the age of 63. She was born in Petit Rocher, the daughter of Arthur Richard and Elizabeth (Leblanc).
She was a beloved constant companion of Bill Snyyder. Rosaline will be sadly missed by Bill and his daughters, Marlene and Denise.
She will also be sadly missed by her loving family: sisters Osithe (Omar) of Wallaceburg, Ontario; Emelia of Wawa, Ontario; Ann Marie (Henry) of Fredericton and Albertine of Jacquet River; her brothers Malcolm (Donna) of Moncton, Joe and Emile of Wallaceburg, Ontario; Gerard (Ann Marie) of Nash Creek; Albert (Lise) of McKendrick and Romain (Sharon) of Jacquet River.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Adrienne and Lucienne and brothers Francois and Alfred.
Her funeral was held at St. Gabriel's Church Monday, January 7, with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Richard, Jason Richard, Scott Richard, Francois Richard, Mary Lou Richard and Stephanie Hickey.

Mrs. Lucille "Lucy" Girard, 70, of the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton Regional Hospital.
Born In Neguac, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Antoine and the late Jane (nee LaTulippe) Savoy. Mrs. Girard had worked at the Restigouche Hospital Centre and was a parishioner of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Roman Catholic Church, Campbellton.
She is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline (Wilbrod) Talbot of Kedgwick; One son, Albert (Barbara Parsons) of Shediac; one sister, Eleanor Savoy of Neguac; and by one grandson, Jean-Francois.
Mrs. Girard was predeceased by her husband, Georges-Emile in 1983, One son, Jacques in 2000; two sisters, Lilly and Alice as well as by seven brothers, Matt, Georges, Pat, Joe, Randall, Lawrence and Gerry.
The funeral Mass was celebrated from Notre-Dame-des-Prodiges Roman Catholic Church, Kedgwick on January 4, 2003 with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.

Marie Plourde, 60, of Dalhousie passed away on January 4, 2002 at the Dr. Georges. L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, N.B.
Born on May 28, 1941, in Dalhousie, N.M., she was the youngest daughter of Melanie and the late Martin Chamberlain.
Marie was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and sense of humour touched all who knew her. She will be missed by her four children, Carole (Leo) Doiron, Julie (Burton) Empey, Marc Plourde and Bernard Plourde; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; her mother Melanie Chamberlain of Moncton; one brother Guy Chamberlain; three sisters, Opal Chamberlain and Zita Preston all of Moncton and Therese Ciechon of Virginia (USA); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Mass was celebrated on January 8 at 11 am at the St. Joseph Parich Church in Shediac, N.B., with a reception to follow.
The family is very grateful to the wonderful nurses and doctors who cared for Marie at the George L. Dumont hospital during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation.
