Alice Culligan
The death of Alice Culligan of Jacquet River, wife of the late Roe Culligan, occurred Wednesday, May 24th at the age of 76. Born in Mitchell, the daughter of Edmond LaPointe and Marie (Gauthier).
She is survived by her daughters Karen Firlotte of Jacquet River, Judy Culligan of Jacquet River, sons Earl of Jacquet River, John of Jacquet River, Kevin (Rose) of Black Point and 1 grandchild Cassidy. Also surviving are brothers Gene of Ripples, Billy of Becketville, as well as her sisters Josie of Toronto, and Phylis of Toronto.
She was predeceased by her husband Roe, sisters Yvonne Doyle, brothers Lindsey and Dennis.
Her funeral was held from Saint Gabriel Church, Jacquet River, Saturday, May 27th officiated by Father David Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were- Wayne McAlister, Rick Lavigne, Keith Culligan, Andrew Culligan, Eugene LaPointe, Jason Lapointe, and Billy LaPointe.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home Black Point.

Arthur Casey
1928 - 2006
At the Campbellton Regional Hospital passed away on May 18th, 2006 at the age of 77, Mr. Arthur Casey, of Balmoral. Born in Charlo on September 21, 1928, he is the son of the late Arthur Casey and the late Mildred Landry.
He leaves to mourn his wife Mrs Annette Casey (born Lalibertie), four sisters: Bertha Norton, Smithers, BC, Eilleen Lalibertie, Currona, ON, Rita Horritch, Sarnia, ON, Mary Lou Casey, Dalhousie and one brother: Clifford Casey, Wyoming, ON.
The funeral was held from St. Benoit's Church, Balmoral on Monday, May 22nd, 2006 at 11am. Father Lanteigne officiating. Interment to take place in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
LEIGHTON, Evangeline nee Carr
Passed away peacefully Friday, May 26, 2006 at the age of 87 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, in Montreal. Survived by sisters Rosie Dion and Cecile Caron and brothers Clifford and Gerald Carr.
Evangeline was the loving wife of George and mother to George jr., Nancy Kizner, Barbara Aubut, Sandra Crotty, Stephen Leighton, Sharon Tassé and Belinda Leighton and was predeceased by her son Wayne Robert Leighton. Evangeline was grandmother to 12 and great-grandmother to 11.
A special thank you to Annalea Liberty Leighton who was thought of as a daughter for her loving care to Evangeline throughout her life.
Visitation will take place at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec (514 279 6540) on Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
James "Jimmy" Irvine
1957 - 2006
In Edmonton, Alberta, passed away on May 17th, 2006 at the age of 48, Mr. James "Jimmy" Irvine of Edmonton, Alberta. Born in Campbellton on December 07, 1957, he is the son of Mrs. Jeannette Parent of Campbellton and the late Stanley "Buddy" Irvine.
He is survived by his wife Sherri, one son: Keelan, sisters: Debbie, Darlene, Gail, brothers: Len, Ralph, Steven, Barry and by many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is predeceased by one brother Clark.
A memorial service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, May 30th, 2006 at 2pm. Father Morrison officiating. Interment in "Our Lady of Snows" parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Lorne W. Nichol
Lorne Nichol passed away on May 11, 2006 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. His Father, Earle Nichol, his Mother Margaret McLeod and his brother Bill predeceased him.
He is survived by his sister Anita of Sudbury, Ontario, his daughters Gail Nichol of London Ontario, Katie Ryan of Ottawa Ontario, his sons Daryl and wife Mary Nichol of Athabasca Alberta, Elton and wife Patti Nichol of St. Albert Alberta, and five grandchildren Anna-Marie, Adam, Whitney, Kyle and Krystnn.
He will also be greatly missed by Evelyn Court-Nichol of Escuminac Quebec, and Sandra Ryan of Campbellton, NB. The Funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, May 16th, 2006 at 2:30. Wendell Gregan "LPM" officiating.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Marc Dufour
1914 - 2006
The death of Mr. Marc Dufour of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on May 20, 2006, at the age of 91.
Born in St-Quentin, he was the son of the late Edouard Dufour and the late Adelia Ouellette.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Noella (Carrier) Dufour of Campbellton; his daughter Rachel Dufour of Campbellton; his son Roch Dufour (Lyne) of Grand-Falls; grandson Marc-André of Grand-Falls; sisters: Yvette Manello of St-Jean-Baptiste, N.B., Laurence LeBlanc of Mont Joli, Quebec and Thérèse Surette of Pointe-de-l'Église, N.S.; brother Yvon Dufour of Petit Rocher, N.B. Many nieces, nephews and friends will also missed him.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters: Rita & Anaïs, and his brother Jean-Marie.
The funeral was held from Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church in Campbellton on May 23, 2006, officiated by Father Roméo Morrison, with interment in the St-Jean-Baptiste cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the professional care of Savoie Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Matthew Killoran
The death of Matthew Killoran of Belledune, occured suddenly Monday, May 22, 2006, at his residence at the age of 77. Born in Belledune, son of the late Reginald Michael Killoran and Phylis Loretta (McGovern)
He is survived by his brothers Robert(Gertrude) of Belledune, Terrance(Wendy) of Cranbrook, B.C., Bernard(Lucille) of Kingston, On., George of Belledune, Charles(Helen) of Nash Creek, Joseph(Judy) of Saskatoon. Also surviving are sisters Elenor Kelly(Frank) of Detroit, Roberta Bruno of California, and Phylis Angela Deslippe of Detroit.
He was predeceased by his sister Kay and brother Gerald
